The Federal Republic of Dioswania is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by President with an iron fist, and renowned for its fear of technology, complete lack of prisons, and hatred of cheese. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 12.275 billion Dioswanians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Casaroja. The average income tax rate is 93.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Dioswanian economy, worth a remarkable 2,515 trillion Pesos a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Retail, Tourism, and Information Technology. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 204,926 Pesos, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.5 times as much as the poorest.

Five-year-olds who refuse to line up on command get gold stars, the fattest folk in Dioswania look to be the happiest ones, the government's suicide hotline now redirects callers to local tax lawyers, and motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dioswania's national animal is the Squirrel, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Sunni Islam.

Dioswania is ranked 8,628th in the world and 106th in the South Pacific for Most Corrupt Governments, with 168.29 kickbacks per hour.
