The Gemmislandian Golden Age

The state of the economy

Over the course of the past year, Gemmisland has seen unprecedented growth in major economic, social, and scientific factors across the board. In the past year, there have been significant increases in civil rights, political freedoms, and economic freedoms in conjunction with the massive expansion of the economy from a scale of 72.08 to 95.88 on the Krugman-Greenspan Business Outlook Index with a max of 100. Output has never been higher as our GDP has seen a ₲40 Trillion increase in overall production. Average income has gone from ₲71 thousand to ₲102 thousand nationwide with one of the highest average disposable incomes in the world in conjunction with our lenient 6.4% tax rate. Poor income has seen some of the most improvement going from ₲15 thousand to ₲59 thousand with the poverty rate in Gemmisland becoming slowly nonexistent.

Other Notable Improvements

Apart from Economic factors, our HDI has gone up 14 points to 71. Major cultural awakenings have brought about a renaissance for Gemmisland with many citizens taking part in a rising culinary industry and advancements in science going up 97 points on the Kurzweil Singularity Index. Our youth are becoming smarter after we made it through a large uprising movement where rebelliousness was at an all-time high. Thanks to large increases in spending on education our youth are bringing us into the coming decades with hope and a restored feeling of accomplishment.

With the successes continuing to pile up, if we stay on track then it is anticipated that Gemmisland will continue to improve and one day is on track to become a major world power not just in 10000 Islands, but the world!
