            Councils Reinstated
Dismissal of Casey, South Gippsland, and Whittlesea Councils Reversed
            November 24th

Local Government Areas (LGAs) Casey, South Gippsland, and Whittlesea had all been dismissed in 2019 by Victorian then-Minister for Local Government Adem Somyurek for corruption and misconduct. The City of Casey in Melbourne's south east was dismissed after two councillors were found accepting bags of cash for political favours. South Gippsland Shire in far south east Victoria was dismissed after misconduct including bullying and abusing positions from multiple councillors. The City of Whittlesea in Melbourne's outer north had severe reports of abuse and bullying from it's councillors.

However, Somyurek (rather ironically in the case of the City of Casey) was dismissed in early-mid 2020 for branch stacking. More specifically, Somyurek was found threatening other Labor politicans and factional rivials, and was including the names of deceased and non-existent citizens on his ballot for his position representing South Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne in the Victorian Legislative Council.

These three councils were doomed to be without a council until October 2024. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has replaced Somyurek with MP Danny Pearson (representing Essendon in the Legislative Assembly). Pearson announced at the start of the year that these councils would be reinstated, and recently will fulfill that promise by allowing the councils to have elections 3 years earlier than anticipated; 2021 instead of 2024.

CITY OF CASEY

$100,000 was given to councillor Sam Aziz and $80,000 was given to councillor Greg Ablett in 2019 and 2014 respectively. Developer John Woodman paid both men in physical cash, with Aziz being handed the money in grocery bags and suitcases. Woodman bribed the councillors to change a proposed industrial estate into a residential estate. When an ICAC report was heard back in 2019, Councillors Timothy Jackson and Rex Flannery both resigned. Meanwhile, Aziz fled to Egypt to escape charges, and hasn't returned to Australia since. Somyurek doomed the City to be without a council until 2024 after the investigation.

The City of Casey will have it's local goverment elections on the 4th of December. Aziz and Ablett are banned from running. The City of Casey's first meeting will take place on Wednesday 8th of December at the council offices at Bunjil Place, Narre Warren.

South Gippsland Shire

Councillor Jeremy Rich was dismissed by Somyurek after 21kg of cocaine was found on Rich's farm. Andrew McEwen was found to be abusing his position as councillor after providing a resident with information against the council during a Supreme Court case against the shire. The rest of the council was investigated after these incidents, and it was found the council had 'high level[s] of tension, discord and conflict.' Six councillors (including Rich and McEwen) resigned from the council due to these conflicts which often spilled out onto the wider council staff (not just councillors)

South Gippsland Shire will have it's local government election on the 11th of December. McEwen and Rich are banned from running, and much of the old council was given one warning to 'sort out the issues the council had before' or face being dismissed and banned from re-election. South Gippsland Shire's first meeting will take place on Wednesday 15th of December at the council offices in Leongatha.

City of Whittlesea

A three month investigation into Whittlesea council saw problems not unlike those faced by South Gippsland Shire. The investigation found 'a culture of infighting and division and internal bickering, which has led to the total collapse of governance by the Councillors and Council of the Whittlesea City Council.' The City of Whittlesea had spent $500,000 of ratepayer money on their individual legal disputes, including Ricky Kirkham who had recieved multiple reports of serious misconduct.

The City of Whittlesea will have it's local government election on the 11th of December. All councillors from 2016 are banned from running. The City of Whittlesea's first meeting will take place on Wednesday 15th of December at the council offices at the Plenty Valley Art and Convention Centre, South Morang.

Scott Morrison and Meral Akşener meet in Western Australia
            November 26th

Australia and Turkey have had a complicated history, but Turkish President Meral Akşener and Australian President Scott Morrison are ready to turn over a new leaf. Relations took a hit after AKP Leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan threatened to send Australians making the pilgrimage to Gallipoli 'in their coffins like their grandfathers.' However, President Akşener has been looking to open up a new, better chapter in Australian relations for quite some time.

Morrison has also looked forward to bettering relations with the Middle Eastern* country, stating that 'Australia and Turkey have more in common than they think.' The inital meeting of Akşener and Morrison will take place at the National Anzac Centre in Albany, Western Australia, where 38 ships left for Gallipoli in 1914. 'Gallipoli was a defining moment for both nations. For Australia, we proved that we were so much more than a former British colony. For Turkey, it gave them Atatürk and eventually self-determination. However, it also saw thousands of deaths on both sides. The Turkish and the Australians both suffered as much as they benefited. Given our history, I think that [the NAC] is the perfect place to meet, to reconcile with our past, and to look to our future.'

Akşener will also address federal parliament in Albury some time next week before the end of the parliamentary year. She will become the first Middle Eastern* head of state to address Australian parliament.

The United Republics of Central Asia had survived to this point precisely by remaining neutral in terms of its foreign relations; since its establishment in 1992, the nation has not clearly sided with either the Russian and Chinese-led east or the U.S.-led west. If it sided with either one, the country would be headed for certain doom and chaos. This perception, however, began changing in 2015 when, following the Poppy Revolution and the implementation of a democratic government, the Central Asian Armed Forces (CAAF) began increasing its spending and capabilities, to further expand the security of the Central Asian republics and ensure peace along the nation's borders. By 2017, the newly expanded Central Asian military had expanded to over 520,000 active personnel with a reserve force of about 220,000. Equipped with fairly modern equipment and led by a charismatic new president, the nation was now confident enough to choose a side - if ever, of course.

Down to Aktau | Вниз до Актау

    | Military Outpost Aktau, Mangystau Region, Kazakh Federal Republic, United Republics of Central Asia

The seaport of Aktau serves as one of the key conduits for trade in and out of Central Asia. Although the port is primarily used to trade with the Russians and Iranians, projects during the 2010s to expand the city to include an upgraded international airport and a new business sector boosted it to become one of the country's most modern cities, with a quality of life rating higher than most of the country. Besides from being a top trading hub for the country, it is also a strategically positioned military base which contains the country's only naval fleet. Naval Station Aktau was established in 1993 and was immediately manned by the 203rd Guards' Naval Infantry Brigade, which continues to man the base to this day. In 2018 the 19th Guards' Battalion was also stationed there.

Today, President Askar Mamin and Defense Minister Nurlan Yermekbayev visited Military Outpost Aktau, the ground forces portion of the wider Aktau Defense Complex. The President and company were greeted by a military parade conducted by the 850-man 19th Guards' Battalion. The commanding officers of the 19th Guards' and the 203rd Guards' Naval Infantry met with the President and Yermekbayev and held a public press conference together, where President Mamin praised the evolution of the Central Asian military and stated that the country will 'forevermore seek to continue to adapt its military to the geopolitical conditions of our planet'. Following inspections of the naval warships and the armored vehicles stationed there, the president exited the base grounds and spoke to the people of Aktau. According to an official present, many were surprised that the president had received such a cordial and joyful welcome from the locals, who were known for voting for Nursultan Nazerbayev's Light of the Fatherland party.

Shipbuilders float out cutting-edge minesweeper for Russian Pacific Fleet

The next warship of this series is set to be floated out in April 2022

ST. PETERSBURG, November 27. /TASS/. The Project 12700 (Alexandrite-class) seventh mine countermeasures ship Anatoly Shlemov slated for entering service with Russia’s Pacific Fleet in 2022 was floated out at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard in St. Petersburg on Friday, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.

"This is already the seventh ship that we are floating out. Moreover, beginning with the tenth ship, an upgraded and completely different series with other capabilities will be launched. In the immediate future, the Shipyard will lay down another splendid ship that we will start building with speed and quality for our customer at the beginning of next year," CEO of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau (the Project’s developer) Alexander Shlyakhtenko said at the launch ceremony.

The next warship of this series is set to be floated out in April 2022, Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard Head Vladimir Seredokho said. The warship is expected to be named after Soviet submarine officer, Rear Admiral Lev Chernavin.

Project 12700 minesweeper

The minesweeper Anatoly Shlemov was laid down in July 2019. The vessel is the Project 12700 seventh ship built on order from the Russian Navy. The warship has been named after Vice-Admiral Anatoly Shlemov who served in the Navy’s Main Shipbuilding Department and subsequently worked as the director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation’s Defense Procurement Department.

Project 12700 has been engineered by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) and represents a new generation of mine countermeasures ships. The warships of this Project feature the world’s largest unique hull made of monolithic fiberglass. The unique hull enhances the warship’s strength and ensures much improved anti-mine resistance.

Russia’s Project 12700 Alexandrite-class coastal-type minesweepers are designated to fight sea mines, which the new ships can encounter in the sea and on the seabed without entering the danger zone. The minesweepers can employ various sweeps, as well as remotely controlled and autonomous underwater drones.

The minesweeper features a corrosion-resistant hull and has an unlimited service life.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Russian-federation-

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is interested in exploring the full conversion of the Trans-Siberian Railway to a modern high speed rail network, as to further increase the efficiency of travel between our two nations.

We are interested in formulating closer ties with Russia to lay a legal foundation for greater economic integration and political security, starting with physical transit integration at the border. So far, both nations have seen some gains in security cooperation in the past years, but progress on economic integration has been quite slow, despite the high expectations. It is time to push ahead and meet these expectations.

It is proposed that the Far Eastern Railway, running through the Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Amur Oblast, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, and Yakutia, be refitted with standard gauge (1,435mm) rails as to allow for direct connections with the 548 kilometer-long Binsui Railway that runs through the Northeastern region of the country. The CR Group has expressed plans to convert the Binsui Railway into high-speed rail, plus assist the Russian Far Eastern Railway in converting their rails to a high speed system, as to shorten travel times between the two border zones by up to 60%.

Such a project will cost around $20 billion RMB, and will commence immediately upon approval.

To complement this plan, a mutually agreed legal framework is needed to help integrate administrative customs processes at the border zone. We propose the cancellation of all mutual visa restrictions, along with the complete abolishment of passport controls at the border zone along the Amur River to help drive travel, tourism, and investment into the area.

SAIF AL-ISLAM QAZZAFI VISITS EGYPT

Cairo - Saif al-Islam Qazzafi, son of former leader of Libya and unrightfully slain Mummar Qazzafi, has visted the Egyptain capital Cairo, where he reportedly met with the head of the General Intelligence Directorate, as well as the Minister of Defense Field Marshal Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and President Hamdeen Sabahi. It is unknown what was the purpose of the visit, but the fact that it included the three most powerful men inside the Egyptian state indicate that it was a meeting of prime importance.

Saif al-Islam has been out of the public eye for more than several years after being arrested by a rebel milita during the Libyan civil war. He was held for over six years, receiving a death sentence that was later overturned thanks to international pressure and domestic rally's in favor of Saif al-Islam. He has since announced the creation of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Libya and completely denounced the current Libyan government headed by al-Sarraj.

The news of his arrival was met by pro-Qazzafi protests near the Libyan embassy, as Libyan migrants who fled the civil war took to the streets to express their joys after the arrival of the son of their previous leader

Egypt and the Qazzafi tribe has been close allies, owing to Qazzafi's idiolization of Eternal President Gamal Abdel Nasser and his Pan-Arab policies. This friendship has led to several proposals for the unification of both countries, culminating in the short lived Federation of Arab Republics.

When Mummar Qazzafi died, Egypt declared a day of mourning, and announced that it will do everything in it's power to ensure that the ideals of "Unity, Socialism, and Arabism" is brought back to Libya

As the television continued to show scenes from Louisville, the woman placed her plate down just as the Chancellor took the podium. For the next thirty minutes, a fiery, charismatic and endearing address was carried to every living room in the nation, and across the world. It was perhaps the most partisan, yet simultaneously least toxic, heap of idealism that she had ever heard. The speech made clear America's priorities under the continued government of Chancellor John Fetterman, the rapid decarbonization of the economy, the fervent push for 'new age manufacturing'. In it were age old calls to arms, the end of homelessness, the continued fight against poverty, and the strong necessary push to protect healthcare and education access. Then came the new, an infrastructure plan which made every American think of days gone by, a rapid expansion in research and the most dedicated call to confront 'anti-democracy wherever it may be'.

Fetterman left the podium, and the woman continued to watch as the convention floor came to it's feet. The media framing had failed. When Fetterman first became Chancellor, the conversations surrounded the 'shady Chancellor', alluding to his height and straight-cut face. When he won an upset plurality as head of the SDP in the 2020 general election, the framing focused on 'unusual resonance'. It wasn't until the end of 2020 that the nation's media landscape stopped it's effort to discredit the Chancellor, pushed both by his success in managing the Coronavirus Pandemic, and his ability to reactivate the American economy in the wake of the devastation of lockdowns and mask mandates, they joined the public in their judgement. Now, almost two years on, the nation was braced and ready for the next chapter in it's "Fettermania". It did not help that the opposition was divided, internally between itself, as the DRP brought down young cubs and tore old bears in two, and externally, as the Christian Conservatives attacked the Democratic Republicans and the Democratic Republicans attacked the Christian Conservatives.

She picked up the remote and turned off the television. From behind her the slow drawl of her husband was clear, "comin' honey?"

"Not tonight, Bill," she replied softly, "tonight it's a reading night."

Then she opened the file in front of her, titled; CLASSIFIED: FORMATION OF ADEN.

Ecuador’s Governor-General Guillermo Lasso used international shell companies to avoid taxes, covered his tracks with the help of the Ministry of Finance: whistleblower

QUITO- A whistleblower who worked for Ecuador’s Ministry of Public Finances alleges that Ecuador’s Governor-General Guillermo Lasso violated tax laws after he used dozens of shell companies and offshore bank accounts to hide millions from Gran Colombian and Ecuadorian authorities. The whistleblower released a total 12,000 files, emails, text conversations detailing how the Governor-General became the owner of nearly a dozen shell companies through which millions were poured into foreign real estate and offshore bank accounts in tax havens in Europe. Furthermore the whistleblower’s report alleges that Lasso colluded with the Ministry of Finance with the help of Finance Minister Angela Rosado to hide the financial irregularities from the General Assembly.

Gran Colombian anti-corruption law requires financial transparency at the executive level of government, however, it only defines it for the federal executive, it largely allows constituent republics to develop their own policies to ensure transparency. Ecuadorian law requires the Governor-General, Assistant Governor-General and Minister of the General Cabinet to submit themselves to yearly audits by the Finance Ministry and the General Assembly’s Joint Committee for Financial Transparency. The whistleblower report alleges that the Governor-General and Minister of Finance used the power and scale of the Ministry of Finance to shield the existence of the shell companies from General Assembly’s audit. The report alleges that thousands of documents detailing financial transactions were destroyed or hidden by the Ministry. The final report found no irregularities, with legislators assuming nothing until this report.

If true, the popular Governor-General could face impeachment at the hands of the Social Democratic Party of Ecuador (PSDE-PND), a New Democratic Party (the national center-left party) affiliate, that oppose Guillermo Lasso and his center-right government. Impeachment and removal would require a simple majority in Ecuador’s Chamber of Deputies and a supermajority vote in its Senate. The two-thirds majority requirement in the Senate, however, can be waived in favor of a simple majority requirement of the question of whether or not to remove the Governor-General is out forward to the public in a recall election.

Lasso and Minister of Finance Rosado have both denied the allegations with Lasso calling it a “brazen political stunt”. Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies María del Carmen Pintado (PSDE-PND) has announced that an official investigation by the Joint Committee on Financial Transparency will be forthcoming with impeachment “certainly on the table”.

PRESIDENT SABAHI SPEECH: TRANSCRIPT

"Citizens of our great and dear homeland. Yesterday, news came out about a meeting with a certain friend of mine Saif al-Islam Qazzafi, son of one of the greatest men to ever set foot in the Arab world Colonel Qazzafi, and some officials including me personally. Firstly I would like to confirm that it was indeed true, we hosted Saif al-Islam as a guest in our house, and we sat and talked about many topics relating to Libya, the state of the Arab world in general, the legacy of his father, and some other things

As a result of this meeting, the United Arab Republic, is officially and formally announcing today, that we recognize Saif al-Islam Mummar Qazzafi as the only legitimate head of state of the Great Socialist Libyan Arab Jamahiryya unconditionally and at once. And that we also officially declare the current Libyan government, headed by western puppet Fayez al-Sarraj, as unconstitutional and illegitimate, having come to power through an illegal NATO invasion of sovereign Libyan soil, as well as the unpopular removal of Colonel Mummar Qazzafi by Salafist forces which continue to terrorize Libyans today, as well as the announcement that Egypt under it's responsibility as the leader of the Arab and North African world, will do everything in it's power, to support Saif al-Islam's legitimate claim over Libya.

Putting aside formalities now, I want to talk about something else. That something else is our annoying neighbor to the north, The Turkish-State. Today, after drinking my shai like any Egyptian man and opening my newspaper, I was surprised to suddenly see the Turks calling us immature, seeking to destroy peace, and exporting terror. Simply because of at the time unconfirmed rumors of Saif al-Islam's visit to Cairo. Of course, normally I would just let that slide, the Turks are no more than a barking dog which has barked at us ever since the 50s. But then, their foreign minister, Çauşolğu or Çavuğoşlu, I don't really know how to pronounce his name. This brother, said that the Turks has lifted Libya into "a new future of optimism, and prosperity".

When I saw that I laughed, because during my talks with Saif al-Islam I remember clearly a line he said: "I was talking to one of my militia units, and I recognized several of them that fought against my father during the first civil war. So I asked them 'Why do you now fight with me?', they replied 'Wallahi, we fought against [Mummar] Qazzafi in the Zintan and Bani Walid fronts. Now, if Qazzafi were alive we'd fight for him because of what we lost'."

They also talk about the so called 'legitimate' government in Triopli. The same government that has led to the collapse of the Libyan economy through inflation, corruption, and smuggling? 10 years ago Libya had one of the biggest reserves in Africa, today it has nothing! Sarraj has proved to be nothing but a puppet, requesting western troops to illegally invade Libya to put down the people's frustration with his government, and if that wasn't enough, when his masters abandoned him, he choose to submit to another master that now maintains an illegal military presence in Libya.

But then again, what is expected of the Turks? For hundreds of years they colonized and terrorized the Arab world under the guise of being the legitimate "caliphate". Today if you look at many problems in the Arab world, you will see it started with the Ottomans. The Turkish State is but a mere continuation of the Ottoman Empire under a different coat of paint. They claim to be a modern republic, but in fact they're just an old colonial empire looking to reclaim it's glory by politically and militarily dominating it's weaker neighbors. They can deny it as much as they want, but the spirit of the reactionary, imperialist, colonialist Ottoman Empire is well alive. Is it wonder then that they continue to attempt to continue their imperialist expansion in Syria and Libya?

However like the French and British Empires before it, the Turkish empire will be brought down by the will of the Arab people. If they think that the Arabs will just continue lying down while they attempt to turn Syria, Lebanon, and Libya into their puppets then they're sorely mistaken. I challenge the Turkish state to be more than a barking dog and attempt to actually come at the Arab people.

To bring this to an end, I will address not just the Turks, but every reactionary, and imperialist. Egypt will not allow the Arab world to fall to another dark age once again, those who wish to bring harm to the Arabs, will face the might of Egyptian steel and blood.

STATEMENT FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF THE GDR:

Today, the German Democratic Republic joins the United arab republic- in recognizing Saif al-Islam Mummar Qazzafi as the legitimate Libyan head of state, and do hereby call on all the current, illegitimate government of Libya, to resign immediately.

Libya was a stable country for many years; but the Western Imperialists sought to destroy the peace in the region, simply because Colonel Qazzafi refused to sell oil at rock-bottom prices. He understood that the oil belongs to the people, and he refused to compromise his populist Socialist ideals. Therefore, the Western aggressors decided that it was neccesarily for them to remove him from power.

Today, the Libyan government rules in name only. Since the fall of Colonel Mummar Qazzafi's government, Libya has descended into bloodshed and civil war. Warlords fight warlords, and occassionally, they fight against the few remaining government troops that still exist. This is shameful, and it is an example to all of what happens when the West interferes with matters it does not have any legitimate reason to interfere in. The German Democratic Republic condemns this in the strongest, possible terms. We call on all fraternal Socialist nations to unite against the Western Imperialist movement, and to support Libya's legitimate leadership.
