The Kingdom of Mythora is a huge, safe nation, notable for its multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, cynical population of 676 million Mythorans are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The enormous, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eclipsia. The average income tax rate is 74.5%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Mythoran economy, worth 54.7 trillion Oras a year, is quite specialized and led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 80,931 Oras, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

One tree's worth of paperwork accompanies each imported log of timber, protestors are soaking piles of Oras in blood to make a point about government incomes, children grow up long before the paperwork for their lemonade stands can be sorted out, and Air Mythora is rumored to receive more government funding than the Mythoran Air Force. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Mythora's national animal is the Jakkal, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Mythora is ranked 58,446th in the world and 1,238th in the South Pacific for Most Scientifically Advanced, scoring 128.66 on the Kurzweil Singularity Index.
