Homophobia, sexist gender roles, the family institution, marriage and not allowing divorce, justifying domestic abuse, and being really sensitive about alcohol, wearing no clothes, sexual relations and activities, and using certain "curse" words are some of the things religions do to manipulate people.

Being secular is a religion in itself. Older religions accepted all. There were homosexual, transgender gods, instances of men giving birth and all around acceptance. There was a saying which roughly translated means “what seems unnatural is also natural”.
But of course, three mainstream religions had to come and unleash hell on earth and push it to dark ages.
I admire communism but it's too idyllic to work. I'm part of the Russians who initially embarked on this expedition. First state USSR. And they did not support homosexuals. Cuba is communist and they do not support homosexuals. It is odd how you hate Putin but he is trying to sustain socialism.

Some religions accept LGBT because more people use religion than people who don't. In other words, there's more people into religions than people who are not into a religion.

The USSR was against LGBT because most people still had homophobic beliefs they and everyone around them were raised by. Those were the standards at the time, people were much more brainwashed and were much closer to old country. There was more conservative pressure in the times of the USSR than there is today. The same with Cuba. Cuba is very catholic and a lot of people comply and support catholic norms, so that's the main root of homophobia in cuba.
Putin is not trying to sustain socialism. Putin is a capitalist. He supports tsar. He wants to re create the oppressive Russian Empire, and not the socialist USSR.
Putin grew up in socialism and tries to maintain the values. Just stop talking do not argue with the russians who developed its first state.

Putin grew up in a socialist state but he didn't choose that. He didn't choose to be born in the USSR. He didn't choose for the Bolsheviks to form the USSR, hence Putin does not support the Bolsheviks. Putin claimed to support the USSR at the time so he can get an occupation in the KGB, so they can give him more money.
Putin believed that the USSR was decaying the old values of Russia (which is true, and that's a good thing - because the USSR was socialist for all, the Russian Empire was Russian slavic nationalist that tortured and oppressed non slavs), so Putin secretly wanted to restore the old russian empire, and was influenced by the tsar dictator.
The Russian Empire is very different than the USSR. Putin supports the old oppressive empire, and not the modernized communist USSR.
If you know Putin, why did he create oligarchs in the first place? If he wanted USSR part 2, why give specific industries to specific people and actually promote capitalism by allowing US firms in the country? Of course it came back to bite him but not by much since economy recovered but why did he allow Tsar to have state funeral and why give prominence to Orthodox Church. It is not so simple. He doesn’t want to expand but he doesn’t want to create USSR, which will then create Gorbachev part 2, most hated man in Russia.
