The hard-nosed population of 2.529 billion Orsikians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aleziar. The average income tax rate is 93.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Orsik's national animal is the Raven, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is Christian Orthodox.
