I think the key is that Nationstates is a vastly different animal than it was it 2003. Even Max didn't anticipate it growing like it did; it was a promotional vehicle for "Jennifer Government."
In that way, I think TSP has kept a lot of its identity -- fun, welcoming, not too serious -- but we've also had longer periods now where people stay involved rather than moving to a UCR. This is probably waxes and wanes with all GCRs, but certainly having active people on the RMB helps get people to stay. And, obviously people like 
Curlyhoward and 
Alice Parker have long been active in the region, so there is some continuity :)

I have served as a Local Councillor four times. That's more than the rest of the pool combined.

In this emergency election, you need somebody you know you can trust and you need them fast. Only a month ago, it was me being the sole line of defense on the rmb against spammers and trolls after the departures of Melix and Auph. I've proven time and time again I have what it takes to wield the shield.
