The results of the polls had come in.

Thousands held their breaths as on their holoscreens, the polls flashing as the votes poured in. The tallies went up, and they watched. Of course, everyone knew the results. The mainstream parties had collapsed, and the GVP had taken the slice of the decadent three-layer cake, and had eaten it too. It was reality. Once a small fringe party that had vehemently venerated fascism, xenophobia, and the Oranic sect of Crymenathean religion, it had grown. It had expanded even as the PSR and the establishment had failed to protect the nation in the face of Hegemonic war. The establishment that people once had put their faith in had failed to prevent the various Republics of the Federation from seceding. It had failed to keep the country together and stable. The people had had enough of this nonsense. They had voted, both with their feet and with their holoscreens. The xenos, mostly Prekrasnayans, had seceded in prior months, leaving little opposition to the fascists gaining support from all sectors of society. The coalition of the moderate and radical GVP had swept every other party in the elections, and as the final tallies trickled in and the triumphant music played, people knew that the days of weak Hyperborean democracy were over. The Imperial Federation was about to become a new beast, one that would achieve its aims by any means possible. As fireworks erupted over the skies of Mirgrad and people cheered, some having already predicted the victory of the GVP, and the atmosphere was jovial. The Hyperborea Resurgent Party had won with nearly 79% of the vote. Every other party had collapsed, and now, the fascists were in charge.

The GVP first began by dissolving both the Soviet and the Duma, filling its ranks with loyal ministers who would not dare to speak against the Party. Then, the monarchy. Tsar Ksaryev, Tsaritsa Luna, and the entire Hyperborean Imperial Family had fled to Prekrasnaya, and now, they were branded as traitors to their homeland and banished, with all royal titles and aristocratic titles wiped out. Then, the purge of all government to rid the Federation - now renamed the Imperial Hyperborean Empire - of all of its pre-Imperial influences. Thousands were executed in the streets as brutal totalitarian rule began establishing itself over Hyperborea. Personal freedoms curtailed, police and military forces expanded, rights and liberties suspended indefinitely - the country had returned to its pre-democratic roots, just like that. The military was placed under total government control, and made to swear an oath of complete loyalty to the state. The GVP had begun establishing entrenching itself into all facets of life within the country, and now, democracy and rights were no more. Xenos were first placed under a code of laws called the Verdansk Laws, which sought to strip them of their citizenship, revoke their ability to have rights of a citizen, and eventually, deport them all to the newly-independent Prekrasnaya. If that failed, mass killings on the streets ensured that xenos fled of their own free will, leaving in droves to find refuge in the aforementioned Republic. While trade and the economy continued to flourish, the Hyperborean government had begun to nationalise and micromanage its megacorporations, and now, the economy was fully under party control. The GVP had consolidated, and now, it wouldn't be going anywhere. The nation supported this. As long as their culture and their daily lives were unchanged, who cared if there were a few vacancies in the workforce, or there were traitors being killed outside? As long as they continued to get paid and got benefits from the state, they were loyal to a GVP that was receptive to what they wanted. The Party benefitted from inaction, and so far, the Hyperborean people seemed to fit that bill. More laws would be passed, restricting the practice of religions other than Crymenathea and the Hyperborean Orthodox Church, and the Government had begun to incorporate religious ministries into its operations. It seemed that every day, the Empire was becoming less and less of its former self, even as it assured the world that everything was alright.

And now, the GVP was ready to achieve its ultimate aim. It was to aim for a rebirth of the Hyperborean eagle - much like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Federation would ascend.

For one and for all.

As this is likely my... last actual RP line for this nation, I ask kindly that no one intervene in what happens next. I'll also be transferring all of my character RP to Prekrasnaya since that's most likely the nation I'll be using from now on.

Sector Z of the Black Mesa Research Facility

Sector Z, a recently opened sector has just opened for all Black Mesa Personal and even outsiders. Debate within Black Mesa higher ups where in question with what to do with Sector Z, many proposals had come up for Sector Z, eventually a compromise would be made Sector Z would house both the Black Mesa Special Tactics Sector and Hazardous Environment Suit Research, Testing and Training or BM-STS and HEVS-RTT respectively.

BM-STS would be an arena fight simulator using Virtual reality to emulate what it would actually be like. It can have up to 20 people with either four teams or two teams. BM-STS would use information given to them by their IA allies, Combat data over the centuries of war or from Intelligence gained over foreign nations to make various recreation of army units to be as accurate as possible, this could go from IEI clones to Columbian Clone troopers to Ebbotian Marines to Hegemonic Guardsmen and further. There would also be over 50 maps of various combat scenarios form Forest combat to City combat to combat in Plains. Each team would start with four 'crystals' which could be either 'upgraded' or 'randomized'. Upgrading would move it up a tech level starting at 0 and stopping at 5. Higher tech levels means they will beat a lower-level unit even if the lower-level unit has higher 'strength' or 'rarity'. The rarer your unit is the better it will be in the area, there are five rarity levels, increasing from worst to best the designations are: 'Common', 'Uncommon', 'Rare', 'Legendary', 'Godlike'. Strength gives a direct attack and health bonus, going up to 3 and the baseline being 0. There are also 80 points that each team will start out with randomizing costing 1, upgrading costing 6, 12, 18, 24, and 30 for each level, and winning a round will net you 4-8 points and losing will only give you 1 point. There are also various optional things such as special rounds happening every 2 to 3 rounds either being a surviving a military assault, orbital bombardment, or escaping from a small map.

Shortly after the discovery of the borderworld of Xen Sector Z would add the "Hazardous Environment Suit Research, Testing, and Training" to its location. It would be used by the newly founded Black Mesa Survey Team, or just Survey team to produce the Hazardous Environment Suit, often nicknamed the HEV Suit. Scientists from the Sector F Lambda Team would refuse to enter into Xen without this nictitating it's production. The HEV Suit Mark I would be produced by the HEVS-RTT Team rather quickly, with it simply protecting against radiation and bullets, to an extent, usually 10 before serious injuries are administered, the HEV Suit would also have trackers in it to allow Xen to be mapped out, if possible. Due to the Lambda team needing these HEV Suits, the Sector's logo would also be printed on its center. As soon as the HEV Suit Mark I began production the Mark II would enter into early stages due to the Mark I needing to be out as soon as possible. Many who worked on the Mark I would call it "Nothing more than a glorified suit of armor from the Middle Ages." Effort would go into the idea of making charging stations to strengthen it for the planned Mark III. For now, the Mark II would work on giving it actual radiation protection worthy of Black Mesa.

Exploration of Xen

Sector F, the Lambda Complex. Tasked with testing Portals and dealing with Hazardous Materials. The Lambda team for a while had been close to a Portal, going where was the part nobody knew. For months at this point the project had trudged along. On that day in May they had been close in their readings; they had even gotten a portal open for a few minutes' prior in the month. Eventually after a few tweaking of the machine and turning it on... Green flashed to yellow flashed to green again for everyone's eyes it was blinding, if not for the fact it went away. Teleportation Humanity's finest achievement made possible here at Black Mesa. Two willing and brave scientists would take the leap of fate and enter to whatever they had just found. Perhaps it was a new land for Nigeria to colonize and settle, or a scientists' dream with weird things that could have interesting technological uses, only time could tell. Meanwhile shortly after the scientists entered the new region a scan would be done on it, and it would be found to be quite radioactive and once the Scientists left the new region the portal would need to be forcefully closed and reopened in a more secure location. This would also call for the Hazardous Environment Suit, or HEV Suit to be produced by Sector Z.

The Outer Rim of the Hyperborean territories were quite disconnected from the rest of the country, in an isolated patch of nearly 6,000 systems far away from the main territories, that were mostly culturally and ethnically Hyperborean. This region had rejected central rule by from Mirgrad and had declared their independence as the Ryuzhna Republic as soon as the election was held. These systems, considered to be too much of a hassle to manage and reconquer (having resisted centralised rule for centuries), were allowed to leave peacefully as the last act of the departing government, and the GVP had no interest in getting them back.
