We had the Pacer Test today.
Its a test where you run down the gym when it beeps and you have to make it before the next beep, upon which you run back. It sucks.
Anyway, I made it 75 'laps' (or beeps) which put me ar 1,500 meters (almost a mile)
My entire.body hurts.

I remember doing one of those. I can't recall what I got, though.

In case anyone was unaware, today marks the 79th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, also known as VE Day.

Nothing, just confused.
I've never heard of VE Day, but then again I live in America lmao

Announcement from Zemuria

It is 9:40 in the morning and the Zemurian Parliament building is bustling with activity. News reporters and citizens are eagerly vying for seats in front of the stage, waiting for the Zemurian Prime Minister, Aramis Tréville, to deliver his speech. While waiting for the Prime Minister, other political officials take the opportunity to step onto the stage and promote their agendas or discuss ongoing national problems with the citizens and media present. These talks continue for approximately twenty minutes until Prime Minister Aramis Tréville finally emerges on stage, wearing his signature blue suit and trousers, red tie, brown trench coat, and blue and white canvas shoes. He takes a moment to acknowledge the previous speakers and clear his throat before commencing his speech.

"Good morning citizens of Zemuria and observers from abroad,

I have called for you all to attend this meeting to reveal the next major step towards Zemuria's future. As your Prime Minister and elected leader, it is my absolute honour to stand here before you all today to announce the creation of a new capital city called Amaranth. The name Amaranth was chosen personally by Prince Adrian Vert himself and represents the Zemurian people's enduring spirit and resilience while embodying the vision of a vibrant, progressive, and inclusive society. Amaranth will stand as an unyielding testament to our unwavering commitment to progress, unity, and prosperity.

The decision to choose Amaranth as our capital city was not made lightly. It was the result of years of careful planning, consultation, and commitment to the progress of our nation. With its advantageous location, rich cultural heritage, and promising economic potential, Amaranth is poised to become the centre of Zemuria. However, Amaranth is not only a physical city; it also symbolizes our collective ambitions and aspirations for the future. It represents a ray of hope, opportunity, and promise for the generations to come.

In Amaranth, we have a vision of a city that fosters innovation, celebrates diversity, and encourages creativity. It will be a hub of ideas, cultures, and traditions, where people from all backgrounds can come together to create a better tomorrow. As we embark on this journey to build Amaranth, let us not forget the values that define us as a nation - integrity, perseverance, and solidarity. Let us work hand-in-hand, shoulder-to-shoulder to unlock the full potential of our new capital and build a future that we can all be proud of.

Together, let us make Amaranth a city and a shining symbol of everything that makes Zemuria great. Thank you, and may the spirit of the lord guide us on our path forward."

Prime Minister Aramis Tréville gathers his notes and leaves the stage as a local band begins playing the Zemurian national anthem.

I just walked 2.6 miles (4.184 km) for a soda. Am I insane?

That distance counts both directions. I'm not that masochistic.

Finally the embassy is done

I wouldn't really call that insane. That's pretty close to my usual trip into the town centre, which is around 6.6 miles in total.

The furthest I remember walking for something was around 25 miles with my parents when we went to go get some ice cream while on holiday.

What does me being American have to do with this?

It’s normal for Americans to view a walking distance of a European city to be quite high since American cities are suited for cars.
Just pointing out a cultural difference, not an insult!
Just different lifestyles.
I’ve heard Americans say 3-5 five hour drives are nothing but for me it’s just too much.

A 3-5 hour drive in the UK is pretty much half way across the country XD

Pretty much, sometimes I forget the Uk is just a little old island!

Okay, Spez, you've got a point with our cities.
3 hours? Pfft.
I've done a six hour drive to Kentucky. I'm in Wisconsin.
And coming back from Texas was 17 hours.
(Pro tip:driving through the middle of Illinois and Indiana is boring as hell. I don't recommend, unless you like hours of wind turbines)

Yep, even a small 30-minute drive can take you to an area with a completely different dialect, history, and customs.

P.S. I like your new flag. What is is for?

17 hours is madness!

British history is just 10/10!

For the flag, I just added another Version with some hard to see designs, which is better?

For the Flag, *spoilers*
I'm thinking this would be after all attempts of the Government to bring back Speranzist fails during OracleVerse.
SPAAD TaskForce 'Last Revelation' takes a direct mission to protect SPAAD bases in Speranzist but eventually defy their command to protect citizens and a coalition forms of normal men, military and SPAAD members which create a faction known as The Last United Coalition(reference to the Union Coalition in the Speranzistian civil war and history of the countries founding).

Soon, SPAAD unites into the Large alliance SOUL99(SPAAD-ORACLE LEGION-UNITED DIMENSIONAL ORGANISATIONS-LEAGUE OF THE 99) and the TLUC returns to listening to SPAAD and becomes an official regiment with this flag.

Speranzist won't have an official flag when it falls during OracleVerse.

(of course, none of this is yet to be confirmed yet, i could change my mind)

NationStates issues are getting rather ridiculous rather quickly.

Yep, some of them are pretty wacky. It's usually paired with stat changes that make little sense.

Lunayria wrote:A 3-5 hour drive in the UK is pretty much half way across the country XD

An 8 hour car ride (that's including stops) in Australia will only get you from around Geelong to Adelaide. 😅

Well my retail industry just went up 8,000%.
