[RP - Prelude to the Offensive]

By this point, the War against the Hong has turned into an uneventful stalemate- while the Hong had not made any new territorial gains, their footing remained firm even despite the departing of their God and his unholy omens. In the ground, troops were dug into trenches- the fields between the opposing sides rendered barren by incessant bombardment and littered with the carcasses of machinery and flesh. This is where the war is now mostly fought, the previous expectations of a quick victory were shattered, as although the dastardly Hong were brainwashed with their souls sold to the abyss, they were still well-endowed with martial prowess- enough so to force a muddy stalemate upon an opponent considered to be superior in every tangible way.

Quality of life in the civil realm was back to normal in the areas governed by the Xing, though sumptuary laws remain in place to make efficient use out of a limited food supply. People had gotten used to the war, no longer dominating news headlines- and the existential threat it once posed was now largely replaced with indifference; It was at least until it hits home, when news of a son, father, or brother fallen between the trenches reaches his family. The war never loses its mark as a tragedy.

The higher ups- mandarins, the Imperial Cabinet and all under it had their displeasures to express regarding the prolonged war- it continues to disrupt industry, discourage trade, and incur significant numbers of deaths every day. The War needed a decisive offensive at once, to crush the Hong with one swift strike- as the piecemeal approach to this war had grown far too expensive. So the Military at once rallied all of their available materiel preparing for this year's offensive.

[RP - Dissolution of the REK]

Solingarch
Dze Tribes
Kemonomica

The dissolution of the Radiant Entente of Kalrania to many; simply heralded the establishment of something greater- proven by the copies sent from Ivery, by the nation of Solingarch. Charters of the Northern Alliance; its scope more ambitious than the previous REK. Although the premise was appealing from a cosmopolitan perspective, the Empyrea had been preoccupied with domestic issues to definitively consider giving the draft the Seal of the Forbidden City. The Honoluans and their propositions were also heard, but would be given the exact response as the Dze had to them.
