The Pieces Come Together

The Otykenese scientist captured at the hanger raid in Brennus provided some valuable information on the Conduit; it wasn't particularly challenging to get him to spill the information they needed; the essential part was a warning that the contents of the enigma conduit would be destroyed if they tried to use force: even precision methods like lasers would cause microscopic cubic nitrogen crystals kept inside microscopic vessels in the device would detonate. Dispelling any plans to force it open, the ETs ensured no 'unworthy' civilization would learn secrets they weren't ready for.

The devices puzzles were challenging to translate and highly acoustic. Each tactile progression through the puzzle boxes took the solver into the very latest and esoteric scientific discoveries and knowledge of the sciences; it was a lock that required intense secrets to solve and evidently couldn't be solved by force; it was brilliantly crafted of extraterrestrial alloys and engraved by the most precise of lasers with an expansive array of moving components and interacting locks solving it was like a journey through science itself.

There were some hitches; the Brennians didn't have the Rosetta for translation of the codes, and the puzzle creators expected anyone to have solved the previous ones and have all their clues assembled. Still, the Brennians did have various charts kept in the hangar and were able to generate a limited working model. Still, as the years passed and the puzzle collected dust in multiple states of being solved, they had recovered an ace. A real live Extraterrestrial that they had raised from an egg, still just a calf at the moment, but the ET, now aged five, was talking quite a lot for a five-year-old as the language part of her brain, according to scans, was of considerably sized, the brain was also dual hemisphere much like terrestrial creatures of similar type. However, that's like comparing apes to humans, of course, some notable differences. ET/B-1, or Reine as they called her, would be no cryptographic master at the time, but intuitively provided some insights into how to solve the puzzle box intuitively knowing some parts of the language perhaps encoded into her genetic memory, recordings of her talking to herself also provided good sampling for AI-backed language models to get passed a few steps, particularly on things star charts wouldn't reference like biological puzzles.

Interest in the Puzzle box was piqued when several new components had been solved. It is expected to be completed very soon and the items inside and the next step in the journey will be unlocked fully. Though it is expected Otyken will be watching their movements closely enough to cause interference once the quest begins.

The Hanger Treasures
As for the other items, they had uncovered the Diadem of Epochal Command, which was paired to the Microcosmic Constructor Vessel; it was a crown that read brain waves as far as they could tell and could control micro machines that lived in the Constructor Vessel, various groups debated its purpose, but it was clear that it was a tool used for working on aircraft in the hanger. So they decided to try it out in an old run-down jet. A volunteer who was highly familiar with the design of that aircraft wore the crown and got to work, a microscopic swarm of robotics clinging to the jet and entering into its airframe, blasting away rust, reinforcing components, and replacing them from a pile that was in the aircraft hanger on the black site. It was scrubbed clean and any residue purged, old bolts refreshed, and electronics repaired; after several hours, this 30-year-old aircraft looked like it had just come off the production line, and the bots returned to their vessel having taken some of the old wiring as an offering to repair themselves after their work was completed. Some of the bots had been taken and examined by microscope, but they were pretty uncooperative, always trying to return to the constructor's vessel.

Another device was an active astrolabe; it was palm-sized and worked as a necklace; the device was constantly shifting and drew the topology of Kalrania and would direct people to where they needed to be; it was an alien navigational device of unprecedented ability. It was quickly millions of years old and of incalculable value, constructed primarily of gold utility fog. In the hangar itself, they had also found four stasis pods they could put people in for extended periods, practically a one-way time travel to the future.

Unidentified Flying Object: H-20B
Following almost half a decade of antediluvian aviation equipment under examination the H-20 recieved it's new successor, captured by Brennian satellites during a pass over they had intentionally moved the plane outside while tracking the satellite to be sure they got a clear shot of it.

Estimates in fuel efficiency place it's range somewhere at 12,000-kilometre though it's combat radius is likely considerably lower and a recent report indicated it created a sonic boom though it's primarily subsonic so this may be a specific test platform. The new model has tripled the payload at a solid 30 tons of munitions. It's stealth profile has also been dramatically increased with a new skin and some design choices to minimize it's radar cross section. Though this is a notable strategic problem it was a great relief that they weren't cloning the captured saucer and likely cannot do anything beyond take some design suggestions.

The re-vitalization of Imperial industry following the general end of the National Stagnation saw life return to countless industrial sites across the Empire’s territories. Where once the factories of a time long passed stood still and silent, covered in mosses and vines and used as third places by myriad youth, now agents of the state returned to reclaim their property. This was true in Ardhalis, this was true in Ivery, this was true in Mansk, and this would be true in Darjatt.

The capital and largest city in the Archduchy of Vorov, it was also one of the Empire’s more important port cities - home to an Imperial Navy base, an industrial logistics center, and a sizable section of pre-Stagnation factory blocks. By economic standards alone, it was an important city to the Empire - even if it paled in comparison to Mansk or any of the Seven Cities.

    And yet.

The National Stagnation had been a crisis which lasted many decades. A crisis which saw the recession of national industry in territories outside of the Seven Cities and Mansk, a crisis which saw local cultural festivals emboldened and embraced as the smog-choked air returned to being clear.

The National Stagnation had harmed the Seven Cities, but it had healed much of the Southern Territories.

In Darjatt, the decades during the National Stagnation had led to a revitalization of many local cultural celebrations - notable among these being the Crab Carnival. Unique to Vorov, the Crab Carnival celebrated the beginning of the Solingarchi Snow Crab’s annual breeding season - migrating into the bay and up the Kymi River, where their eggs are harvested en masse. It was a celebration that saw massive popularity during the National Stagnation as industrial pollution and runoff into the Kymi River ceased and the local ecology repaired itself.

It’s a celebration which now sees itself threatened as the Empire revitalizes and repairs itself.

Protests have broken out in Darjatt in recent times, largely located near the Industrial Sector and the Darjatt International Port - thousands of individuals making their opinions and dissension towards the Crown known. While said protests have remained largely ‘peaceful’ and little violence has taken place, it’s been a very strained peace. The Crown’s position towards these protests is very staunchly opposed - first for its desire to revitalize its state, and second for the disregard towards those of its subjects who disagree with its mandates. Yet there’s little that it could do to end the protests as it currently stands - the protests themselves are peaceful, if noisy, and ending them puts the Crown in bad optics internationally.

Yet to the Crown, the Darjatt Protests must end. The revitalization of the city is actively being hampered in such a way that can’t be naturally ended, and it’s dragging the rest of the Empire down with it.

To the Crown, the protests must end - there just has to be a reason to end them…

    =====(Secret…)=====

Naturally, the first step to end all problems was not to talk them through or to ignore them. While those sometimes work, they’re not the best for this particular situation. No, rather than talking them through or ignoring them, the first step would be to stage mass violence.

Because that’s never caused any problems, ever.

Posing an attack on the Crown and its property would give it reason to crack down harshly on the protests, to quell and disperse them in cruel manner. Yet to openly do so would invite foreign disdain and likely condemnation, and the Crown still wanted to maintain its position as a relatively perceived ‘better actor’.

The protestors were upset about the re-ignition of the factories and ports in Darjatt, so why not blow one up?

A brief, discreet chain of communication would occur in the highest echelons of Imperial government - the IDA and the High Court talking back and forth if just for a moment. Then, hidden in the expenses of operations and the already-present movement of police to Darjatt, a small group of men and a number of chemical explosives would disappear - re-allocated to a new task.

Planting a bomb in an abandoned factory and blowing it up.

The bomb had to be big. Not big enough to cause damage to the test of the city, but big enough to warrant reconstruction and replacement of the immediately-surrounding industrial area and big enough to cause national and somewhat international concern. And yet at the same time, the bomb couldn’t be so big or of a distinct design as to be recognized as the Crown’s own - it would immediately give them away.

More aptly, then, they were moving large amounts of volatile material into the factory, which would turn it into a “coincidental” bomb.

Under the guise of being construction vehicles, and shielded by the influx of IDA Officers from elsewhere in the country, several unmarked white vans and their decoys would travel to that abandoned factory in Darjatt, setting the pieces for the next day’s board.

    =====

An explosion would rock the industrial zone of Darjatt, shattering windows several blocks away and causing tremors as well as an overpressure effect that could be felt across the city. From the port area, a large smoke cloud rose, towering high above the crowds of either dead or panicked protestors.

Appearing immediately on scene were officers of the Imperial Domestic Authority, all in full riot and hazard kit and supported by members of the Imperial Landsknechte on the scene. Even a number of armored walkers were on the scene - all to say, the response was immediate.

[”Tear Gas and Lethal Shots authorized by Domestic Authority. Initiate Police Action. Surround and detain all illegal rioters.”]

The lines of IDA Officers and Imperial Landsknechte would begin pushing forward, establishing a perimeter and then driving towards the water - effectively encircling the rioters. Someone would throw a brick into the lines, someone would throw an incendiary cocktail - and shots would be fired. It’s unknown how many died in those initial shots nor how many were injured, but the panic of the riotous crowd immediately following would do it little good.

In just a few minutes, the crowd was entirely encircled - ordered to stand down or face death at the warrant of the Crown.

The Crown had gotten what it wanted - it had made a cake and now it would set to eat said cake.

    Prolekult

The request for summons by the Adruvrëya Peasantry would go unnoticed - or ignored - for a long while by the Imperial Crown. Either it had gotten lost in the lines of communication further down, or it had been received and simply pushed off to the side in lieu of more ‘lucrative’ ideas.

Yet long months after the summons had been sent, a response - however short it was - would be sent back down by the Imperial Crown. Their summons had been accepted, their proposals would be looked at and considered.

It was a way for the Crown to essentially say “we’ll look at this and then get back to you whenever we please, if we even do at all, you peasants,” without outright saying such.

Initially, the Crown would truly try to ignore the proposals and requests of those Adruvrëya Peasants. There was nothing of worth in their requests except for a delegation of power downwards and a dissolution of the Lower Estates. Why should that happen, either in the way they proposed or at all?

Yet the more they tried to harp on the ideas, the more they came to twist it around - twisting and twisting until at last, they had a very distorted version of the proposal which was both an insult to the peasantry and legitimately irrelevant to politics at large.

A subsequent series of summons would be sent back downwards as the Crown sought to invite those very same peasants to a new proceeding - as the Crown invited them to be insulted in person, with dignity.

It would be in these proceedings that the Crown would announce the “reform of the Estate System” - in which a new system of Workers’ Representatives would be created. Existing alongside the Estates themselves, the Workers’ Representatives would act as “unions” of the land workers themselves, wherin a forum for discussion and economic activity could take place. These Workers’ Representatives would have no actual power, however - they would be given a codified and ensured “Right to Noble Petition” which they could use to make requests and demands of their local Estates, but they would have no authority to make any true decisions on their own nor influence politics in any meaningful way.

They wanted land reform? They could have it on paper, but not in practice - they wanted a cake, they could have an old moldy one.

    Rykensvik

The proposal of diplomacy from Rykensvik would be looked at and considered by the Imperial Crown, and then accepted in very short order. While there were very little terms initially proposed, aside from some market interactions, the Solingarchi Empire would go ahead and lay some baseline terms as a counteroffer.

    - Eased VISA Travel between Solingarch and Rykensvik
    - Eased and encouraged trade between Solingarchi and Rykensvik Markets
    - Allocated space in the Ivery Development Zone for Rykensvik participation

These terms would be sent forth from the Imperial Crown to the Rykensvik Office of Foreign Affairs, to be enacted effective immediately and renewing on 20-year terms (first in 2030) should they accept.

    Otyken

The request from Otyken for the expansion of their respective Iverian Development Zone would be considered by both the Imperial Crown and the Iverian Government, looked over in conjunction with one-another in short order.

There was nothing wrong with this proposal. It brought their respective zone into agreement with that of theirs in Kanasye’ak, and then pushed it further - it was a good demonstration of what some of the Continental Technate’s policies could bring, and how the Empire could take and adopt them as it saw fit and beneficial for itself.

The request for expansion and development would be accepted in short form, with resources allocated for such effective immediately.

The Ivery Conference, hosted in the city of the same name, was altogether fairly productive. Discussion on the topic of a Northern Alliance and a Northern Union would have its hiccups, but overall would go fairly smoothly and easily.

The Conference would end after about a week, with delegations hosted for a second week in top-tier hotels in the city before being dismissed.

From the Conference, a draft for a proper “Northern Alliance” Charter would be made - titled the Ivery Charter as a very creative name. This charter, while not yet formalized or signed, would outline a number of terms and conditions for the Alliance at large.

A copy of the Ivery Charter would be sent to each nation which had shown up at the Ivery Conference, to be signed if agreeable or disregarded if not.

RP: Northern Union
Though largely inactive in geopolitics, the Imperium has signed on to the new Northern Union, potentially a sign of a renewed interest in international activity.

Sodorhvtisi'i Ministry of Defence Strategic command, Kristreyri

"Of course ma'am, but you have to understand we can't just go in. There are rules, and we're already tied down. I know the reach initiative is working, but as of yet such a location would be mostly isolated. I think..."

"I don't want problems I want solutions. We're increasing our capacity yearly, and those lands would allow us a valuable asset in anchoring our position in the Eastern Seas. A way to cross the oceans and enter the continent without needing to head too far off course. Get me more information, and get a frigate out there to make some friends. With the recent actions by the Ambehvtisi'i, it makes sense to push for alternative arrangements."

In the wake of this mostly quiet meeting, Frigate VSA Silvaria would be deployed to the seas, passing between Ambehvtisi'i and Afihvtisi'i waters on the way to the The Ansalonian States coast, in order to secure increasing Sodorhvtisi'i influence should the Ambehvtisi'i press for Sodor to move facilities while still maintaining large scale operating capacity in the area.

In the meantime, an official complaint would be filed both in Baltocarpathia and Amberleaf, citing cultural connections and cooperation with the Estonian people and government, the large costs in the establishment of the facility, the Sodorhvtisi'i participation in the liberation of Estonia and Baltocarpathia from the oppression of the former government and the economic benefits provided by the facility as to reasons why Sodor should not be forced to exit such a facility based on a clause deployed years after establishment. As a compromise, Baltocarpathian observers would be welcome to visit the facilities periodically unwarned.

Neuse wrote:RP: Contact
Standing on the bow of the skiff, the Captain of the Pamlico, James Elloree, shouted to the Sodorhvtisi’i: “I am James Elloree, Captain of the sloop Pamlico. We are here on the order of the Governor of Albermarle to respond to your wreck. [pause] Is your crew safe? Are you in need of assistance?”

Meanwhile onboard the sloop Bogue, the lookout spotted on the horizon the VSA Viipatsira and its accompanying squadron of modern destroyers and frigates. At the sight of such a force descending upon them, the Bogue made out a warning to the commander of the force, Commodore Arthur Wheeling, informing him of their situation. Wheeling, assessing his position, found that his second-in-command was aboard the skiff to make contact with the stricken Lahe and a much superior force of unknown nation and intent rapidly descending upon his position. Quickly, he boarded a skiff and transferred himself and his command from the Coree to the Pamlico. He then ordered the Coree and Bogue to depart south out of immediate danger from the oncoming flotilla. Now aboard the Pamlico, he ordered the anchor be lifted and the ship move to face the oncoming flotilla head-on but not leave the Mouth of the Mattamuskeet Sound. Now facing the oncoming ships, he prepared to make contact – however that might occur.

RP: Trolling

The Neushvtisi'i ships, located by the Viipatsira only when they were actually visible due to the lack of radar signature the ships emitted, were quite a sight to the modern amphibious force. After all, it wasn't like they'd actually encountered such a ship force before, so it was a novelty of the highest order, and one that will likely be a highly popular encounter to speak about in times afterwards.

For the moment, though, the main thought was of just why there was a wooden ship attempting to interdict the task force. Even if it was an active combat craft, which seemed to be almost impossible. After all, what self respecting nation would still be using wooden ships in this day and age? For the moment, the normal assumption, that this ship was operating not modern guns but cannon, seemed appropriate, and aboard the Amphibious Transport Dock the Commodore, newly promoted, began giving out orders.

Rough Translation
"Play gentle. I know we should be able to beat them even without escort, but for the moment play nice. Buzz them, let them know we have aircraft but don't cause stuff. I don't want an international incident."

Orders which led to a VTAI-9 (V-22 rebranded) buzzing the Pamlico, circling it several times even as the small force continued to mve forward, each ship making course corrections as not to steer too close to the wooden ship and risk issue.

The small party on the shore, meanwhile, would see the skiffs approaching with relative calm. After all, the men aboard didn't exactly look like an issue, and there was little harm in shouting back.

"We're fine thank you! Our pickup should be arriving shortly, but if you do want to come ashore I'm sure we can get you something to eat for your time."

Malevalon Creek Combined Arms Base
Construction of the MCCAB in Baltocarpathia had come to a successful completion. The necessary preparations were finalized for the relocation of numerous military assets to the base and the moving process had begun.

Vikan-Solingarchi Relations
Negotiations were swift and came to a conclusion with the formalization of a Non-Aggression Pact, Embassies, establishment of VISA-based travel, and Rykensvik will operate a development zone inside of Ivory. The Vikan-controlled zone will largely be run as a mega-mall of Vikan commercialism, putting on display the various and wide-array of Vikan products. From manufactured toys and industrial grade household cleaning products, to DVD sets of movies and animated shows, and cars.

The Price of Democracy
With Rykensvik expanding its defensive network, funds were allocated to the rent of an airforce base within Averius. At a high cost of 400 Million Kroner annually, Rykensvik will formalize both its military presence and its pledge to protect the ideals of democracy within Averius.

Watching Allessia
The broadcast that put communist red revolutionaries on display at the gallows was one interestingly watched by the Vikan government. Diplomatic discussions had provided notes on how Allessia functions and Rykensvik knew well that it was not the beacon of liberty that they’d hoped it to be. However, the threat of communism was very real and something Rykensvik had previously encountered some decades ago. It was, however, received with some skepticism. To publicly televise another round of executions of an enemy from thirty years ago, meant that it seemed the Allessian Emperor may have been slipping grip on his power and was utilizing this to reaffirm his position.

Whatever the reality of the situation was, it was another group of communists removed from the world and one less threat that Rykensvik had to worry about.

Kulkkistani-Vikan Relations
The meeting with the Kulkkistani Foreign Minister went well. New knowledge was gained from the encounter and it was knowledge unexpected. However, trade, albeit with high levels of protectionism from the Kulkkistani State. Embassies would also be constructed to enable more effective methods of communications.

Rumors were running amuck within the halls of government. Rumors of several states, neighboring states nonetheless, potentially running slavery or slavery-like operations within their borders. To protect the integrity and mission of Rykensvik, the Vikan Foreign Intelligence Committee (ViFIC) would release spies into Baltocarpathia and Aquitinia with their mission being to establish information networks to track down any potential legal or illegal slave driving operations. The mission operated under the assumption that neither nation’s government would willingly disclose such operations to the Vikan government given its very public stance on liberty and individual freedoms.

If a slavery institute is found and confirmed to be supported and/or funded by the existing government, a report will be made to discuss the degree of prevalence it has within that country’s society.

The meeting with the Kulkkistani Foreign Minister left something of an awkward taste in the President and government’s mouth. A faith-led dictatorship with a strong disdain for free market capitalism raised quite a few eyebrows. The collective assumption was that this government was potentially communistic in nature, forcing people either into equality through poverty, or sabotaging individuality through governmental over-regulation and manipulation.

The way the minister spoke about this deity-chosen man was seemingly unnatural, as if trained to speak of him in such a praising manner. Furthermore, the mention of “restricted liberties to preserve the revolution” raised further concerns that below the surface of a democratic farce, was a red banner waiting to be unfurled.

Operatives of ViFIC would quietly get into the country and establish an information network. The goal was to gather as much official documentation, publicly available sources like news stories, and even a copy of their faith’s religious texts. While some of this could probably and easily be obtained above board, there were concerns that the Kulkkistani would alter information to portray their theocratic leadership in a good and holy light, minimizing the shadows that were assumed to be present. Furthermore, the operatives would also try to scout out any potential resistance groups to the current regime and make contact to gather even more information on the situation and quality of life within the country.

Expansion of the Vikan Airforce and Establishment of the Missile Command Branch

The Vikan airforce was a strong entity of military power, seemingly on par with its contemporaries and neighbors. However, It had limited operational capacities, designed for en massed warfare of supremacy. To expand the operational range of the airforce, it needed close air support and medium bombing aircraft that were lighter, smaller, and cheaper to fly in comparison to the FC-12 Yeti. It would also need heavy transport aircraft to simplify the moving process for any large amount of manpower.

In the modern age, wars could be won easier with fewer lives lost compared to traditional warfare of ages passed. This could easily be achieved with the usage of missiles. Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) were the new hot weapon of the century and could outperform several aircraft in precision-based destruction. To manage the production, decommission, maintenance, and usage of the country’s missile systems, the third branch of the military would be made, known as “Missile Command”.

RP: Gullblatt Enclave

The Gullblatt Enclave is located in the Southeastern region of the Greater Confederation of Switzerland. Mountains can be found in the north of the enclaves region before giving way to forested hills where plains cover the south. The economy is heavily built on the agricultural sector and a a few other minor sectors breaking into tourism, information technology, and semiconductor manufacturing and development. Using the geography Gullblatt can be divided into three subsections. Höhleberg is the most northern of these having been mostly built around the entrance mouth to a large cavern. Much like the mountain range above it limestone and black shale make up the bulk of the structures. Small amounts of bornite-copper have been found within the area but not enough to make an impact economically. Only about 20% of the enclaves population live around and within Höhleberg. Himnesarta also known as the Celestial Heart is the economical center of Gullblatt acting as the seat of power for the enclave. This is located within the hills region. Most of the modern infrastructure is located within this subsection. Some important buildings here would included the Ether Palace, Gullblatt only skyport, Celeste Cathedral, International Academy of Gullblatt, and the Silkway Network HQ building not far from their manufacturing facilities. Last of these subsections is Blumefeld which takes over the bulk of the plains. A number of large Hallowstead plantations farm the land creating the agricultural backbone.

The Sprites of Sitruuna at the Davidii Sky Yards have completed the first line of the Valas-Class airships. These behemoths come in at 1,064 feet long with a helium gas volume of 14.9 million cubic feet. It had a gross lift of 1.7 million pounds, enabling it to carry 500 passengers, a crew of 100 and 100 tons of freight at speeds over 200 mph. These numbers could easily be moved around to offer heavier armaments outfitted on these sky vessels. A unique feature of this airship is the central tube acting like a backbone running from nose to tail of the vessel giving its better support and strength. The vessel is powered by a nuclear propulsion system it takes up 22 percent of its total weight allowance. The Sprites are ready to hand over the Valas-Class airship to Solingarch after spending six years building and testing it. The ship does require a name still.

Five thousand of these units were misplaced by a submersible transport also known as given to Kulkkistan. The transports departed from the Naacal islands in the eastern sea and were never seen again. Though the rocket units didn't exist in the first place, as per the Technate's intricate documentation, the purpose of this covert operation was to stir unrest to give the Reds another chance at seizing the day and being free from the Amberleaf tyranny.

RP: The Naacal

The trio of islands Otyken built bases on were called Moana'ui, Talaiti, and Raitea or, in recent times, simply the Naacal islands. Otyken had expected these islands to be uninhabited as they were possibly the furthest point from any civilization on a rainy, volcanic tropical archipelago spanning 1,387.819 km2. Still, when they landed, they encountered some human islanders, which they 'politely' shoved away as mass quantities of ships carrying equipment bulldozed and burned several hectares to make one of the most advanced and largest bases Otyken had ever produced with plenty of runways, hangers, defences and more to sustain endless wars against the western continent if need be. The Naacal people had an utterly surreal experience of seeing hundreds of aircraft make rounds here and entire Carrier Battle Groups sailing by; they were strictly prohibited from going near the bases that Otyken had created, and the very sky seemed to have been sliced open by contrails as this island lost to time was infested with machines of war with capacity for destruction unknown to them.

Once the war in Baltocarpathia had settled down, the Otykenese made more formal contact with the Naacal in small groups they had vaccinated. Many Scholars, Anthropologists, and Archeologists soon arrived from the mainland to interact and understand their language, which did have some passing similarities to Kiv'Nava. Interest has been highly piqued during Archeological digs on the island, indicating an utterly ancient past. Dialogue with the people was shaky; they were reluctant to be vaccinated and seemed to have been genetically modified or had strange long, lost genetics from their isolation, which led Otyken not to be as worried about sickness; the Otyken scientists thought the brown skin, white hair, and blue eyes of the Naacal was downright strange and unusual. The people had many blue tattoos and seemed to have vast stocks of gold and gems worn as jewelry, though where they had been finding the gold was unknown. Most appeared to be subsistence farmers, with sweet potatoes and assorted tropical crops being favoured and lots of fishing. The coast had several derelict ships, indicating that Otyken wasn't the first to be here. The rain-soaked island was covered in ruins, including stone cities, megaliths, statues of all sorts and some artificial island cities filled with canals. Much history was recorded on huge stone tablets engraved in written Naacali and other bizarre and long-lost languages; the Naacal seemed to have also forgotten how to read and write their language.

Naacal II (2010's)
Further vaccination had taken place, and some deaths caused intense outrage amongst the islanders, but it wasn't like they could do anything about it. Otyken found they had a currency called Rai and started engaging in some trade with the Islanders, typically purchasing artifacts or fresh food for the base, which drove the Naacali's fledgling economy. Otyken had also unearthed some tombs loaded with treasure but had to leave it be so as not to gain the ire of the people here immediately. Later, some Absukians had been sent here who would have a far better time understanding the language, and Otyken was driven a little bit crazy when some mentioned knowing of this place but didn't visit it; this was soon followed by some dives by the Absukians and Otykenese in scuba gear to take a look at the plethora of underwater ruins around the coast and photograph various things to understand better. On the opposite side of the island to the military base, Otyken would construct an airport, Seaport and town, which they called Port Mariana, to be easier to understand for visitors as the site was opened to tourism within specifically designated areas that they had negotiated with the locals.

Following several dives to underwater caves and a more comprehensive language model for easier cross-culture dialogues, some Naacali officials had confronted the explorers that they were looking for all the wrong things for the wrong reasons here and should leave, lest they become cursed and fall to ruin as the continent had done many years ago. By chance or something more sinister, the island had become the center of a tropical storm. Highly superstitious people, Otyken called in the experts, and soon, a trio of large Senzo Isan planes from the CC would land on the islands and members of the Paramilitary Taskforce despite the great risk of the storm. It was nearly pitch black and raining hard as the Paramilitary group exited the plane on the flooding runway illuminated by LED lights. They had hit the jackpot with this location, and all of them were as electric as the air in this storm; teams would start unloading the cargo from the planes, disembarking however were two Men in Black and a Stargate operative who had the Tome of Cxurun kept inside a sealed container their pristine silk suits soaked by the rain they would move to the terminal, but the Stargate operative raised a hand stopping them, the soldiers looked around in the darkness, the psychic detected something deeply wrong with the scene and the SI troopers had immediately tensed up and drawn weapons.

Ahead of them, one of the locals was standing on the runway with a spear and some sort of mask; they knew better than to focus on the target; this was a common tactic. Were the locals really going to cross the fence and interfere with the dealings of those with fighter jets and tanks? They’ve seen all these war machines pass by here. The Stargate operative would wave and send the Men In Black and the Escort to the terminal quickly, the Naacal had his hidden eyes transfixed on the container which held the tome. The Stargate agent couldn’t speak their language, but he didn’t need to; he extended a gloved hand he reached out into the mind of the local. In a sharp breath, it was as if the world seemed just to melt away.

They stood in a sea of infinite blackness upon the surface of the waters; the local was walking towards him across the surface of the inky sea; he reached into his holster to draw his gun only to find it empty, and the local was only a few feet away now and spoke telepathically.
“We told you to leave what has been hidden here alone, yet you bring a cursed tome to these islands and continue to dig and search. For what purpose? You will find nothing but ruin. The ocean holds her secrets.”
The Stargate operator grinned slightly, reaching out with a psionic burst to attack the native. As quickly as they entered the void they returned to the rain-soaked runway, but the local was nowhere to be found. The Stargate operative shouted to search the area and resume unloading, so they did. Nothing was found.

The Absukians had said they knew of the place but seemed to avoid it. Did they believe it to be cursed also? Some were more than willing to participate in scuba expeditions, but perhaps they didn’t believe in magic or the paranormal; that was a likely explanation. The Naacal seemed to believe these islands were the highest point of a sunken continent and that they survived the entire world, having been reset in a great flood to punish the hubris of all sapient beings on this world where the old world and its relics, knowledge, and sins had been lost. Cross-referencing with Absukian mythology, the lost continent and the great deluge theory were part of their culture; it seemed likely that the Absukians would have survived a great flood.

FATHOM 470900112643000
While various groups tried to continue their archeology during the storm, which didn’t seem to fade, the island itself seemed to be working against their efforts with lightning strikes causing communication interference, mudslides destroying equipment, and deadly currents preventing scuba diving the sky above was swirling from the winds the island at the epicenter of cosmic unrest. The Senzo Isan went to the coast with ruins closest to the Great Trench. They decided to test this forbidden tome for real and rise something from the depths, and what better place than cursed islands? Thunder shook the skies; the tropical flora was shifting and blowing around from winds, and the ocean violently gnashed at the coast. Two MIB agents stood watch recording the ordeal as the SI members set up the altar; the book was immune to the elements, so they didn’t have to worry about that; the Stargate Operative would be the one to conduct the ritual and defy the gods who raged with a storm to hinder their movements. An altar had been created according to the specifications of the book, partially submerged in seawater, and Seven of the locals had been brought out yelling and tied up to be used as human sacrifices. The sacrifices were captured while fishing. The SI members had adorned themselves with cloaks and oceanic masks like those illustrated in the book; the Stargate operative had the book opened on an enchanted pedestal and knew his mission was to be gruesome; they had an assortment of scalpels, bone saws, and nefarious tools to butcher the sacrifices to provide bait to raise the alien god from the trenches, which they would surely harness as a weapon to be used against their nemesis. The six were butchered gruesomely in an hour long ordeal of unprecedented horrors their dismembered forms floating in the now red soaked waters as lightning streaked the skies the the assistant ritual members anointed the waters with essential salts and chanted, one remained alive tied to the altar, who was being carved up with profaned sigils and glyphs from the book and kept alive and conscious through the agony from a concoction the book had described, the souls of the 6 eviscerated sacrifices hung in the electric air, lightning streaked the sky the cultists knee deep in crimson sea water. The Stargate operative would return to the book and recite the final rites, the two MIB agents watched intently as the final rites were completed one of the assistant cultists brought an axe down on the head of the final sacrifice and blood gushed out further bathing the altar. The seven had been killed.

The offering was accepted. It had seemingly awoken from death-like slumber.

A great blue beam rose from the darkest depths of the oceanic trenches piercing the heavens. Soon a dense fog rolled in to accompany the tropical storm as some enormous shadow shifted in the ocean near the coast it's immense form occasionally made visible by flashes of lightning, the glyphs and sigils on the altars glowed in response to the Star-Spawn, The sacrifices would bubble and mutate becoming a congealed mass of undulating human viscera which sloshed into the sea towards the great shadow. The Stargate operator closed the book and stood atop the gore soaked altar with outstretched arms and the assistant SI members kneeled around it, the MIB would be slowly stepping back in horror. The operatives vision flashed with a face wholly alien 12 golden eyes stared at him whispering telepathically to communicate, his eyes mimicked the color as his mind linked with the unfathomable, it was a Star Spawn, he made known the wish for ultimate power to rule over this tiny planet, to which the creature flashed visions of apocalypse it was huge beyond measure with great batlike wings and many cephalopodic features; it showed a city burning in apocalyptic destruction the citizenry gone totally mad tearing their flesh off eating and defiling one another, the Operative recognized the city and shouted jubilant praise to the creature.

He paused for a moment as the creature demanded more blood, to awaken. To be truly freed from slumber and break the surface tension of the ocean. It compelled him to kill the others. The Operative swiftly grabbed his gun from the holster the MIB agents reaching for theirs but with Supernatural speed and practiced precision he released two shots which went into the heads of the MIB agents their knees collapsed instantly and they fell in awkward poses blood leaking from their heads, the other SI agents looked up after hearing the gunshots and went into a panic leaving the water to grab their weapons, the gun shots continued as the Stargate Operative executed them one by one until he was alone amongst the bodies and blood. The creature was amused at this attempt and compelled the Operator to make one final… ultimate sacrifice, he put the gun to his head and… click click click the gun was empty. He tossed the gun aside in a trance state from the unfathomable beings' control and picked up a scalpel that had been used to dissect the islanders and looked at it, the reflection showed the creature to which he turned around and saw nothing but the great shadow in a flash of lightning. He climbed up on the altar and yelled running the scalpel along his throat gore spewed out and he collapsed to his hands and knees choking.

Epilogue: The Stargate Operatives body was never recovered. The Tome of Cxurun and video footage was collected from the site. Evidence of what had transpired was removed. Hydrophone data from the base had recorded a message from the Star-Spawn and all materials were sent to site M12. Plans are underway to try again with a greater offering and more mentally strong psychic. Snippets of the apocalyptic visions had been transposed on to the video recordings and were analyzed.

FOREIGN MINISTRY OF THE UDONOVI REPUBLIC OF KULKKISTAN
وزارت امور خارجه جمهوری اودونووی کولکستان

Statement on the pursuit of diplomatic and economic relations with the Citizens Republic of Rykensvik

The government of the Udonovi Republic of Kulkkistan is proud to announce that the first round of formal discussions on diplomatic and economic ties between Foreign Minister Ramin Nassirian and President of Rykensvik, Valka Jorgeson, have concluded with mostly positive results. Both officials discussed important subjects such as economic deals, trade deals, the construction of embassies, and topics regarding info surrounding the history of our respective nations. Alongside this, Nassirian repeatedly expressed his disapproval of globalist capitalist policies, and both sides discussed the matter in a suitable fashion.

"Relations between both of our nations are of to a well start," stated Foreign Minister Nassirian in a press conference mere days after returning to Noshkant from Rykensvik. "Our government is confident that ties between our nations will only continue to improve from here, and what awaits us is only positive news."

Nassirian's statements couldn't have been farther from the truth. Although it was true that relations were, at least seemingly, off to a well start, the government had remained concerningly skeptical of Rykensvik's position regarding Kulkkistan, and its revolutionary and theocratic nature. These concerns would only be reinforced once higher-ups within the Udonovi Republic received word from FM Nassirian that there had been a number of times where President Jorgenson showed signs of skepticism once learning of Kulkkistan's wider motives in terms of opposing the global capitalist society. Nassirian himself had also been skeptical, when Jorgenson suggested Kulkkistan intregrate itself into the free global market, a concept which was the Udonovi Republic staunchly stood against. Not to mention, Nassirian had avoided mentioning events such as the June Massacre, the Baltocarpathian border skirmishes, and the rather extremist militant groups funded, armed, and supported by the Udonovi government. With this in mind, it was estimated that, unless the Kulkkistni people submit themselves to the western globalist practices, things from here would only head downhill.

Although Kulkkistan wanted positive relations with its neighbors in order to make regional friends, Supreme Leader Tarrokh had already learned his lesson. Last time Kulkkistan attempted to appease a group it stood against, that being the imperialists, the people nearly revolted against him were it not for the fact that the eruption of the Baltocarpathian Civil War gave Tarrokh a justification to nullify the agreement that had been signed between both nations. However, now that the imperialists have fallen, the globalists and capitalists have taken their place as enemies to revolutionary regimes across Kalrania. Therefore, Tarrokh had to put the revolution in front of foreign relations, even if it meant relations would be soured completely between Kulkkistan and other countries. Tarrokh himself was extremely hesitant to enter talks with Rykensvik, however he finally decided that economic ties with surrounding nations could prove beneficial, as Kulkkistan was in a struggling position. Despite this, as talks came to an end, Tarrokh became more skeptical of Rykensvik than he was before the talks took place. Nonetheless it was still important to maintain a peaceful relationship with anyone who could topple his regime. In order to prevent the most extremist of Udonovists from sabotaging ties between both countries, Kulkkistani state-sponsored media was tasked with spreading false information, claiming that Rykensvik had shown full-on support towards Kulkkistan's attitude towards the rest of the world. Of course, this was all a bunch of lies to keep the people under control. Even leaders of militant groups such as the Ansouthis and Hazameh were prevented from knowing about Rykensvik's true position.

It was truly a fragile situation, and soon enough the Kulkkistani government would have to decide what to do.

To say that Rykensvik's so-called 'Operation Faith' was a risky gamble would be an understatement. As the operatives made their intrusion into Kulkkistani society, the country's intelligence would already become aware that something, somewhere, was not right. Although they couldn't, at least yet, pick up what it was, a quiet, behind-the-scenes investigation was well under way, with agents of the Kulkkistani Internal Secret Service keeping an eye out for any suspicious people. This meant that Ryeksnvikan operatives were borrowing from limited time. Of course, it would only be a matter of time before they were discovered, so they had to act fast.

And with that, their operations could begin. As they looked for whatever they could, to gain info on Kulkkistani society, they would find a number of interesting things. Heavily modified Akhist religious texts, which contained a number of new sections including stories of the 1980 revolution and Supreme Leader. It was like the 1980 revolution had been incorporated into their religion, with orders to thank the Kulkkistani god, Akhrah, for the revolution daily, with some lesser-known editions even ordering followers of the faith to pray to Tarrokh himself. Local news stories were dominated by one channel: Noshkant24. Having been established as an underground communications channel before the revolution so that revolutionaries could communicate without being arrested by officers of the monarch, it quickly grew into Kulkkistan's biggest state-owned news channel, regularly pumping out extremely biased news, which included things such as painting most foreigners in a bad light, showing the success of Tarrokh's regime, or talking about revolutionary topics. One story in particular was the upcoming celebrations for the revolution's 30th anniversary, with large-scale preparations underway for the event. It was true that the Kulkkistani state was trying to portray the revolution and Tarrokh in a god-like sense, whether it was altered at all due to their knowledge of foreign intelligence within Kulkkistan was a question that would remained unanswered.

The operatives would have nearly no luck finding any resistance groups within Kulkkistani society. Although they did exist, they had become so underground due to fears of persecution by the Kulkkistani government, especially following the June Massacre, that it would be nearly impossible to find information about any of them unless they managed to dig really, really deep. In fact, finding information about most things that painted the revolution or Tarrokh in a bad light was completely impossible as well. All that could be found was countless, endless state-distributed propaganda, to the point where one could become sick to the stomach...

Kulkkistan Holds Major Celebrations, Remembering the Revolution 30 Years Ago

The Udonovi Republic, now thirty years old, has surpassed many expectations and goals.

        [ NOSHKANT • SEPTEMBER 2010 ]

[ NOSHKANT24 ] - With thirty years having passed since the Akhist Revolution of 1980, Kulkkistan is now in the face of a new era of prosperity and revolution. Commemorating the events that took place that September night, as the will of the people overpowered tyranny, we successfully rid ourselves of the imperialist plague residing within our nation. Although we faced many, many challenges in the immediate aftermath of the revolution, nothing could have prepared the world for our determination and sheer will in opposing the global capitalist order. Today, we remember these challenges and these victories with our grand celebrations, larger than ever seen before in the history of Kulkkistan. The military has put on a proud display of our armed capabilities, reminding the world of our potent abilities to defend the revolution and bring other nations to salvation. In these marches, brave soldiers were present, marching with guns in hand, ready for combat. Tanks rolled across te streets of Noshkant, with flags of the Udonovi Republic proudly set atop the tanks, waving in the wind. Other military vehicles, including armored personnel carriers and armored trucks were put on display at the parade. Alongside this, we defiantly showed off our wide array of missiles, with trucks carrying these weapons throughout the streets of Noshkant. Jets flew overhead, with their trained pilots putting on a beautiful airshow for millions of spectators Our great navy, meanwhile, has sailed past the beaches of Kulkkistan, where civilians watch from afar.

Following this great parade, civilians poured out into the streets in great support of the celebrations. Many waved flags of the Udonovi Republic, while others publicly and proudly burned flags of the so-called "Kulkkistani Empire", singing revolutionary songs and shouting revolutionary chants in the process. Then, our great and breave leader, Ali Akhroq Tarrokh made a public appearance at Noshkant's Tarrokh Park, named after him in 1982. He gave us a great speech, defying the globalist capitalist world order by stating that Kulkkistan will continue to push forward and that the national revolution will soon become a regional one, before turning into a global one. He also commemorated many heroes who were unfortunately killed either in the revolution or our resistance against the great imperialist monster of Baltocarpathia. Leader Tarrokh was also joined by local officials, military leaders, religious leaders, other government officials, and even the heads of the defiant militant groups who have time and time again helped Kulkkistan resist against the foreign imperialists. Each of them made their own statements, reinforcing Leader Tarrokh's speech and only empowering the will of the Kulkkistani people. This speech will, no doubt, go down as one to remember in Kulkkiani history 10, 25, 50, or 100 years from now, when we continue to celebrate our victories.

Leader Tarrokh was also present at the opening ceremony for what will be called the Museum of the Den of Imperialism. The museum is located within what used to be the Baltocarpathian Den of Imperialism and Espionage, officially known as the "Baltocarpathian Embassy" in Noshkant. Announced in 2006, the museum has finally finished construction and is ready to be seen by the public eye. The museum offers a wide array of displays showing off the Northerners' true evil intents, with revolutionary murals, old equipment used by the Baltocarpathians in their sabotage operations, and readable documents that expose the Northern Imperialists for who they truly are. A handful of other equipment from other former embassies shall be located within this museum, which will truly show just how malicious some nations can be.

It was no secret that Tarrokh's time on Kalrania was running out. Although Tarrokh had somehow managed to pull through and make himself seem as defiant as ever, with his loud and angry speech in Tarrokh Park, he had recently been giving in to his old age. Thirty years since the revolution was a long time, long enough to make Tarrokh go from a fifty year old wise and intelligent leader, to an 82 year old senile man. Being born in 1928, he had become very active within the opposition to the Kulkkistani monarchy by the late 1940s. He spent nearly four full decades hiding from the government, who was actively seeking to kill him no matter the cost. By late 1970s, as things turned around for the monarchy, he came out of hiding as he entered his fifties. Soon enough, he and his fellow revolutionaries struck the final blow to the empire of Kulkkistan, forcing the Vayzer to flee the nation and bringing him to power. As a man who had become old enough to call himself wise, many of his followers soon helped him create a sort of personality cult, under the disguise of being selected by Akhrah himself to lead Kulkkistan post-revolution. From here, he would grow older and older, entering his sixties going into the 1990s, and turning seventy in 1998. He spent the 2000s in his seventies, and now, entering the 2010s, he is in his eighties, continuing to age.

However, as he got older he has also become more fearful, while also becoming more radical. Purges within the government became frequent as he sought to remove any forms of opposition from within. Despite many being loyal, he just couldn't shake the feeling that someone was plotting something against his regime, especially following the 2004 rebellion within Baltocarpathian borders that posed a huge threat to his own regime. But these paranoias that have plagued his state of mind have also undoubtedly come from his ailing mental, and as of recently, physical health. Tarrokh has been appearing in public less and less, and for good reason. His most recent public appearance, before the Tarrokh Park speech, had him freeze for nearly ten seconds before continuing his statements. Although the general public thought nothing much of it, it had become a huge concern to the inner circle of the government, as for the first time in his regime, he had publicly shown signs of physical weakness. Him also becoming more frail has led to less public appearances due to fears of his elderly and wrinkled appearance discouraging many of his followers.

Even Tarrokh himself has come to realize that such developments could pose a huge risk to the Udonovi Republic. There have been covert and secluded talks within the government recently, aimed at finding and choosing a successor to take control of the nation when Tarrokh inevitably dies. Many revolutionary heroes, religious figures, or even members of Tarrokh's extended family have been brought up, however none of these are notable people within Kulkkistani society, therefore choosing any one of them to succeed arguably the most popular man in all of Kulkkistani history could prove disastrous. Therefore, it had been decided upon that, at the right time and moment, the government would "plant" a potential successor within Kulkkistani society, using Kulkkistani-controlled media and propaganda in order to steadily increase his popularity over time, in hopes that, once Tarrokh dies, this potential successor could easily become the next Supreme Leader of Kulkkistan. Who it will be, however, is still a mystery to many.

As a new round of weapons shipment arrives quietly to one of Kulkkistan's military-controlled ports, this time being a number of smaller rocket artillery weaponry, the Kulkkistani military has once again privately extended its many thanks to Otyken for providing weapons to the sole stronghold of truly revolutionary ideals in the western hemisphere. Although both nations officially don't participate in arms trade, recent events have caused both nations to develop underground ties behind public view, something that could also be seen as the very, very first steps towards forming a collective resistance to the capitalist world order.

RP SERIES: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF…

PT.1 SUNDAY SERVICE IN SOUTH PRUSSIA

I found myself back in hell… flashes of light all around me. Screaming, but was it people or the planes above us. I see movement in the corner of my vision, there is no time for hesitation.. I fire blindly in the chaos. I focus my vision on the target and I freeze… Oh no… not again.. I’m sorry.. I’m so sorry.. The noise drowns out my plea, a deafening cacophony sends me to my knees. I see them now.. all of them.. looking back at me with fire in their eyes.. The alarm goes off at 7 in the morning and I awake with a sweat. The sunlight pears through the open curtains and the sound of children laughing fills my ears. “Hey, Father is awake!” One of the kiddos says with glee as he checks on me in my room. “I’m.. I’ll be there in just a second. Let mom know I’m up tho.” I shake my head slightly, catching my bearings. Getting out of bed I make my way to the bathroom to freshen up. I splash cold water on my face to help calm me down. “It’s over now.. best to try and move on.” I say to my reflection. Getting dressed on Sundays was always an affair. The suit, the tie, the nice cufflinks, the good shoes. It takes me about ten minutes to get everything together before I go down stairs. I’m met with the pleasant aroma of coffee and food, and the sound of the morning news playing on the TV. “Oh hey hon, I got the kids ready and breakfast is on the table. The delivery man brought our coffee too so I prepared that for us as well.“ I smiled. “You know, I’d be a mess without your help I barely got up on time. Thanks for all you do.” She grinned and did a mock theatrical bow“No sweat, It’s a great day outside and I woke up with a lot of energy so I figured I’d get everything done early to have some time to relax before church service.” We kissed and then gathered the family together for our morning meal. “Alright everyone your dad is gonna lead us in prayer so not eating before hand.” She pointed at the two young boys fidgeting at the table, seemingly filled with energy. “Yes, everyone join hands. Dear Heavenly Father, we gather in prayer to give thanks for the life you have provided us and for the food, shelter and safety that you have graced us with these past 6 years. Bless our family today lord and may the food we eat give us the nourishment and energy we need to face the day. In your name we pray, Amen.” The table followed- “Amen”
Breakfast went by rather quickly, the boys wanted to catch the latest Sunday livestreams and my wife Delilah had to finish getting ready. That left me, my two sons, and a nice glass of cold brew espresso to enjoy the next hour or so just hanging out in the living room and seeing what was trending online and flipping endlessly through YouTube videos on the television. The news was uneventful. The same boring clickbait stories trying to get a rise out of the people. One did stand out though, a story on Allessia and their recent executions. I sighed. “Same old world” I mumbled. After twenty minutes I decided to just see what was new in the video game world. David touched my shoulder, gaining my attention. “Hey pa, could you tell me a little about before?” His eyes seemed fixated on me, filled with excitement.
“What uh.. what do you wanna know son?” I replied alittle startled by his sudden interest. Just a few minutes ago he was glued to the screen of his tablet.
“You know.. what was life like?” His voice dropped some like he was expecting to be disappointed. “Sure son, I’ll tell you some stuff about before.” I gathered my thoughts. “Before was.. something different. A time when people like you and me had special privileges over everyone else. It was a time of great patriotism to our homeland and a time where we boasted among the most powerful nations in Kalrania, but everyone’s smiles were fake. Nobody was truly happy, atleast not most people. You see, many of us got together many years ago and decided that us having these special privileges was unjust. We decided to give up our authority in order to fight for what was good in God’s eyes.” David grinned. “You were one of the good guys yes? I remember you were a soldier man.” He did a funny impersonation of a soldier. “I was.. I was. You wanna know why?” I asked
He looked me in the eyes. “Yes yes! Tell me!” He gleamed
“It was because of the bad men who wanted to put people like your mother and our local delivery man down. You know how mom is going to school to get a degree, and how the delivery man wears those strange idols on his neck?” He nodded. “They wouldn’t let them do those things because they feared change, but the reason I joined specifically, was because someone very close to me was hurt by these bad men. So badly he went to heaven. They hurt many others this was too…” I lost my train of thought. Memories of before came flooding back to me. My childhood, high school, college… the protests, violence and the war. I came to my senses again. I looked at my son. He looked scared. Smiling I said. “Don’t be afraid, your big strong father took care of those brutes. They won’t ever hurt anyone ever again.” He cheered up some. “You promise?” He said. “I promise” Just then my wife entered the room. “Okay, what do you think?” She styled her new floral dress, striking a silly pose. Her head was wrapped in a light scarf that matched the dress. “You look just as lovely as on the day we met.” I chuckled. “Is it time to go?” I asked her. “We probably should, don’t wanna take any chances. David, Andrew, let’s go, it’s time to go to church.” David was ready at the door and Andrew sluggishly followed, his eyes still fixated on his tablet game. “Let’s leave this home little one.” I said, gently taking the tablet from his hands. “It’ll be here for you when we return.” We left home as a family out into the cool breeze. Cars moved slowly along the small town road. Other families made the same journey we were, slowly approaching the large church that towered above the small houses of the suburban district. The stained glass windows Dow casting a colorful shadow against the street in front of it. We passed a few stores along the way, some selling toys, others movies, some books and still more were selling electronics. We even passed by a few small diners. I frowned a bit as we passed the local bar. A sign in bold font was on the door. “People of Averius are not welcome here.” “Some things never change.” I thought turning to face the sidewalk again. We made idle chat amongst ourselves about the weather, how beautiful the sky was and how nice the smell of the air was this day. We chatted about work and about how my wife was doing in her online courses. We even talked with Andrew about the newest Podcasts coming out of Otyken and Brennus, those that made it through the government filters that is. I looked at our rag tag team. The family God had blessed me with after the war. A beautiful wife and two sons to be by my side for the foreseeable future. It almost makes me wanna forget the bloodshed of before, no not almost. It does make me want to forget about before. Besides, that nation doesn’t exist anymore. Just like the parable, it’s been born again.. Baptized by the spirit.. and fire. The bells start ringing, pulling me back into reality and filling the cool air with the beautiful chime that floods the entire city letting everyone know that church is open for the masses. “Looks like we left just in time,” My wife remarked. “It appears so. I wonder what Pastor Martin has for us today?” I questioned. “I’m sure it’ll be pertinent as always. The Holy Ghost works like that you know.” I smiled. “I know.” We made our way through the crowds as the town was in full motion to get to the services, eventually the massive structure was right ahead of us, gleaming rays of multicolored light upon us as we approached the doors. “Alright kids stay close to mommy and daddy” I said, holding both my son’s hands. “We don’t want you getting lost.” Music boomed through the sanctuary, that and the voices of a thousand congregants speaking simultaneously. Candles burned in the window seals, incense and fragrant oils were lit, filling the air with a relaxing and fresh feeling. This felt like home to me, to us. A place of refuge from our long weeks working nonstop. In this crowded place, amidst the noise of a busy subway station, was an oasis for troubled souls, those left without anything turned to our local church after the war, and like me and my family, they have taken care of us. We made our way to our seats, somewhere in the middle left is where we ended up. The band gathered on the stage and began practicing. Before long, the lights were dimmed and attention was called to the front. Music began to play and songs of worship filled the sanctuary. A thousand voices praising God in fellowship with one another. I get lost in it all. The stress, the aches in my knees, the sadness. In these moments with my family, it all fades into joy… soon enough the singing is over with and an old man in a nice suit walks up onto the stage. He uses his cane to steady himself as he approaches the pulpit. “Attention everyone! I’m so glad to see all these returning faces and families this wonderful and beautiful Sunday morning.”
The congregation replied, “It’s good to be here”, amidst some laughter and clapping. “Alright so today we will be talking about the importance of love and the command to righteous living we have been set free to live out. I highly recommend the church reads the entire sermon on the mount, as it is full of wisdom, but for the sake of time and not wanting to bore you all to sleep (the crowd laughs) We will begin towards the end of the sermon on the mount, the most famous of the scriptures arguably, and for good reason. Would everyone please stand.” He gestures to all of us. I take my wife and my nearest son’s hand, David holds Andrew’s hand to finish the chain. “I will now read the verses and give a short explanation of each.” He cleared his throat, cracked his knuckles and opened his incredibly large Bible with a thud. His voice was worn but firm and carried in a manor commanding reverence. “Our sermon today begins in the book of Saint.Mathew chapter 5, Verse 38 please, pay attention: You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow. “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! That you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” He finished the reading and shut his Bible with another loud thud. As he did so he motioned for the people to be seated. “As you can see, we have been entrusted with moral teaching unlike any other. Though this writing clearly did not originate from this realm, it is applicable all the same. Love your enemies and pray for those who hate you. Be humble and willing to suffer for the sake of what is good. Do not pay back wrong for wrong! This is but a slice of the moral excellence of our Lord Jesus Christ and what he calls us to do in our daily lives.”
… The service lasted about two hours. There was more singing, more praising, more preaching, prayer and laughter. Truly an Oasis for a troubled soul.. As we left the church behind us, the city was in full swing. It was about 10:30 or so in the morning and the streets were as busy as ever. “Hey honey, what do you think we should do with the remaining daylight hours?” My wife asked, pulling me aside. “Well, we could visit the gardens?” I suggested. She put a hand to her chin, and squinted humorously. “Hmm, what do you think boys? Gardens?” David and Andrew were talking amongst themselves about which species would win in a fight. “Guys?” She said, getting their attention finally. “The gardens are fun,” Andrew my youngest said, “I love the butterfly rooms.” Delilah smiled at him. “They are pretty cool huh? All the vibrant colors fluttering around.” - Andrew interrupted them, “I wanna see the statue of that ant, I think she was a knight from Amberleaf.” I pat him on the shoulder. “She wasn’t a knight from Amberleaf, she was knighted by the President after the war. I’m sure you’ll learn about it eventually right?” I asked my wife. “At some point, definitely, we aren’t at modern history yet though and the lesson plans the government keeps sending me can be hard to plan out.” I held her hand, “If you ever need help please ask, we’re a team you know.” She nodded, “I appreciate that baby. As for our plans we should be able to visit both places I think. We will need to get the car though.” I nodded, “Then it’s a plan, we will visit the statue for you Andrew and then we will go to the gardens and play with the butterflies.” [END]

RP: Heart of Darkness

Marovoanise Jungle, southern islands

The jungles were wet, even as Lettnant Arisoa Salema led her troops through the dense foliage, towards the village of Bepea. Wet, and warm. There were only twelve of them, any more would have been an obstacle, and they were hardly well armed. Rifles, for three of them, and a sniper rifle for the fourth in each squad, even as the group walked, or shuffled, towards their objective. Even if they were from the 3rd Infantry Regiment, the Commando forces, this wasn't exactly what they'd been trained for. No, that was more along the lines of shooting protestors who dared to raise arms against the central government, or dealing with other issues.

Which, she supposed, this was. As large butterflies batted against her face and the humidity grew ever more oppressive, they were tasked with dealing with someone. Namely, Tahiry Leriva, a man known for preaching radical left-wing ideals against the Marovoanise government, thus presenting a major threat to the present rule. A major threat to government rule, which was why he was a target. It was a shame, she thought. He may have been an issue, but at the least he thought he was doing what was best for the country. More than she could say for some of the population, who only worked for themselves.

Under orders, though, she was. Which was why she'd been promoted, to lead this mission. And the fact she'd risen through the ranks, all the way from wanting to enlist like her father had, to now being a relatively high ranking officer as women went. And her father had risen as she had, commanding her bosses bosses boss as Deputy Chief for Special Operations Command. No relation, of course, her daddy would never do anything just because. Clearly she was the best choice for the task, and it was that thought that even as she waded through waist deep stagnant water encouraged her to keep going.

Several injuries, all minor scrapes and bruises, would be accrued by the small task force in her group. Thorns were no laughing matter in the rainforest, and the several inch long spikes on vine after vine took their toll, until finally the strike team was in position, rifles in hand as they reached the village, their stopping off point. Welcomed by the leader, they were offered food, the offer accepted, and a bed, not accepted. Typical Marovoanise hospitality, and an encounter which suggested it would be easier to deal with Leriva once he was caught. Still, bedding could come later. For now, boots marched smartly down the packed earth that served as a path, rifles constantly in hand, entering a mud building with a straw roof and filled with smoke. A long table bearing what food could be spared, a mismatch of plates and glasses but at the least enough for the 12.

It was simple food. Spiced Rice, along with some well cooked zebu in a sauce which nobody questions. Still, it's filling, and at the least it's an attempt to provide for the commandos, and that's all they could ask for. Then, they rest a few hours. Don't sleep, and ignore the noise outside, but stay still as they discuss the plan.

That morning, a meeting with their local informant, rough position of Leriva given as a ravine some 8 kilometres north of the village, and they were off. They had their orders, positioning planned, and that was enough. Which meant at 4 am, the force was moving towards the camp, snipers set up with a good view over the ravine and rifles at the ready. Spotted by a sentry, fire began to blaze, rifles cracking and both sides firing almost blindly into the dark, one because they couldn't see, and the commandos because while they did have night vision equipment they were rushing for cover, two taking bullets but neither fatally.

Then, the proper gunfight breaks out. Because once the Marovoanise forces had made it to cover, various small ripples in the ground, fallen rocks and bushes, it was more a slaughter, Leriva's few compatriots taking bullets which were most definitely fatal, until only the man remained, stumbling towards the troops with a dropped rifle even as he yelled. "Don't shoot! I'm Tahiry Leriva, and I'm worth more to you dead than alive."

This was a surprise, but not unwelcome, even as the revolutionary is swiftly tied up and taken back to Bepea, rifles trained at all times as the forces move back with the prisoner. Thrown into the room they'd eaten, and left. Little incident. A conversation with a schoolteacher, assaulting a captain who came in ostensibly to check on the prisoner and more realistically to take a souvenir. Not a good idea, and possibly why the orders were transmitted from high command. Previous plans had rolled around extradition; Allessia, Sodor, another nation against the communism Leriva was preaching. Now, the orders were simple. Execution.

Hence why, at 11:00 PM, Leriva was taken into the jungle, and Sergeant Mihaja Ravalomanana was given more specific order. To make it look like a shooting in combat, which was why the rifle roared, shooting the man once, twice, five times. Puncturing lungs, snapping ribs and finally leaving the body to bleed out, before being drug back to the waiting helicopter for extraction.

The announcement would be made several days later, citing a death in combat situation for the man, even as groups saw this and began to talk, to plan their own acts, the sparks for revolution lit.

=====(Secret…)=====

—[ Mansk & Darjatt, Grand Duchies of Aydarovich & Vorov, Federation of Solingarch ]—

    RP: Crackdowns & Martyrdom

Major media outlets have been running extensive coverage of the disastrous presumed chemical explosion which rocked Darjatt’s bay-side district some days ago. Coinciding with an ongoing strike and protest close nearby, the official cost of life is currently stated to be 536 deaths and approximately 7,000 injuries, with bodies still being identified and pulled from the rubble. Coverage of the event shows footage of a highly militarized police response valiantly swooping in quickly after the explosion to secure the area from rioters and pull stumbling survivors from the dust clouds; all in all, the Darjatt Chief of Police called the explosion an “unprecedented tragedy, which we are working around the clock to investigate and reduce the harm of, to at the least bring closure to all those affected.” The Archduke of Vorov declared a day of mourning in response.

News agencies are being prohibited from conducting their own independent investigations, resulting in all official reports coming directly from the office of the Darjatt Police Department. Major outlets have no objection with this arrangement, internally showing little interest in the prospect of going out of their way to study a case they are assured is already being pursued by the proper authorities. This is common in Solingarch, where information is often filtered through government channels by cooperative media hegemons engaged in a “gentleman’s agreement” with the Federation. As a consequence, the national narrative omits details which local sources and eye witnesses will readily tell you, beginning with the first seconds following the explosion. A survivor reported that police advanced in tightly closed ranks just seconds after the factory went up and were more concerned with the assault and arrest of those fleeing than reaching the injured. They claim police shot wildly into the protesters– who began to panic, with no evidence of gunfire directed toward the police– as their kettle movement closed toward the water, a fact potentially corroborated by the ringing sound of multiple rifles’ gunfire reported by others and piles of shell casings visible on the ground afterwards only where law enforcement had been positioned. Another local source, a journalist employed by a relatively underground publication, captured footage of firefighters and paramedics being denied access to the factory and any injured persons for two hours while the Imperial Landsknechte locked down the scene, resulting in tense confrontations between deadpan riot police and inflamed firefighters. From an adjacent dock across the bay, one worker purportedly saw swathes of people get pushed into the water as protestors broke into a hysteria and clambered over one another to escape the gunfire. Despite the picture painted by these accounts, the team of coroners hired by Darjatt’s authorities reported all 500+ deaths as being caused by the explosion and injuries derived from it, even in cases where corpses had clear bullet wounds or were covered in blunt force trauma aligned closer to tramplings or beatings with batons. When such underreported stories find their way onto social media, they are quickly removed.

Survivors were, almost without exception, detained and held in a commandeered sports stadium after regular facilities began to overflow. Some had to wait upwards of two weeks clustered together with other scared detainees under the watch of armed soldiers only to be released without apology or explanation, while hundreds of others were formally arrested on charges ranging from “disturbing the peace”, to “unlawful assembly” and “engagement in dangerous insurrectionary behavior”, a new categorization created by recent Imperial reform designed to crack down on public dissent and demonstration by marking offenders as “terrorists guilty of treasonous actions.”

Miles away in Mansk, while the nation reeled from the aftermath of the disaster, a signal went off in the Manskan Police Headquarters. Organizing a lightning-quick operation, specialized imperial police units invaded the home of leading Vanguardist labor organizer and theorist Nieve Lem-Ristović and beat him to death while arresting his comrade, Abram Van-Melikov. Facing the extrajudicial murder of a respected community organizer, large segments of the working people of Mansk— especially steel and textile workers— went into an uproar, immediately triggering a series of riots where crowds carried portraits of his face and spray painted his visage and quotations onto government buildings. The wave of disorder was so intense that police acting without higher approval were startled into releasing Abram in an attempt to placate the city’s population, which failed. Murals of Nieve were made overnight, scrubbed away, and then put up again. An unofficial public funeral was held in Arala Square, where hundreds held candles and heard eulogies from his family and allies. Dozens of small shrines popped up around the city where people left flowers and copies of radical pamphlets, more always sprouting up whenever the police removed them. Nieve had ostensibly become a martyr, something that the authorities could not accept. They began to act with all deliberate speed to build a smear campaign against him. The narrative on the Darjatt explosion shifted, with their Chief of Police coming out with a new statement that investigations had determined that a bomb had been planted by communist-connected terrorists potentially related to Vanguardist leadership, a claim which “is our primary lead, but will require further investigation to confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt.” Quickly the IDA’s local counterespionage bureau in Mansk invited representatives of multiple unions and sympathetic army garrisons to their headquarters, where they were briefed on the contents of an unfinished investigation revealing (with incomplete bits and pieces of incriminating evidence) that Nieve had been a foreign Kulkkistani operative sent specifically to destabilize Solingarch, receiving Kulkkistani money and directing demonstrations according to Kulkkistani orders. Witness accounts agree that representatives were split in their reactions; half were genuinely shocked by the disclosures while others refused to accept the narrative, the recency of his killing hot on their minds. Taking this as a victory, officials in the bureau thought their case so potent that parts of it should be leaked to the press. Understanding that accusations directly from an Imperial agency so soon after Darjatt’s statement would likely be suspect, two willing moderate-socialist collaborators posturing as concerned citizens were recruited and handed the information for immediate circulation to media outlets. With the Vanguardist newspaper Black Rose sacked and put out of commission by police action the same day Nieve’s residence was raided, refutations came slower than would be hoped, mostly in the form of begrieved, fiery polemics written by Verá Lan-Antonova. She was another long-time organizer and friend of Nieve who publishes through university channels.

In the wave of argumentation that followed over the character of Nieve Lem-Ristović, the riots lost momentum, and with them the Vanguardist support bloc bled morale— a difficult situation— though, in spite of it all, Nieve had still been elevated into a hero in the minds of those whose hearts had hardened against the Solingarchi state. His name would be remembered.

RP Negotiations
Sodor and Seljaryssk would be invited to stay in Estonia, their base being seen as legitimate by the republic of Baltocarpathia. Further negotiations would be presented by the will of the council of Phoenix Blossom to establish our own military garrison in Sodor comprising of native Estonians and their local military forces, Sodor would also be invited to join as a signatory of certain clauses within PB that would strengthen ties between all involved nations without making any military promises

RP | Pst... Slava Prolekult...

Amberleaf had been secretly observing the events unfolding in Solingarch for some time. With the its collectivist and egalitarian culture, it truly did not look fondly upon the local monarchist regime. There seemed to be now sparking flames in southern Solingarch, Prolekult. The Vanguardists, with their ideals of forming a communist republic, were much closer to the Amberlevian values. Squashing down brutally on peaceful protesters was a good way to get on the hostile side of Amberlevian public sentiment. While of the public, voices had been raised to call out the events, the Amber Ministry and Military had been keeping quiet about the affair. They planned on keeping their cards hidden, and use the advantage of Amberleaf seeming relatively uninterested in the affairs.

In secret contact was made with certain few individuals from the Vanguardists. A promise was made. A promise of support. A promise of shattering crowns. Inconspicuously, Amberleaf began slowly delivering arms and supplies, handing them off to unionized dock workers in Darjatt and Kirsport, from which point they could be distributed upriver across the country. To not arouse suspicion, Amberleaf had acquired or constructed trade vessels that mimic those of Solingarch's usual trade partners. They would be hire human immigrants from Baltocarpathia and Greater Confederation of Switzerland to staff the ships and play along the charade, as the Antfolk would be very clear recognized as Amberlevian.

Mentioned Nation(s): Candain, Ryuvir, Kuracha Kanlant, The Outer Union Scouting Squadron, Dze Tribes

With the fall of REK as the Director had predicted that at some point would happen. Honalulu began its diplomatic siege onto the North.

Most notably starting with the Candain enclaves. With the fall of REK, Honalulu’s Ambassador Ano Miliani swooped in back to High Comissioner Rigona Kita and had asked or put pressure on Owlet to build a Military Base with port and air bases. With the guarantee that the Technate would protect Owlet in the case Torimia encroached on Owlet and a guarantee of Independence. ADG would set up a bank here so as to launder black market money through casinos and other entertainment venues. Ambassador would also like to establish visas for tourism and business purposes.

Director of Foreign Affairs Elena Kaapana would travel to Vestrbjorg to meet with High Comissioner Bidea Thür to establish trade relations, dual civilian airport and sea access, along with establishing an embassy there as well as ADG being allowed to construct a financial institution to handle their own cash or so. Director Selena would also wish to establish Visas for Tourism and for business, Honalulu would also want to move black market money into Vestrbjorg NorBank’s and launder money through investments into stocks, companies, shell companies, and through gambling in Owlet by transferring funds from ADG’s future banks in Owlet to ADG’s bank in Vestrbjorg and then tranferring that to NorBank. Elena would also bring about establishing a Technate military base with air and sea access in order to guarantee the independence of Vestrbjorg after the fall of REK.

Lastly Elena would travel to Gloavio with the same deal to High Comissioner Teara Umbra. Though again a bit more different. With Prussia and Switzerland scientists being limited, Marirna University of Physics (MUP) and other universities would like to cooperate with Gloavio’s research labs in science projects. Along with allowing visas for education tourism, and business. With also establishing trade relations with Gloavio. ADG willing to buy some of the underdeveloped land to establish businesses and also Honalulu would also wish to rent some docks to conduct anti-piracy activities that may hamper with ADG, Technate, foreign, or allied ships and assets up North.

Honalulu’s SIA Director along with Foreign Affairs also expressed interest in the magic of the land and thus a research partnership between Honalulu/Technate and Gloavio would be beneficial for the two nations. Director Elena would also want to possibly import Gloavio’s famous highly enriched crystalline mineral water to Honalulu for the elites to have depending on how expensive or if it’s even legal or safe to drink the water.

With the Moth’s being thrown diplomatic deal after deal. Director Elena would move their sights to Otyken’s neighbor, Ryuvir, given Otyken’s and Ryuvir similar cultures yet vastly different people. Honalulu believes that the only real chain that held back any possibilities of diplomacy was REK. Now with the alliance dissolved Honalulu’s Director of Foreign Affairs would open up to the Xing Dynasty once again with wishing to establish embassies, trade relations, and offering them to join CARI as well as supply weapons and military aid to Xing Dynasty (if the civil war or strife is still ongoing).

Kuracha Kanlant was a nation that joined CARI but had little to no communications or ongoings apart from the fued between the South and the North. Thus the Director of Foreign Affairs would meet up with the Coalition of Revolutionary Kanlanti Republics in order to see what the nation was like. Hoping to establish economic & political ties with the CRKR. Honalulu would also want to supply small arms military equipment and relief aid to the Republics if they are in dire need of it.

Then there was also The Outer Union Scouting Squadron, Honalulu’s Director of FA would meet their leader to establish trade relations and embassies with the nation. Along with allowing the establishment of Visas for Tourism, Education, and business purposes. ADG would also wish to establish an investment group or firm to allocate funds from ADG’s financial institution and banks into the Republics industries. As to Honalulu the Union’s Economy was in dire need of being injected with capital and all. Thus it would be a great way for ADG to mix black market and regular cash together and invest them into industries and make profits out of the current Bear Market of Outer.

Finally there was the Dze Tribes question. Honalulu’s Directors have known that Otyken was warming up to them even before the collapse of REK. Thus really the only way to ease back relations with Dze was to take a diplomatic visit to their nation and establish limited trade relations between the two entities.

      | RP: West Ardentia |

The Continental Technate: Kemonomica, Otyken

Mentioned Nation(s): Anheldac, Greater Avaria, Kulkkistan

Not much happens now with West Ardentia, after the Civil War in Baltocarpathia and other affairs going down. Honalulu was rather disinterested in the region. Now though they had began to expand their connections within the western part of the continent.

Anheldac was or is a close friend of Otyken and Honalulu has done a disservice to not really interact with the nation so far. Thus Honalulu wishes to establish trade agreement especially on oil barrels for either monetary or resources of Honalulu. As well as hoping to establish an embassy with the nation. Along with Visas for education, tourism, and for business. ADG subsidiaries also wish to establish branch offices and factories in the nation. As well as a Non-Aggression Pact with the nation. Though this may be a far stretch though the Technate has also desired to establish a Joint Military base in Anheldac with ports and a runway for aircrafts.

Kulkkistan was also a great friend of the Technate though Honalulu’s disinterest in the region didn’t prompt too much diplomacies between the two nations. Though now Honalulu wishes to establish embassies with Kulkkistan, trade agreements, and visas for education and tourism. If ADG subsidiaries are allowed to do business in Kulkkistan then business visas would also be allowed to be issued between the two nations. Honalulu would also begin their supply of military aid to Kulkkistan to ensure that the nation remains a beacon of Liberty and culture in West Ardentia.

Greater Avaria had began trade relations with Otyken and Honalulu had extended the same gesture to the nation. Honalulu’s Foreign Affairs Director is also willing to discuss the creation of embassies between the two nations as well as establishment of visas for tourism.

RP A Matter of Church & State

The church of Baltocarpathia, representing the body of Christ for those in the homeland and abroad, shall henceforth be allowed to remain an integral part of the government of the Confederacy, with the added clause, of forfeiting tax exemption status within the Republic. The Senate hereby sends this proposal to President Max Lorenzo for final approval into law

Uxatsʻypŋułiqq
Insincere words

Recieving word of the Honalulan (Kemonomica) desire to warm the rather cold, or near non-existant, relations that the two states had, the Dze would not give an immediate answer. On one hand, it had been proven that the Absukians were not really bad, promoting economic growth in many nations abroad with CARI, though they were unsure how they were achieving it, and they were also one of the nations that helped create a political stability in world politics; in spite of that, they were also known for their previous antagonism towards the Confederation and most of the allies it had close ties with and, although they could not prove it, the wreckages and equipment the Dze pried out of dead Karzynites looked odd, even if damaged enough to not be easily recognizable...

They did not believe to heart that the intentions of the Absukians, they would be open to hosting a consulate in Ŋołtʻokeq, secretly to keep close tabs on the nation's intention in the short term, and the possibility of a very limited trade deal, though the latter would have to be discussed further late in time, as the nation was currently focusing on salvaging as many of its existing relations as possible.

----------------------------------

Nuwuqʻ tʻyqʻałiqq ḳoqux
Shards of a pot I

Almost a year has passed since the dissolution of REK and the nation, despite having a superb diplomatic reputation, has felt the consequences of the alliance being no more; many of its ties to countries in Ardentia and Vesperia have weakened or just been willingly abandoned, specially as the foreign policy began to adopt a more localized view. Among those links that the nation had been able to fully maintain were those with it's Tengerinan allies, Distan and Xing, specially as the War of Heavenly Reclamation still raged on, with Dzeioi fighting and bleeding side by side with the Ryu, whilst cooperation with Distan shaped much of the nation's M.I.C. and was a core pillar of their trading relations.

However, closer to home, the nation wished to strengthen its relations to the Candain enclaves of Owlet and Gloávið. Although not interacting much before, those enclaves were the place of origin of much of Dzeia's sprite populace, with House Ontes being actually from Gloávið, and the Confederation felt like these enclaves presented many an opportunity for trade and collaboration. Though, secret from anybody else, the Confederation wished to begin work on establishing its presence in its home continent, which it had partially neglected after taking leadership of REK, barring the intervention in the Khaganate Wars.

To the Enclave of Owlet the Confederation would offer the start of trading, wishing to sell construction materials for urban and port expansion, going hand in hand with offers of investing in its housing, port and agricultural sectors to help the enclave grow economically. To the Enclave of Gloávið the Dze would propose the start of a small capacity trade and bilateral investment deal surrounding the Semiconductor, Energy and Pharmaceutical Industries, where sprites thrive thanks to their small size.

Added to this, the Confederation would extend to both Enclaves, individually, the possibility of a Military Alliance, as the Dze feel obligated to uphold their old oaths to each individual state, expressing their desire to continue the old cooperation, even if the broader alliance was no more.

----------------------------------

Tʻuç̇liqq q̇eex̣ke
Games in the grass

For over sixty years now the Dze have been slowly warming up to a sport from the land of Tsʻalnywŋq̇e (Etrius), known in common as "football". Although enjoying it in a small capacity for a while, slightly before and during the Great Blossom of 1995-2005 the nation would build two big stadiums in its biggest cities, as well as some small-scale fields in the smaller settlements, and begin to try and see how to play the sport. Although odd for a mostly nomadic species at first, it eventually found its niche amongst the mannish populace and the sons of dzeioi merchants in the cities, with local teams springing up; a domestic league would be created in the year of 1987 and a national team would be set up by 1990.

Although not being the best at the sport, being quite the newcomer in terms of playing time and infrastructure, it was rising to be one of the more popular sports in the nation, though not yet fully competing with traditional sports, and a great deal of funding has been allocated to ensure that it succeeds even further, though it is yet to be seen how much this will translate to true growth. Nevertheless, a seed has been planted and nurtured, only time will reveal the rest.

RP: Hmm... For what?

The usual Union businesses continue as their Stock Market has been... Semi-Stable. As the Election of 2010 has ruled in favor of Victor Loguhentolf and the Generational Party big time but inheriting an Economy in what seems to be a Crossroads on what it was once was. It was almost like a hybrid Social Capitalism style, with many industries still owned by the Republic and yet some others where indeed private markets. Even with funding it seemed almost like a perfect yet declining balance that needed just a bit more money but they needed to be careful as they too had a threshold that is being reached. That is when Kemonomica decided to come in and wanted their Director to come and establish some relations...

This... Definitely seemed off and out of left field as while it was open for business, it usually wasn't this fast nor it seemed that they have been doing business. They decided that they could come in with their director to talk to the head of the Department of Business and the new Vice President Alonso Catareno.

With the Sodorhvtisi'i government returning to a more active stance in the world, several foreign policy decisions would be made, expected to come to fruition over the next several years

- A request for a pair of military facilities in the nation would be sent to Midribbonia in order to ensure Sodorhvtisi'i logistical capacity in northeastern Ardentia, with intentions being for the basing of 18-24 Transport Aircraft and appropriate air defence assets, along with replenishment formations, on rotational stationing. This would, of course, come with financial compensation in order to ensure continued cooperation between the governments.

- Additional interest in logistical facilities in Allessia and Candain would be voiced, although more concrete agreements would be based on positive responses from foreign governments.

- The Rykensvik request for a meeting would be accepted, with Deputy Foreign Minister Kira Miliavila expecting to fly out before the end of the week to liase with Rycheshvtisi'i officials.

- With the dissolution of the Radiant Entente of Kalrania, Sodor would in order to ensure continued cooperation express to Vesperia as a whole and the Nonasyihvtisi’i government in particular their interest in formally joining the SDC as a member.

        Honalulu: Two Thousand & Ten’s

      ______

        Honalulu
        Aiponnii, Rothenake

      | SICRP: Bunkers and Bankers |

The Continental Technate: Kemonomica, Otyken

Mentioned Nation(s): Greater Confederation of Switzerland, Solingarch, Prolekult

Honalulu would begin a rapid construction of bunkers in preparation for the future. Bunkers equipped with vertical farms, cafeterias, barracks, hospital, and other amenities that creates a self sustaining bunker. On the islands where the larger cities are located, Expansion of Metro’s and underground bunkers also began to happen. $1 Trillion were sunk into renovating metro’s and expansion of bunkers.

Though as Honalulu seemed to prepare for another Cxurun event. Honalulu politicians and high ranking ADG members began to cozy up to Greater Confederation of Switzerland and Solingarch banks. Making deals to pool illicit money from Honalulu’s expanding black market into Ivery, Candain, & Switzerland where they would be cashed out, gambled, invested or otherwise traded with clean paper and moved back into the accounts of criminals under aliases.

This would be Kalrania’s first and perhaps largest flow of illicit money from the East all the way to the West and back. Keeping a flow of cash jumping from one place to another and being used to buy gold bars to store as hard valuables or vaults of cash made through the Black Market.

As communists in Prolekult were beginning to rev up. Money cleaned from gambling, stock investments, and other assets would be used by the Absukian Clans to smuggle in Far-Right Rebels and terrorists of Honalulu who hid in the jungles of the nation and forge fake passports, visas, and other documents in order to get them through Ivery and prep them for the war against the communists in the South. Paramilitaries such as the The Devils Tears and Inoa’ole would form under the eyes of ADG and with the help of Absukian Organized Crime Syndicates.
