The United States of Quincy functions under capitalism with socialist aspects. We do have a free market, yes, but it is subject to some government regulation to prevent the formation of major monopolies on the economic stage. Other than that, not much else, besides maybe Quincy's universal healthcare policy?

Full socialism, and even communism, is too idealistic to work. Both posit that people do not inherently act greedy and for self-serving purposes.

I don’t know about full independence, since that would cause a situation of an independent country in the middle of your own, not to mention that nation would have to rely on you for all of it’s access to the outside world. Another factor is could the economy of such country support itself on it’s own. Rather than giving Székelyföld full independence, I would give it far greater autonomy, maintaining the territorial integrity, but still allowing Székelyföld much greater freedom

Their great-great-great-great and more great grandfathers did the slavery and colonization, what did the modern citizens do? Portugal is still responsible for a bunch of horrid stuff but they did pretty much all of it 500, 400 years ago
