Greetings, Chevyland, Tunilar, Johno Stra, Gamertown!

Welcome to the Pacific! We're delighted to have you here. It can be a bit daunting to play NationStates or to be in the Pacific for the first time (or if you're just coming back!), but we're here to help you out. Below you'll be able to find a checklist of things you can do to get started as it will help you get a grasp of the basics and introduce you to the wider Pacifican community. If you're not new to NationStates but new to the Pacific, do make sure to still follow the instructions; it helps out a ton!

  • First things first, join the World Assembly! It's like the United Nations but in NationStates. If you're confused on how to join the World Assembly, this guide should be able to help you out.

  • Once you've joined the World Assembly, you can endorse any nation that is also in the World Assembly. It is extremely important for the security of the region that you make sure to endorse our World Assembly Delegate East Durthang.

  • Now that you've endorsed our World Assembly Delegate, you can join our forums and then apply for citizenship in the New Pacific Order. At most, the process will take a few days, and then after that - you're officially a citizen of the New Pacific Order.

  • The last thing that you need to do to get started is to join our Discord server. It allows you to communicate with all the members of the New Pacific Order, stretching across 3 main branches and other games as well. Since you're a citizen, you'll also get access to the special citizens-only channel too.

    BONUS

  • If you fancy yourself as a roleplayer, it's important that you make sure to read the RMB Roleplay Guidebook as it allows you to get an understanding of the basics of how roleplay is conducted in the Pacific. If you don't like the type of roleplay presented, you might want to consider joining the other Pacifican Roleplay Groups.

We hope you have a great time here in the Pacific!

Regards,
The New Pacific Order

Elyreia
Not on my usual writing place, but hope that it is still enjoyable nonetheless.

The Train station at Kussel was packed today, though it was not a holiday where many people would be visiting Family outside the city. No, it was an excursion of the visiting Elyreians into the wider Stollberg-Stolberger Nation, particularly the still-not-visited Inland which could have been only noticed from pictures on the Internet or in books provided on the evacuating ship. The train station was nothing special in particular and was also already seen on arrival to the city. It mirrored many of the smaller cities' style of Train station with a clock tower and partially enclosed train hall. The Slyrtum Train Station was something more titanic in contrast which showed how the train transport was a very popular and funded way of travel across the nation. It was also chosen in favour of bus rides to the inland due to the safer and easier travels it provided, even if some of the scenic points on roads were lost to the visitors. The clock struck 9:15 and the guests could hear a toot on the platform as the train moved into way.

It was a beautiful train, an electric train in the form of an old locomotive that would have ventured the tracks a hundred and fifty years ago. The shiny beige and dark blue polish and colour of the train was enstamped with silver lettering in a foreign language that was most likely High Stollbergsch, it probably just showed the name of the company running the train. Thus everyone was assisted inside by the uniformed conductors and took place among the insides. These insides were made up of table groups in red cushioned seats and a clean walkway with carpeted floors. The walls were adorned in walnut wood tiles and other ornamental structures were also presented. It was most certainly noticed that their "second home" wanted to impress them and leave a good taste in their mouth. Several entertainment options were presented in common or as Stollberger music as the route would take some time. A last look at the platform and whistles from the trains and the conductors gave the signal to move forward.

The first leg of their journey was painted by the already-seen and somewhat familiar hills of the coastal Area, Vera had already painted these green bumps and far as near dots could be made out as villages and farmhouses. After some minutes of these views, some bigger things could be noticed during a right turn. The gigantic coastal mountains showed themselves, with clouds gathering themselves by the central height and forests climbing themselves up to the top of the smaller mountains while giving way to snow-covered caps on the bigger ones. These had caught all the coastal rains and made a rare ecological phenomenon possible, temperate cloud [rain-] forests. Very could see gaps in these mountains, at least the first layer of them, rivers passed through. Those rivers were big and wide but not that wild, they were almost behaved, at least if rivers could do that.

Moving through these mountains one could notice that the tracks moved at first by the river and roads towns and forests could be seen. Then the train entered a tunnel and for a second darkness ensued until the cabin lights were lit. This situation lasted an astounding three minutes even though the train was fairly fast for something that was not a bullet one. When the train left the tunnel again it was as if a portal spits the train out into another country entirely. Now grasses dominated the slightly red grounds. There were still many bumps that decorated the landscape, but more noticeably the mesas and buttes marked the Land with their different geological make-up. The rivers were slightly less well-behaved, but still nothing like the Nora River. The architecture changed also dramatically, where there were the already known buildings made from big bricks and plaster like stable but beautiful bunkers, this part of the nation had only had double-layer houses with vastly more wood being visible and being a canvas for white paint and basis for black roof tiles. The temperatures also were increasing in this part of the nation and a cooling system was started to make the transition more subtle.

At last, the train stopped in the historical tableland city of Kohlbrunn. The train station was similar to the rest of the surrounding buildings, very light and breathable. Marble checkered floors acted as cooling and the light walls with big windows made looking to the outside possible. There the Elyreians were greeted by their guides in common so that any of the translators could give more translations. The main guide was a middle-aged man who wore the latest fashion that Stollbergers preferred. High-rise trousers in a darker brown with a long and thin coat made from breathable materials in a cream colour contrasted with the colourful cravat and yellow cylindrical hat [which was a regional speciality]. Hats in particular seemed to hold themselves in the normal fashion of the people and traditional hats seemed to mark the patriotism of the people. A program was laid out for the visitors by the guide for the day.

At first, there would be an introductory city tour with a couple of buses that stood ready in the parking lot of the train station. This would take roughly an hour and a half after which there would be lunch in a restaurant. Then a concert by the Kohlbrunn Grand Ducal Orchestre and Stollberger Military Choir "Rudolph von Ackermann" would be performed in the main music hall of Kohlbrunn. It was organized to extend an already happening spectacle for a day more so that the guests could enjoy it guilt-free and add some more things to show most facades of the inland could be added. Then an hour of free time was added and after that, a tour of the local university and visiting to the opera hall for the piece "Dree Dragödien in de Höhl" [Three Tragedies of the Cave] was the last plan. Dinner would be served on the train. This was a packed day that any artist or scientist could use for inspiration in their future work.

"When will the troops arrive for boarding?" "It will be an hour, prepare the transport and aid ships." "They are already prepared, we only have to wait then."

It was not long until the sun started to leave the sky and paint the sky a rose colour. The transport for the other troop halves to the already present brigades in Elyreia arrived to report for duty. With them a list of all members, something which was already requested and would be provided to the House of Niralyon. Along with them was a group of interested surveyors who wanted to have a look at the damage and a couple of CPUs that would accompany the troops for their main purpose. After darkness spread and the lamps lit the port of Slyrtum the last troops were loaded a convoy began to move. Hopefully, one that could actively help in the recovery of ground and recapture of Torhed lands.

The convoy would take the last route that was already used and would head for Kyrasberg again with the same care that the last time warranted. Torhed would never suspect a thing, hopefully at least. Some more anti-air pieces and weapons as well as artillery were shipped across as well, to support the already heavily supporting pieces at work.

At this rate, I'll clinch 1st in two more consecutive wins :D

*If I lose one, then it might take three or four.

Hello there, Masonton, Caspariate, Maced Flizoy Islands!

Welcome to the Pacific! There are a lot of ways to enjoy NationStates, and the Pacific caters to all of them. To get started in the Pacific, it's important that you complete the below steps to fully enjoy your experience here in the Pacific and the New Pacific Order as either a new NationStates player, newcomer to the Pacific, or as a returning NationStates player.

  • First things first, join the World Assembly! It's like the United Nations but in NationStates. If you're confused on how to join the World Assembly, this guide should be able to help you out.

    New Pacific Order
    -

What is the World Assembly and why should I join it?

The World Assembly, often abbreviated as "WA", is the NationStates equivalent of the real-world United Nations.

    • Vote on game-wide legislation: World Assembly member nations are able to vote on resolutions that reach the floor of the General Assembly and Security Council, thus allowing you to participate in determining game-wide legislation.

    • Endorse other nations: WA nations may endorse (similar to social media "likes") other nations in the same region as them.

    • Write WA resolutions: WA nations with 2 (two) or more endorsements may submit WA resolutions of their own for the entire game to vote on.

    • Bolster the strength of your region: The more endorsements our delegate, East Durthang, has, the larger the weighted delegate vote in the World Assembly is, granting us more influence over international WA affairs. Furthermore, the more endorsements our leadership holds, the more difficult it is for hostile forces to seek to invade or disrupt the stability of our home.

    • Become a Pacifican Vanguard: Nations who endorse our delegate receive the title Pacifican Vanguard, are featured on this list, and are eligible for exclusive rewards, such as custom nation banners.

Joining the World Assembly is the easiest step you can take in order to participate more in NationStates!

How do I join the World Assembly?

Follow the following five simple steps to get started in the World Assembly. If you need help, click on the spoiler sections to reveal screenshots of each step.

    -
    • Please note that the game only allows you to have one nation as a World Assembly member at any given time! NationStates moderation may remove and/or ban your nations from the World Assembly and/or the game for violating this rule.
    • If, for roleplaying reasons, you do not wish to join the World Assembly make a separate nation to use as your World Assembly nation.

    Benefits of Becoming a Citizen

    • This will present the opportunity to choose one or more specializations in the region's government and gain access to more engaging aspects of the region and what it has to offer.

    • You will gain access to the internal proceedings of the New Pacific Order and membership in the Body Republic, which allows you to propose changes or new ideas that may aid in the regional direction in the future.

    • Joining the forum leads to the path to the forumside roleplay community as well as the gameside roleplay community.

    What is Discord?

Having probably heard about New Pacific Order's Discord server, either from your fellow Pacificans or from simply reading the regional page or dispatches, you might be wondering how to join it. Or not, if you are already a proficient Discord user, simply skip every step until the one where the server link is posted.

Now, for those unaware, LinkDiscord is a communication app available in browser, PC app or mobile format that allows its users to form large organized communities. These communities are called servers, in most cases, and each one has its own specific organization and set of rules and moderators. The intent of this dispatch is to provide an initial introduction to how to function with Discord and, more particularly, the NPO's server.

    Benefits of Joining Discord

    • The ability to become fully integrated with all opportunities available in The Pacific and make the most out of your citizenship is attained through joining the most active aspect of the region.

    • A chance to help determine the regional direction for the World Assembly votes is also available if you so wish to help dictate our decision for specific proposals, including your own.

    • Discord gives you an easier route to meeting the extant regional leadership, discussing regional affairs, and is necessary for people who aspire to become involved in our government.

    • Inclusion in the full regional experience and introduction to the wider community of the New Pacific Order is available through Discord membership.

    Getting Started with Discord

The first step would be to make an account in Discord itself. While not necessary to utilize server it is usually recommended due to ease of reusability and practicality. An account is absolutely free and simply unlocks a lot of features that a guest user might not have. Simply go to Linkhttps://discord.com and register an account, preferably with a username that won't breach any NPO rules, and this step should be done. You'll inevitably be prompted to confirm your email, so simply check your inbox.

With your account registered you now have a few options. You can choose to do one of them, or even all of them. You can open Discord on your browser, download and install the application or download the mobile app. Any of them will work for the purposes of this tutorial, though the PC app is more flexible in terms of functionality (use of one platform does not exclude the use of others).

LinkClick here to join the NPO Discord server. It is as simple as that after every previous step has been accomplished. Click it and after a prompt to join the server you will be in. Now comes the more specific part.

Upon joining the server, if you have already applied for citizenship and been accepted (if not, check this dispatch for a guide on how to do it) Linkpost here to request that your account be added to private channels.

If you have any more questions pertaining to the use of Discord itself, feel free to ask the people within the server for help. We hope your experience within the community is fun and fruitful.

I've ended today with four failed drafts.

Maybe I'll superglue them together tomorrow morning.

Or maybe I won't write anything-
That'd be easy.

The reading would happen just an hour or two too early for me to attend.
