At the time of the Presidential declaration of war, the Purple Army had a standing army of 100,000. Composed of 20 divisions of 5,000 men, with additional manpower for armored support, the Purple Army was significantly bigger than the Tierdzan Republican Army, and was capable of expanding to upwards of 100 divisions. Factories were being given orders to begin ramping up production and many men were beginning to volunteer, ready to set off on an adventure. Before any of this could take place however, the war at sea must be one. This is something Gorkassk also had a significant advantage with, having 27 ships to the 16 Tierdza had. Once the Purple Navy secured the waters around Tierdza, the ground forces would pour into Tierdza, and strike at the heart of the resistance.

When the time was right, 22 of the 27 ships set out for Tierdzan waters.

Presidential Address and Mobilization

"My fellow Tierdzans, as we know by now, the nation which claims dominion over not only our land, but our lives, has declared a state of war against us. We can not allow our hearts to retreat in the face of the enemy. I have asked the Senate to approve immediate legislation to declare war onGorkassk, which was immediately approved. The Tierdzan Republican Army was not in fighting shape at this time. The force was mostly engaged in keeping peace in areas of political violence. With only 32,000 total personnel, composing of 8 divisions of 4,000 men, the army was dwarfed by Gorkassk in both the size of the force and the equipment they had. Tierdza at the fall of Gorkassk, had secured multiple arsenals held in their territory, but had not been able to modernize in the 6 years since their independence. Alongside this, the Navy was made of up only 16 ships, seized by Tierdzan militia in the fall of Puczovska. While the Armed Forces as a whole has maintained their equipment, modernization was outside of their ability. When Gorkassk came, they would be fighting an outmatched battle. Their only source of outside support came with a donation of 26 light tanks from the Kingdom of Vapia. Although outdated as well, they would provide infantry support of used properly.
