The South PacificBoard

LC stands for “Local Councillor”. It is a role that is elected every 4 months (or if one of the current LC’s leave) and is responsible for moderating the RMB and keeping the gameside of The South Pacific engaged. LC’s create polls, answer questions and make sure that everybody is following the rules in the RMB.

I have many traits that will make me perfect for the role of LC:

• I am an avid RMB member who is always looking to stay engaged with what’s currently going on. In general im a rather friendly person who enjoys greeting and helping the newer nations.

• I’m always taking part in events that are taking place in the RMB, meaning I’m very active in the community. I’m taking part in the International ice hockey federation and the TSP Winter Olympics.

• On top of that I’m not afraid to do my part in bettering the RMB as I released two different maps to try and help better the RP scene in TSP which can be seen in my factbooks.

• I’m able to better help the newer nations in the RMB as I’m one of the younger nations running for LC, meaning that I have a good understanding of what the newer nations are going through in NationStates.

• I have previous moderation experience from a discord server that has almost 50,000 members. I primarily had to answer questions from the new members and also occasionally had to check on the channels to make sure everybody was following the rules.

For rule 5, I believe an amendment should be made to make it so that double posts are not allowed UNLESS 20 minutes have passed without another message on the RMB.

Rule 13 on the other hand I believe should stay the same. It doesn’t hurt anyone to say just a bit more than just “Hi.” and in general promoting more thoughtful posts will lead to more discussion.

One rule that isn’t talked about as much as the other two is rule 4. I love a good RP but sometimes they do get very long and not much is done about it. I plan to enforce this rule more heavily as personally I see no harm in just heading over to Knowhere or Psomwhere over the Rainbow for RP’s. Short ones are fine but the really long ones need to be moved.

I want to be an LC because the RMB recently hasn’t been the best of places to just talk and chill. Long winded RP posts, spammy nations and new nations coming in who have questions they want answering are all reasons I want to become an LC. More importantly though, I want to be an LC just because I think I’ll be good at it. My campaign is here, it says exactly why I’d make a good LC and it’s these abilities that make me want to become an LC. I want to make a difference and this is the first step.

Well personally I wasn’t aware that people used formside without using gameside as surely you had to get into gameside first before learning about the forums. Due to this, those who only participate on the forums must have a reason that they abandoned gameside in the first place so I’d first have to figure out what that is. If I had to guess, I’d say that the RP is much more involved in the forum and I have already attempted to make improvements in that area by creating two RP maps which I hoped for people to use. If I could push those further I could get more forumside members back into gameside. Although if they don’t want to join gameside then there is really no point trying, let people reside where they want to reside.

Fools day: is just the april fools, but is a national holiday.

Andrendia's day: the day of the foundation of The Axolotl Empire Of Andrendia, is on november 30th.

Azaleo's apparition: is the day where Azaleo was discovered by Franco Oloto, on this day Azaleo appears and travels to Andreopolis, and there he blesses all of Andrendia, is on september 26th.

Azaleo's gifts: since Christmas is not celebrated in Andrendia, Azaleo gave his faithful this holiday, also on December 25th.
On this holiday Azaleo appears and brings the desired gifts to all the inhabitants of Andrendia.

Memes Festival: is just a festival for the memes, in this day everyone create memes and have fun. Is on april 20th(haha 420).

Egg Sunday: is just easter but with no christian things, just eggs. Is on the same day as easter.
