|Economic observing|

After centuries of stable growth the nation would face a problem, rather multiple problems. After many policy changes, the dissolvement of the radiant entente and lack of predicted industrial exports, the nations economists would notice a worrying trend, the economic growth of the nation was starting to slowly flatten and stagnate. Concerned with the news a council was held in the Binterât Parliament to discuss future policies and efforts to attempt to halt this stagnation and perhaps prevent future stagnations such as this in the future. While the national reserve is mitigating some of the impact the rest is starting to cause worry within the citizenry whether this will escalate or if it will pass over.
It isn't known if this is just a temporary problem or if its a sign of future stagnation and recession.

Baltocarpathia wrote:RP Negotiations
Sodor and Seljaryssk would be invited to stay in Estonia, their base being seen as legitimate by the republic of Baltocarpathia. Further negotiations would be presented by the will of the council of Phoenix Blossom to establish our own military garrison in Sodor comprising of native Estonians and their local military forces, Sodor would also be invited to join as a signatory of certain clauses within PB that would strengthen ties between all involved nations without making any military promises

RP: Engagement

With the Baltocarpathians expressing interest in further cooperation, Sodor would unfortunately have to deny the garrison in order to comply with preexistent Vesperian Union agreements. However, the United States would be interested in signing certain clauses, with 2, 3 and 4 all deemed suitable and fitting with Sodorhvtisi'i values, and the rest up for negotiation should a positive offer be provided.

RP: Big money big funny

With Sodor becoming an increasing presence on the global stage, Missa-Dei Shipyards would open a variety of Landing ships for sale, from the 920 Tonne LST-14 all the way up to the 25,000 tonne LPD-20, with a view to attracting export customers as opposed to the solely domestic sales. Additional interest in exports of Large Surface Combatants would also be opened, although this would be made to order (Cruiser, Destroyer, Frigate, Corvette), with interested parties welcome to submit interest with specific requirements.

Repairs

The Dzeii Military Complex was not in its best state, with the current recession, even if minor, and the previous seven years of massive strain having taken its toll, only being relieved as the war in Torimia ended and the industrial sector in general began to recieve massive investment, hoping to weather the storm until the late 2010's. Nevertheless, the Armed Forces were, as always, in need of repairs and renewing of equipment. Already projects with their friends at Distan guaranteed the eventual development of native vehicles to compliment the nation's small arms industry, but equipment such as Helicopters was something the army was in dire need of, as well as air frames for its air force, perhaps the smallest of the branches.

Secret proposals would be sent to the nations of Brennus and The Distanic Confederacy, close friends of the Confederation, asking for the availability of Helicopers, Multi-role or Fighter Jets and to inquire about the possibility of developing joint systems with either nation, in order to revitalize the nation's military innovation, as well as keep the long-standing cooperation it has with both nations, individually.

In tandem with its efforts in the Tselmegian Enclaves of Candain, Brennus and Distan, the Dze would send to the Taichang Empress of Ryuvir a report with the equipment they were going to gift to the Xing army, mostly it's fleet of spare VBC-10R IFVs, of which there were 100+ being sent as the model was being replaced by a modernized, local variant, however a slew of other vehicles, such as SPGs, CRVs, LRVs, APCs, amounting to 175-250 vehicles, would be donated; being renovated and modernized previous to delivery, and outfitted for combat before donating, they would be accompanied with tens of thousands of shells and gallons of fuel, as well as a crew of training specialists and observers to help the Xing how to properly use these machines to continue the pummeling of Hong forces, though secretly doing this to get their troops home fast, for the most part, as the war had proven to get stagnant, with Dzeii forces there being mostly in the defensive for now.

Lastly, an effort would be made to re-kindle relations with the Kingdom of Kuracha Kanlant, even if they were struggling to hold full control of their nation, both to compliment the solingarchi presence with a friendly force, and to begin a more building a proper diplomatic hold on its own continent, seeing as many nations within it were unable to resist foreign pressures, it would be decided by the Dze that, perhaps, it was worth the shot trying to help them out on this regard.

In the wake of this mostly quiet meeting, Frigate VSA Silvaria would be deployed to the seas, passing between Ambehvtisi'i and Afihvtisi'i waters on the way to the The Ansalonian States coast, in order to secure increasing Sodorhvtisi'i influence should the Ambehvtisi'i press for Sodor to move facilities while still maintaining large scale operating capacity in the area.

In the meantime, an official complaint would be filed both in Baltocarpathia and Amberleaf, citing cultural connections and cooperation with the Estonian people and government, the large costs in the establishment of the facility, the Sodorhvtisi'i participation in the liberation of Estonia and Baltocarpathia from the oppression of the former government and the economic benefits provided by the facility as to reasons why Sodor should not be forced to exit such a facility based on a clause deployed years after establishment. As a compromise, Baltocarpathian observers would be welcome to visit the facilities periodically unwarned.

RP: A Ship on the Horizon

It was a quiet early morning at the lighthouse. Not much activity on land nor at sea. The young Anolosi guard sat at his desk drinking a cup of coffee. His night shift was nearing an end, after which he could finally go home and get his long deserved sleep. The peacefulness of this average morning was soon interrupted, however, by a loud beeping as a red dot appeared on his radar. An unknown vessel was treading into Ansalonian waters, something new for this young employee, something fairly rare for this quiet outpost on the north Anolosi coast. Following his training, the man picked up a microphone, and turned on the radio transmitter of the tower. A message was then sent to the ship appearing in the horizon.

"You are reaching Ansalonian waters. State where you hail from, and your intended business with the Ansalonian Federation."

RP: A New Order

Few regions in Kalrania share familiar religious fervor to the many peoples of Ansalonia. Despite dubious religious unity at best, nearly all within the federation adhere to a faith, with many holding immense attachment to their religion. In the north reside immense Catholic majorities, people particularly adamant regarding the advancement of their faith. Among the most Catholic nations are Öslend, Hoschestan, Ilmenia, Slavalstavia, and Canalia. Due to Öslender control over Ansalonia during the monarchy, and the continued sizable political presence of the state within the current federation, Catholicism has spread far and wide throughout the federation, with significant minorities in many southern states such as Anolos and Vialskeya. Second to Catholicism in the federation is Eastern Orthodoxy, another denomination of Christianity. While not as major of a force as Catholicism, the religion is still very entrenched in many southern states within the federation such as Celgestia, Makil, Anolos, Vialskeya, and Sordesia. Despite the vast majority of Ansalonians adhering to these two faiths, a significant minority also practice Islam, the third largest religion in the country. While the only states in the federation with Muslim majorities are Bianalia and Serogove, large Muslim minority groups also exist in Makil, Sordesia, and Vialskeya. While this religious disunity has historically lead to much infighting amongst the different nations within Ansalonia, in modern times these different religious groups live in relative harmony due to Ansalonia's currently lengthy period of unity.

With the popularity of magic reaching new highs, however, many of these religious groups have begun exploring how the field ties into their own religion. Despite having aided in oppressing those working in the field in the past, the current situation regarding magic has lead to many realizing that the field must be accepted. Many Catholics have also noticed the need for an authority in the field, believing that unregulated magic will lead to chaos within the federation, and therefore began organizing a new religious order designed specifically to further Catholicism in the field of magic and aid in regulating the field as it growths further entrenched in the culture of the Ansalonian Federation. This new order, known as the Order of Praeditus Magicae, has established a headquarters in Ven, a current stronghold of Catholicism, where they have begun using both their proximity to the Ven Institute of Magical Studies and the government of the federation to their advantage. The order has quickly gained adherents within the school, and supporters within the Federation's legislature, allowing them to guide the usage of magic within the federation to be more in-line with Christian values.

With the founding of this new Catholic order, many adherents to Orthodoxy and Islam are pressing for the foundation of Magical orders of their own, ensuring their religions remain represented in this rapidly growing field. Muslims in particular have become most adamant in supporting this, and it is expected an Islamic magical order may also develop within the next few months, most likely in the majority Muslim state of Bianalia.

With the expansion of religious institutions into the field of magic, it seems the usage of the field will drastically change throughout the federation in the coming years. Fields traditionally looked down upon by the religious, such as Necromancy, may start seeing significantly less exploration compared to other fields more in line with these religious beliefs, particularly restorative magic. In time, it will be seen how this influences the many people of the federation. Particularly the Cxurunists, a group of people the church shows particular hostility towards.

Agusha, Mandara Province, 2009
The report had various images captured of Otykenese government delegates shaking hands with the locals and airplanes with government destinations at their airport, followed by satellite pictures of mines and heavily censored images of atrocities pulled from the web.

Otyken has been making moves in old colonial countries, perhaps late to the show, but they've set their sites on emerald profits and have been known to horde them. Instead of going through more 'proper channels' paramilitary groups made contact with Baron Sefu in the jungles of Mandara, they've been dormant for half a decade now due to lack of funds sustained primarily by some small scale emerald mines, but Otyken gave them rocket launchers, guns, grenades, a hell of alot of ammo and within a few weeks they had gone on a killing spree taking control of mines, resources, and people. Law enforcement and government security forces are on edge as the money flows and corruption could undermine their operations to stop Baron Sefu now known as The Emerald King.

Years ago the country of Agusha tried to democratize, and they did to a certain extent, but various revolutions in the 80s and 90s led to them having a dominant Socialist government their president for life Kwame Mwita has put up a bounty for the Emerald King, stating that the execution of this criminal is essential to protect the revolution and the corruption of capitalism runs deep with loyalties in high places being bought. The Emerald King's goons go by the Mandara Marauders, many of them had fought in the jungles during the revolutionary wars, but not as the years drew on they've been replaced by the younger generation and have become ruthless criminals.

Being an old colony they are slightly more warm to intervention, but it is important to note that a wild card of a foreign state actor could rapidly turn tides with funding and special training.

Satellite images of Mandara province zoom in box some areas and enlarge them, the locals have been keeping tabs on them for years and security forces conducted numerous fly overs, some agents had also infiltrated their ranks, so we aren't going in blind.

Hideouts
Kivuli Emerald Mine: A vast open-pit mine known for its rare eneralds, now abandoned and used as a hideout by the Marauders it was their main source of income until it ran dry. It has some sort of symbolic connection to them.
Mwanga Ruby Quarry: A series of deep tunnels and caves in the heart of the jungle, where the rarest rubies were once extracted now used for stockpiling and smuggling.
Fort Mzizi: An old colonial fortress overtaken by vegetation, serving as the Marauders' stronghold.
Boma la Wafu: Translating to "House of the Dead," this is a network of underground bunkers and tunnels used for covert operations, it also has ancient catacombs and other tomb features.

Active Mines
Sokoni Emerald Mine: Hidden deep in the Mandara jungle, this mine is notorious for its harsh conditions and forced labor practices. It's heavily guarded by the Marauders and the largest source of income.
Dhahabu Shaft: An extensive network of Emerald mines where workers are subjected to brutal conditions. Liberation of these mines could disrupt the Emerald King's funding greatly, but they are deep in his territory.
Mawe Mgumu Quarry: A large stone quarry where the Marauders force local villagers to work. It's rumored to be a front for an underground weapons and supply cache.

Geographical Features
Kijito Wind Pass: A narrow pass through the Mtindo Mountains, providing a strategic route for smuggling people, weapons, and troop movements.
Mandara Marshlands: A treacherous wetland area used by the Marauders to evade capture. It's said to hide the entrances to several illicit mines or connect to Boma la Wafu. It seems insignificant strange that the intelligence report even mentioned it.
Mtindo Mountains: A treacherous mountain range with hidden valleys, providing strategic vantage points over a major highway often used for raids and stashing vehicles and fuel in the valleys. Highway 223 is critical for the region.
Maji ya Dhahabu River: A winding river with gold flecks in its waters that allows passage through the jungle on river boats it's now totally controlled by the Marauders which cuts many villages off from supplies and Medicine.
Nyika Plateau: A vast, elevated flatland that becomes a natural fortress with only a few access points. Used as an aircraft site by the Mauraders, also good for insertion, likely Otyken performs air drops here of supply containers without this site they would have to use the river or highway and have a higher risk of being betrayed.

Important Locations
Mji wa Dhahabu: An old mining town turned into a bartering spot for black market deals rival factions here set aside their differences it's a tough place.
Kambi ya Simba: A former wildlife reserve camp, now a training ground for the Marauders' elite forces.
Uwanja wa Mapambano: An open field that serves as a battleground for territorial disputes between rival factions the place is said to be cursed by the locals as it has had shootouts occur here since he 1700s, putting the crackle of gun fire to rest would be something.

What shall it be first?
If you want to meet with any officials that can be arranged. The reward For the Emerald Kings head is 30 million and a stake in the emerald mines once they return to the people.

RP: Old Ties
Agusha, once labeled as the Protectorate ld Agusha under direct Brennian colonial rule well back into the 1800s had forever been a point of contention related to Brennian foreign policy. It was of the majority opinion that Brennus should stay out, as intense anti-colonial sentiments had taken hold after the old monarchy had been deposed. This eventually filtered into the pseudo-isolationist policy of modern Brennian politics, which had recently been forcefully abolished due to tensions with the Technate. Though they had been slow and hesitant to cozy up to many nations thus far outside of the Dze and the Swiss, recent developments in their old holdings were starting to make many believe their hand was being forced. Recent satellite image gathering had revealed several mines, horrid atrocities and evidence of such atrocities such as mass grave sites along with an intelligence report of Otykenese involvement within the area.

Though the populace was withheld from the more sensitive parts of these reports, news broadcasters quickly picked up stories of horrid sentient rights abuses and had not hesitated to make such a story public. Outrage and protests ensued, showing that tension with the Technate had significantly moved the populace to an increasingly prevalent interventionist school of thought. Many said Brennus was still un-absolved of their old colonial crimes, and that refusing to right a wrong such as this would only prove the revolution was for naught, and that the Republic had barely changed from their old monarchic predecessors. Simple observation made the writing on the wall more than clear enough, the government would have to do at least something. Even more so to prevent Technate influence from spreading any farther than it already had. As such, in a public address to the nation, the Prime Minister delivered a speech announcing several official operations in collaboration with the Agushan government. These were all aid or peacekeeping/intervention operations along with the insertion of several IIA intelligence elements to start counteracting Technate influence.

Of course, their intentions were not all noble and it was clear from the start a change in leadership was badly needed within the country. To this end, the IIA were to begin planting the seeds for a deposition of the authoritarian socialist government in favor of a well managed, democratic system. This step in the plan would come well after the Emerald King had been dethroned, with the troops involved in that campaign to swing around and assist in the deposition once the trap had been sprung. It was hoped that by the time the socialists had noticed, it would all be far too late, and the popular uprising would be far too large to contain. It would require careful work, and involved turning the government in on itself. Of course, all old socialist leaders would either be killed or imprisoned by the end of it all, and another friendly nation would be secured in the ongoing campaign for Technate containment.

MEU’s will be transported via 2 Amphibious Warfare Ships with appropriate tenders and frigate escort. Will come ashore at a friendly port and will move to designated muster points in preparation for operations. The 11th MEU’s first objective will be to seize the Kivuli Emerald Mine and establish an FOB. Unit will hold until given further orders and will collaborate with local government military units to finalize control over the area. The 13th MEU will move to a muster point and conduct extensive reconnaissance of Mawe Mgumu Quarry. Civilian presence is likely to be high, and attempts at liberation will likely be a night operation. Objectives at the Quarry include liberation of indentured civilians, destruction of supply caches and establishment of blocking posts to cut off this route of the illegal weapons trade.

[1er RPIMa:]
- 865 Personnel
- Reinforced with light tactical vehicles for mobility

The 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment will be responsible for primarily blocking and raiding operations after the establishment of the Kivuli Mine FOB. Will be responsible for small unit raiding operations around the frontlines but will be primarily and most heavily involved with the Kijito Wind Pass. Taking this pass or moving through it at this time may be as good as suicide due to its narrow nature and high level of syndicate control. Thus, the 1er RPIMa will be responsible for making this route too dangerous for continued, regular illicit travel. It is a strategic location for movement of troops, supplies, weapons and anything else you can think of and must be shut down if we are to end their reign of terror in good time. Constant recon will be provided by drone flyovers and boots-on-the-ground teams. Raiding parties are free to engage any and all confirmed targets with extreme prejudice.

Options for armament would also be concluded, with rights for licensed production being offered for a few.

[RP - Prelude to the Offensive]

By this point, the War against the Hong has turned into an uneventful stalemate- while the Hong had not made any new territorial gains, their footing remained firm even despite the departing of their God and his unholy omens. In the ground, troops were dug into trenches- the fields between the opposing sides rendered barren by incessant bombardment and littered with the carcasses of machinery and flesh. This is where the war is now mostly fought, the previous expectations of a quick victory were shattered, as although the dastardly Hong were brainwashed with their souls sold to the abyss, they were still well-endowed with martial prowess- enough so to force a muddy stalemate upon an opponent considered to be superior in every tangible way.

Quality of life in the civil realm was back to normal in the areas governed by the Xing, though sumptuary laws remain in place to make efficient use out of a limited food supply. People had gotten used to the war, no longer dominating news headlines- and the existential threat it once posed was now largely replaced with indifference; It was at least until it hits home, when news of a son, father, or brother fallen between the trenches reaches his family. The war never loses its mark as a tragedy.

The higher ups- mandarins, the Imperial Cabinet and all under it had their displeasures to express regarding the prolonged war- it continues to disrupt industry, discourage trade, and incur significant numbers of deaths every day. The War needed a decisive offensive at once, to crush the Hong with one swift strike- as the piecemeal approach to this war had grown far too expensive. So the Military at once rallied all of their available materiel preparing for this year's offensive.

Location: Port Zalika, Mandara Province, Agusha
Selected Objective: Kivuli Emerald Mine

It was not a short trip, but they would arrive at Port Zalika, one of the smaller cities located on the coast of Mandara; fishing boats were rocking in the azure water tossed by the waves, and the locals saw these warships go into port, and start unloading gear. Local Police and Security forces had been dispatched to shove the citizens off; some had started getting rowdy seeing soldiers arriving from another country, and others watched. It was warm, sunny, and very humid; the city was rundown and old but strangely nostalgic; perhaps the ancestors of some of these soldiers had set foot here at different times. Police would assist at clearing roads so they could move unimpeded, the king most certainly knew of his arrival having informants watching the troopers from buildings and others were holding assault rifles in broad daylight. The government gave them some of the finest parking lots and storehouses to utilize for muster points, all of which had easy access to the highway that led into the afflicted region, and some river launch zones had bums cleared out by the police.

Highway 223
The Journey to Kivuli Emerald Mine

As the 11th moved down in mechanized vehicles headed for the mines, they would need to pass through Mtindo Mountains, a good place to test the waters as it was a known operational zone of the Emerald Kings goons. The highway was loaded with old cars; the military vehicles could see guys on the side of the highway with 'police' uniforms walking around with assault rifles. It was nighttime; occasionally, people on the mountains would appear on thermals, snipers, spotters and others. They would soon see construction signs that had been set up, and the marauders had flood lights on going from car to car, ripping the door open and hauling people out to rob them, then directing them down a detour which looked less than welcoming. Some had rocket launchers and the area most certainly had roadside bombs, any vehicles of value got directed to the 'off ramp' particularly 18-wheelers or transports which could support their operation.

As they went through the queue at night, the floodlights would illuminate these army vehicles. Some were shouting, and some broke into a run; they waved some cars off and started blocking the escape with razor wire, nail boards, and whatever else they could find. Someone didn't move, and there were gunshots. Concrete barriers blocked the highway ahead, there was the off ramp as an option which only had a crappy wooden gate, the concrete barriers had two mounted machine guns and there were marauders all over the place with rifles scrambling to get roadside bombs and rocket launchers in to take down these army vehicles. Time to party.

INT: Mawe Mgumu Quarry
Meanwhile.... drones would be able to provide more ample and up-to-date data on the quarry: The area had been fenced off with patrols of soldiers, there were big crates covered in tarps loaded with weapons and guards shoving along people to move cargo and sort it, the weapons cache was huge and abnormal for what a warlord would be able to gather, so much so realistically there was even some unknown brand of cruise missiles in stacks, vehicles with tarps over them and small bases set up with bombs and other gear, people could be seen carrying containers into tunnels with marauders shoving them along with their guns.

High Commissioner Teara Umbra of Glóavið would also have a meeting with Honulite Director of Foreign Relations Elena. Teara would be most welcoming to the idea of cooperation in science projects. They would also agree in allowing visas for education tourism, and business to Glóavið. While not thrilled a small section of the foreign dock access would be rented out to the Technate for conducting anti-piracy activities. These would be closely watched of the coming and going of Technate assets. The mana springs water from Glóavið Minor would be allowed to exit the enclave for trading with the Honulite nation. Till it was decided what form would be best suited for their use an example of raw and superior refined versions would be shipped to them.

High Commissioner Rigona Kita of Owlet would receive the Honalulu’s Ambassador Ano Miliani but wasn't as willing as the other enclaves to open up their doors to the Southerns. Temporary visas for tourism and business would be allowed but anything more permanent such as military bases or questionable foreign business would be denied. It would seem Owlet maybe under the influence of another party at this time and doesn't want to commit to anything that would spark another war in the region.

•Both the Owlet and Glóavið enclaves would be more then welcome to open up trade and better relations with the nation of Dze Tribes knowing that a large part of their own kin operate within their borders. While Glóavið seemed a bit more wary on an military alliance Owlet would be much more willing on such an idea.

RP: Highway Blues
A line of Brennian mechanized vehicles was sure to be a sight for any Agushan in the city or along the aird highway they now traveled. Despite the mixed welcome they received every soldier felt unwelcome, a tension in the air that refused to let up as they went. IFV Commanders were turned in to their vehicles, enjoying the view of the outside world through turret mounted DAS systems, while APC commanders were turned out and staying low, IVAS goggles piercing the night sprawled out before them. Their column was purely combative, with logistics vehicles and materials left at the port to facilitate a less risky initial attack under close guard of extra marine and navy personnel. Though most of the journey had been uneventful the column had come to a traffic jam that left them a little too close together, and soon the convoy had reversed back apart with thankfully little behind them. IED jammers and APS systems quickly spooled up along the convoy as the troops realized the kind of situation they had been funneled into. Though air or heavy support anywhere along the highway was completely out of the question, anything slinking through the mountains was fair game.

The off ramp was too exposed to side shots for it to be of any use to the convoy at the current moment, but the concrete barriers looked easy enough to blow apart with a few charges, and they would need to clear the area out anyhow. There was little time to think as the enemy had already begun to move, clearly intent on attempting to engage the 11th. Though they were horribly outnumbered, the Brennians could not bring every gun to bear for several very good reasons, and were thus limited in their engagement options. Back doors on APCs opened quickly and the infantry inside prepared to move on the signal of the front IFV opening fire. With most of the front road being cleared in front of them both sides had open arcs of fire towards each other, which meant the only real cover were vehicles and the defensive structures of the checkpoint.

The lead IFV, jammers on, moved diagonally across the road as its turret tracked to the concrete barriers and let loose with its coaxial GPMG, peppering the forward positions with 1200 rounds a minute of 6.8x51mm bullets, killing or suppressing their operators as the infantry spilled forward. Two more vehicles, both APCs moved forward to fill the gap and provide a barrier for return fire, adding their RWS mounts to the chorus of medium machine gun fire. Roadside bombs already present around the convoy refused to go off, much to the chagrin and confusion as any radio or cell controlled detonators failed to get through to receivers. Infantry protected their armored support by prioritizing any target they could see with anything larger than a rifle, keeping the RPG gunners preoccupied not getting shot to bits before they could get a chance to fire off.

The powder keg was lit.

[INT REPORT: MAWE MGUMU QUARRY]
Preoperative reconnaissance has revealed significant buildup around the quarry. Safe to assume it is well fortified and defended. Civilians confirmed in AO although specific numbers have not been confirmed, nor have living quarters of any kind. Drone observation of patrol routes and timing will continue until a full picture can be gained. Extremely large weapons cache confirmed, the Emerald King’s forces seem unusually well equipped, out of state actors likely involved. Cruise missile presence confirmed, type unknown, poses threat to naval assets and has been marked as priority number one in destruction. Surveillance will continue, structures of interest include vehicle yards, fuel reserves, and captive civilian housing. Destruction via air strike is no longer viable, make, model, and origin of weapons critical to ongoing mission success. Ground teams will assault and secure the AO, identify cached weapons, collect pictographic evidence and proceed to detonate ammo stores and other strategic targets via explosive charges from Engineering units.

SODOR BECOMES THE SDC'S 6TH MEMBER ~

Sodor and Seljaryskk has become the newest member of the Southern Defense Confederation as of November 7th, 2010 with a unanimous 5-0 vote between all alliance members. The Sodorhvtisi'i flag was raised in Goventry today alongside the other 5 member nations, and has agreed to abide to the alliance charter with their signature. Nonadian President Furman said, "This has brought us one step closer towards peace and prosperity between all Vesperian nations. The Sodorhvtisi'i will now have the benefit of guaranteed defense, economic interconnection, and greater movement between citizens with all Vesperian nations. The alliance is more secure than ever and ready to defend our interests abroad."

YOUR NEW SUMMER VACATION SPOT: NEUERSTAAT ~

With the introduction of "Nonstown,” Nonadian tourists were able to find a place to feel at home without actually being home. There was no better way to experience the summer than staying at an exceptionally stereotypical tourist town built just for your culture and then visiting a completely foreign city. The Neuerstaat tourism industry felt the boom of a huge influx of Nonadians that wanted a taste of both their home country and Wächterstadt. The annoyance of Nonadians critiquing the food choices was covered by the amount of money that these restaurants and hotels were making from them, as the food tasted just foreign enough to be good to them while being an inherited taste.

The Nonadian government, however, also wanted a slice in this exploding industry. The Department of Tourism began to place ads around Nonstown convincing Neuerstaatans that this town was only a taste of what it would feel like to visit the unique geography and culture of Nonadia. A city block of Monrovia would be turned into a place for Neuerstaat food, culture, and architecture to entice Neuerstaatans to visit. This relatively small area would incentivize Nonadians to visit Neuerstaat and vice versa. The Nonadian and Neuerstaatan tourist industries had begun to interconnect themselves with a profitable feedback loop between both nations and their cultures.

The Neushvtisi'i ships, located by the Viipatsira only when they were actually visible due to the lack of radar signature the ships emitted, were quite a sight to the modern amphibious force. After all, it wasn't like they'd actually encountered such a ship force before, so it was a novelty of the highest order, and one that will likely be a highly popular encounter to speak about in times afterwards.

For the moment, though, the main thought was of just why there was a wooden ship attempting to interdict the task force. Even if it was an active combat craft, which seemed to be almost impossible. After all, what self respecting nation would still be using wooden ships in this day and age? For the moment, the normal assumption, that this ship was operating not modern guns but cannon, seemed appropriate, and aboard the Amphibious Transport Dock the Commodore, newly promoted, began giving out orders.

Rough Translation
"Play gentle. I know we should be able to beat them even without escort, but for the moment play nice. Buzz them, let them know we have aircraft but don't cause stuff. I don't want an international incident."

Orders which led to a VTAI-9 (V-22 rebranded) buzzing the Pamlico, circling it several times even as the small force continued to mve forward, each ship making course corrections as not to steer too close to the wooden ship and risk issue.

The small party on the shore, meanwhile, would see the skiffs approaching with relative calm. After all, the men aboard didn't exactly look like an issue, and there was little harm in shouting back.

"We're fine thank you! Our pickup should be arriving shortly, but if you do want to come ashore I'm sure we can get you something to eat for your time."

RP:
Captain Elloree accepted the offer from the Sodorhvtisi’i, saying: “I’ll accept your offer, though I am not particular hungry I could use some conversation.” And with that they began to row to the shore, jumping into the surf and pushing the wooden boats ashore alongside the Sodorhvtisi’i camp.

Meanwhile back aboard the Pamlico the VTAI-9 caused quite a stir, the low flying aircraft causing mayhem on deck of the ship as crewmen initial went for cover at the sight of the oncoming aircraft, only to stand again once they realized the aircraft posed no immediate harm. Commodore Wheeling was not as startled as the crew, but he also was not happy. The tools of the Sodorhvtisi’i were unknown to him, and posed a considerable risk to his crew and ship. However, with his 2nd command still with the Sodorhvtisi’i ashore and orders to make contact with the stricken crew he decided to hold his position.

RP: Lefors Massacre
The flame of a thousand torches lit up the evening sky. Atop a ridge thousands of riders had gathered to inflict a fatal blow upon those who had taken everything from them. Three hundred years of grievances, three hundred years of slaughter, enslavement, and destruction. Their homeland was lost forever, but the invaders will have no solace with their spoils. The thunder of a thousand hooves lifted the ground, a deafening thunder rolled into the valley. There was no resistance. The world shattered in the blink of an eye. Every structure of the frontier village became a towering inferno, the wide streets a labyrinth of hell. Smoke masked the face of death which rode between the rows of buildings, cutting down those who tried escaping the inferno.

Fort Mclean, Unorganized Territories, Neuse
Around midday on the 3rd of the month our forces stationed at Fort Mclean in the Unorganized Territories received a band of 21 refugees heading South along the Sissipahaw Highway. The group consisted of 11 women, 3 children, and 7 men. Reports from the survivors claim the frontier settlement of Lefors had been attacked by the Pahaw. The group claims the entire settlement to be destroyed, at least 300 dead. Though unverified at the moment, their claims are likely to be true.” — William Childress, Commander of the Garrison at Fort Mclean to commanding Colonel Claude Ashtola. The excerpt above was first published in the Toxaway Tribune, before being picked up by publications from Peletier to Lenoxville; within a week the whole nation had heard of the slaughter. It was not long before calls for action reached Rodanthe, where Governor Tryon prepared to address the Assembly. In a short but poignant speech the Governor swore vengeance unto the Pahaw, swearing the destruction of the warband responsible for the massacre.

The Great Cargo Airship
Det Norske Luftfartselskap, a Vikan aircraft manufacturer, began development of what they refer to as the “Great Cargo Airship”. The design was an advanced, heavyweight, massive aircraft utilizing six high-bypass turbofan jet engines mounted underneath a sprawling highwing frame. The front of the aircraft would be able to open into a massive cargohold that can carry 335,000kg (782,641 lbs) using Alpha Motors AM970-84-CE Turbofan engines. The plane would have an estimated range of 15,400 km (9,600 mi). It should be noted that it has a max fuel load of 600,000 pounds, meaning at max fuel load, the aircraft only has a little less than 200,000 pounds of carrying capacity.

Operation Faith was a simple smash-n-grab information effort and the knowledge gathered confirmed the sneaking suspicions that the Vikan government and ViFIC had. The agents would be recalled home to minimize risk of being exposed, especially so shortly after diplomatic negotiations.

Rykensvik had quietly confirmed that Kulkkistan was not the free nation that its diplomat had claimed it to be. It was led by a theocratic autocrat who demanded absolute subservience through faith. Furthermore, ViFIC had discovered traces of something known as the June Massacre which may explain why they could not make contact with any underground resistance. As such, Rykensvik will maintain a very vigilant watchful eye on Kulkkistan for any sign of anti-democratic tampering on the international scene.

Watching Prolekult
It wouldn’t take long for word of the Prolekult situation to spread within the Vikan government as it would hear about it through communications with Amberleaf, and Solingarch. The brewing conflict there was much too far away for Rykensvik to involve itself with. Furthermore, it is a nation that it has had no chatter with previously nor has it been invited to participate by another nation. Rykensvik will simply be keeping an eye on the situation.

Trading Seibalath
The offer for trade was accepted by the Office of Foreign Affairs.

Diplomacy with Nonadia
The diplomatic meeting with the Nonadian representatives was a success with the formalization of several diplomatic agreements, a Non-Aggression Pact, establishment of embassies, and the opening of trade for economic growth.

Seeing as their long standing relationship with the Dze had turned out to be one of extreme value, the received proposal did not take long to be accepted. Several airframe options were available to the Dze with the marked exception of one, and options for development of native systems wide open for the land, air, or sea. Options for armament would also be concluded, with rights for licensed production being offered for a few.

The Tsotʻaan himself would travel to the Owlet Enclave to innaugurate the alliance with the nation and drafts for the industrial cooperation and trade deals would be made and presented to the respective High Commissioners. The Ivery Conference and a Northern Alliance
Dze Tribes

The Ivery Conference, hosted in the city of the same name, was altogether fairly productive. Discussion on the topic of a Northern Alliance and a Northern Union would have its hiccups, but overall would go fairly smoothly and easily.

The Conference would end after about a week, with delegations hosted for a second week in top-tier hotels in the city before being dismissed.

From the Conference, a draft for a proper “Northern Alliance” Charter would be made - titled the Ivery Charter as a very creative name. This charter, while not yet formalized or signed, would outline a number of terms and conditions for the Alliance at large.

A copy of the Ivery Charter would be sent to each nation which had shown up at the Ivery Conference, to be signed if agreeable or disregarded if not.

Having left an alliance barely a year prior, the Dze were at first hesitant to join a new one; the Tsotʻaan, in fact, would hear nothing of it for the first day, though he would be swayed by his Ministrix to, at least, look at the proposal. Absently skimming through it, as he did with much of the nation's diplomatic affairs, he would send it to the Ministrix to approve, which she would, sensing in this, and the deals she struck with the Sprite enclaves to their south, the chance to pull the nation out of the economic recession it was finding itself in.

Becoming a founding state, Dzeia would gladly sign most of the charter's points, however it would strike a deal to reject Article 3, section 1, on the basis of it being against core Dzeii Laws, and would also strike for a deal to keep the Moł̣uł for a period of 10 years, with a fixed exchange rate of ¥1:₼1.15 with the newly formed Northern Yen, to more easily integrate the Dzeii economy to that of the broader northern union. Conviniently, the nation would absolutely ignore Article six, feeling that the formation of a superstate was both unnecessarily bureaucratic, as well as ridding the Confederation of its diplomatic independence and reputation, two things it very much valued.
