Today was the day. The day where the fragile political balance in the Kingdom would be pushed across the thin line. Today, a new war would begin. Today, the fates of politicians at every level of government change forever. King Ullivieri prepared himself to rip open the very recently stitched wounds. Ullivieri had informed the Palace Radio to prepare for a speech to be made. The media had caught word of course. They believed that the King would be issuing a condemnation of the Cameot regimes actions. But it would be much different than that. 30 minutes before the broadcast, the Royal Palace made a on the spot announcement. This took Prime Minister Leone by suprise, and he angerly called the Royal Palace, demanding to know the nature of the broadcast. He was denied, and was promptly hung up on by the King's staff. Soon, it was time for the broadcast.

The King took his place on the podium in front of the Palace entrance. The media were gathered. Ready to hear the speech. "My fellow Vapians, Loyal citizens of the Kingdom. I am here to speak to you directly. Over the course of the previous few days, the government has debated on how to proceed with the situation involving our kidnapped citizens. Not legally arrested, but kidnapped. Over the last several hours, it has become clear that our government intends not to take decisive actions in order to recover our citizens, but rather, to appease these ruthless aggressors. To diplomatically treat the Moralist regime, is to acknowledge their legitimacy, despite their human rights abuses, restriction of our faith, and their tinpot dictatorship that is propped up by a thread. It is my belief, it is the Crown's belief, that the elected government is no longer acting in the best interests of our citizens, and is astonished at the lack of use of our vast resources. Here and Now, The Crown, and with it, the powers vested in it by the Senate, The People of Vapia, and God, invoke the rights of the position of King, to announce to the Empire, but most importantly, Cameot, that the Empire will no longer tolerate your terroristic like actions. As of this moment, the Vapian Empire declares WAR upon Moralist Cameot. Together, we will unite, and recover what is rightfully ours. May God bless us all."

The speech was finished, and the people of Vapia, the media, and the government, were astonished.

While the Pinguioris First Party celebrates their decisive actions, nearly everyone else in Congress shared a more disappointed atitude towards the Vapian king. "Today, Western Vapia did declare war on Cameot. And there are those who say it was justified. I say not. The rightfully elected government of Western Vapia did not want war with Cameot, and instead attempted to negotiate with them. And while negotiations with Cameot do not sound promising at the moment, declaring war on a nation for having an ill leader is not the way to go about it. Rather, one would find, that some part of the government, not wholly under his control, may find a way to declare him unfit, and peacefully put up a replacement, to serve the remainder of his term. Such a 'soft coup' as this is known, would be an excellent way to help Cameot's government come to its senses, and then we may find recourse. Resulting to war immediately, without attempting anything else, without the legitimate and rightful government of Western Vapia, most likely without the support of most Vapians, the King sets himself up as Caesar. Someone who knows better than anyone else in the country, as if he had a right to rule alone, displacing all other appropriate government bodies. Such an act is like that of a coup; he has ousted those who rightfully hold power as the people have placed them. For this reason, we must condemn the abhorrent actions of this 'King' Ullivieri, bringing instability and war upon our world. For the sake of a handful of people, he would kill many more. We will support the democratic government and their decision of determination to see this peacefully ended. We will not support this pretended benevolent dictator." - President Jacob Lamais.
