Liánbāng yìhuì (Federal Diet)

Fujishina is a federal, parliamentary, representative democratic republic. Federal legislative power is vested in the parliament consisting of the Liánbāng yìhuì (Federal Diet) and Liánbāng wěiyuánhuì (Federal Council), which together form the legislative body. There are 100 Ministers in each Chamber.

The Liánbāng yìhuì is elected through direct elections using the mixed-member proportional representation system. The members of the Liánbāng wěiyuánhuì represent and are appointed by the governments of the five incorporated states.

The Fujishina political system operates under a framework laid out in the 2008 constitution known as the Jīběnfǎ (Basic Law). Amendments generally require a two-thirds majority of both the Liánbāng yìhuì and the Liánbāng wěiyuánhuì; the fundamental principles of the constitution, as expressed in the articles guaranteeing human dignity, the separation of powers, the federal structure, and the rule of law, are valid in perpetuity.

The five states Zhaozhou, Jinjing, Quhai, Tanghua and Baocheng elect their own local government that is responsible for frontline public services including emergency services and more

The president, is the head of state and invested primarily with representative responsibilities and powers. He is elected by the general public of Fujishina by the Alternate Voting Electoral System. The head of government is the Prime Minister, who is also elected by the General Public by the Alternative Voting Electoral System. The President is elected for a single term of ten years, whereas the Prime Minister serves a single term of five years.

The following political parties have Ministers and delegates in both the Liánbāng yìhuì and Liánbāng wěiyuánhuì...

* Gònghédǎng (Republican Party)
* Jīdūjiào bǎoshǒu dǎng (Christian Conservative Party)
* Guómíndǎng (Nationalist Party)
* Mínzhǔdǎng (Democratic Party)
* Mínzhǔ shèhuìdǎng (Democratic Socialist Party)

Welcome to the Pacific, the oldest region on NationStates and home of the New Pacific Order for the past 20 years. NationStates can be overwhelming when you first begin (or if you're just coming back!), with a lot of potential ways to play the game and have fun. However, we are more than happy to help you with any queries you might have regarding NationStates and the Pacific. To get started, make sure to read the below list.

  • First things first, join the World Assembly! It's like the United Nations but in NationStates. If you're confused on how to join the World Assembly, this guide should be able to help you out.

  • Once you've joined the World Assembly, you can endorse any nation that is also in the World Assembly. It is extremely important for the security of the region that you make sure to endorse our World Assembly Delegate East Durthang.

  • Now that you've endorsed our World Assembly Delegate, you can join our forums and then apply for citizenship in the New Pacific Order. At most, the process will take a few days, and then after that - you're officially a citizen of the New Pacific Order.

  • The last thing that you need to do to get started is to join our Discord server. It allows you to communicate with all the members of the New Pacific Order, stretching across 3 main branches and other games as well. Since you're a citizen, you'll also get access to the special citizens-only channel too.

Once you've checked everything off the list, you're free to enjoy your time in NationStates as a part of the wider New Pacific Order community. If you want to help out with what we do around here, you can consider Getting Involved - but it is not necessary for having a great time here in the Pacific. If you're not new to NationStates but new to the Pacific, do make sure to still follow the instructions; it helps out a ton!

If you're not new to NationStates but new to the Pacific, do make sure to still follow the instructions; it helps out a ton!

    BONUS

  • If you fancy yourself as a roleplayer, it's important that you make sure to read the RMB Roleplay Guidebook as it allows you to get an understanding of the basics of how roleplay is conducted in the Pacific. If you don't like the type of roleplay presented, you might want to consider joining the other Pacifican Roleplay Groups.

We hope you have a great time here in the Pacific!
