Because a World Cup with a pandemic would be bad
Imagine the World Cup with no fans in the stadium, it would destroy the spirit of the game. Without the fans we may as well not play the tournament at that point.
Yeah or we might have to delay the World Cup till the virus is over.
ooc/ Also the world cup is beginning soon, I just have to finish the last of my exams this week and then I have a full two weeks pretty much free.
I'm going to start the world cup on Friday or Saturday as my last exam on Thursday.
I also need to put the teams in and decide who is playing who , so don't worry if you feel that this board has gotten to quiet.
It's just that many of us are very busy irl.
Achias they'll be no need to start a pandemic right now as the World cup would have to be effectively cancelled as if a virus were to break out the World Cup stadiums or even entire teams may have to be disqualified if they get infected and that's not really fun.
However, afterwards could be fitting as maybe as all the people from the world cup spread a disease internationally?
Well, yeah. If I were to start one it will be after the WC.

Earlier today president Poteretsky signed a bill to mandate that all medical records must be on pen and paper. This bill was signed as a prevention mechanism to protect against recent attacks on medical records by hackers attempting to hold these records from the hospitals for payouts of up to thousands or even millions of rubles.
ECONOMICS
The economic state of the nation appears to be going up with inflation at a decrease and poteretsky’s attempts to tie the ruble to he widely recognized and stable currency, the note (used in 
Ashwood Donner) experts agree that if these attempts are successful then Novgorod should steer well clear of disaster.
MILITARY
Reports have come in from late yesterday suggesting that Novgorod, along with the Finnish independence movements and the Slavic liberation movements have failed to capture Helsinki after multiple days of fighting, instead being forced back to more or less the city limits, the air force however achieved a victory in sinking the naval units docked in the city. Even with this major setback the war continues as planned in most places including reports of the total capture of Murmansk and Karelia without much resistance from the faltering Ikrasenian regime.
