Hello my fellow Elyisans! I stand before you today, asking for your vote as Optus. I hear you ask, why should I vote for you? Let me explain.
First of all, I have a strong understanding of Elysian legal code, having largely written both our Constitution and the Rules of Procedure for the Assembly of Elysiana. This means I have a good understanding of what is expected of me as Optus, and what the law allows us to do.
If elected as Optus, I intend to oversee the running of the Assembly personally. I will make sure all proposals enter discussion as quickly as possible. However, that being said I intend not to have more then 3 proposals up for debate at a time. That way the Assembly is able to focus, and will be less likely to have proposals up for debate being forgotten. I will also try and foster discussions on what sort of laws Elysiana needs, and mentor others so they can write a proposal to cover it.
On the foreign affairs side, I don't have quite as much to say. While I do not intend to appoint a Bracus to oversee the Assembly of Elysiana, I do intend to appoint a Quartermaster to oversee foreign affairs. I do intend to create a couple nations to see what regions are currently active, and pick out a few that are a similar size to us. This way we might be able to find a few regions that might be interested in a treaty with us. I will give my Quartermaster a lot of leeway to decide who they think we should approach, however if we have not begun negotiations with another region before February 10th I will take a more active hand in picking regions for us to approach. I intend us to have our first treaty in place before the end of the term on March 15.
