NEUQUÉN, Wednesday, March 27, 6:27 P.M (AP) - Following the death of Nemesio Osvaldo, the General Secretary of the Communist Party, the Communist Party is set to meet tomorrow morning to begin the process of electing a new General Secretary. Amongst the candidates are Bartolo Leon (former Premier), John Norman Pritchard (son of Idwal Pritchard, former premier) and the People's Commissar for State Security, Prudencio López de Lacalle.

Since I cannot decide who should be General Secretary of the Communist Party, I'll let the public decide. You might wanna read our history because it mentions some of the candidates, do so here.

Here's the link: https://strawpoll.com/jVyG8Ba0Yn7

Here's some info on each candidate:

Bartolo Leon
Age: 72
Background: Premier from 2002-2014. During his time there was a fear of economic collapse. However, the 1st five year plan of the millennium (2001-2006) saw a major upturn in economic output and the decline in unemployment. Many critics, in the old guard of the Communist Party, feared a move away from Communist ideals and as a result rigged local elections in 2006 to be in favour of more traditional communist party members.

John Norman Pritchard
Age: 64/65
Background: son of the late Premier Idwal Pritchard, who saw the occupation and annexation of the Falklands.
Info: much like his father Ideal, J.N. Pritchard is a believer in the idea of more western style of Government/soft communism. Similarly he has called for modernisation within the Supreme Soviet to make it more diverse politically. However, he is also deeply mistrusted due to several financial scandals and an affair with his mistress.
Info: Bartolo Leon has not been highly involved in the upper echelons of the Communist Party and most consider him a compromise between the Liberal Pritchard and the Conservative López de Lacalle.

Prudencio López de Lacalle
Age: 58
Background: Head of Comisariado del Pueblo para la Seguridad del Estado (the People's Commissariat for State Security).
Info: López de Lacelle is considered on the more conservative side of the Communist Party, a firm believer in the cult of personality forged by the first General Secretary of the Communist Party, Rodolfo Vicente. He is often regarded by the west as dangerous and too sympathetic towards China and Russia, especially in regard to their recent actions toward Taiwan and Ukraine.

If you want more info on candidates, I can happily answer.

This will be safe here while I head off to nap.

Ever completely forget what you were going to post?

Volaworand wrote:Double posting is fine here, though triple posting will result in involuntary decapitation.

I believe the term in TSP is "voluntary involuntary decapitation", we do not force you to do anything in this region.
Now help me unload some props, we have some persuading to do...

"We have signed the peace treaty ending Xuzur-Davri, bringing peace to Xartoia once again, I fully promise that my motherland will remain at peace until the end of the world, after this speech, I promise with my life that Xartoia will never be at war again!" - Kaka Yeli

Those words aged like milk.
