Greetings and Blessings to all! I write to my new region as the Archbishop of the glorious Holy People's Republic of Pasxo. Our great nation was founded by disheartened pilgrims searching to fund a society that focuses not on impossible economic growth but instead on happiness, peaceful contentment, and service to the most vulnerable. We look forward to participating in this esteemed region!

Hi! What a wonderful question by Almost Ireland! I'll be back soon to answer all those I missed in a post or two.

As an essentially-corporatocratic nation, Montrandec is party only to deals that benefit it. Sactions? We don't know that word.

The Newquays, however, are likely party to many pacifist, humanitarian, and aid pacts in accordance to their ways of governance

Lanansia is a founding member of the Western Alliance of Soverign Nations (WAOSN), a military alliance similar to NATO. Among the members are Volkerben and Lhat.

As Lanansia has stated, the WAOSN.

What is an underrated food you suggest everyone try despite what they might've heard about it?

Bologna and dill pickle sandwich. It's pretty alright.

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is an underrated food you suggest everyone try despite what they might've heard about it?

Fungi is great despite some people's reticence to try them out! Spinach and lettuce is also much better than the reputations they get!

Every nation has laws on the books that aren't enforced. In the US this is jaywalking and dog leash laws. What are the laws that your nation doesn't enforce?

In Montrandec there'd be a system of inverse fines: You pay enough to be allowed to commit a crime with impunity, of couse, the government takes a cut. Corporatocratic dystopia has taken hold of the nation!

In the Newquays, some misdemeanors can be ignored on a case by case basis if the citizen is in a bad state or is disabled. The foremost priority is the wellbeing of the citizen.

Here's my catching up on most of the QoTDs I missed! Beware the massive spoiler once you open it!

Warden of the Spring wrote:What irl nation is your nation most similar to? And in what ways?

Probably the US if it was completely run by corrupt corporations, the Newquays are similar to Nordic Countries or idealist small-scale local governments

Warden of the Spring wrote:What's the best idea that you've had but then forgotten? I had a great QOTD idea but couldn't write it down fast enough. Luckily, Newquay Forest is a genius and helped me with this one.

As I mentioned in the ward, once I had a great idea on the metro when someone came in with a boombox and my mind went blank for some reason.

Warden of the Spring wrote:Hello Wellies! What's the most ridiculous price you have ever seen? From high fashion to dodgy generic stores, please let us know!
(And much thanks to Newquay Forest for this QOTD idea!)

Definitely fads. Useless at worst, and easily replaceable at best items that go for thousands!

Warden of the Spring wrote:What sort of roleplay scenarios are you interested in partaking in with your fellow Wellspringers?
If you are in interested in RP with other Wellspring nations, you should check out our discord https://discord.gg/YDgC5v5K! All sorts of cool RP stuff goes down there, courtesy of our Master of Role-Playing, Lanansia!

Definitely international incidents, involving two or more RPers!

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is one national policy you wish existed on NS?

Democracy! It'd make issue writing so much easier.

Warden of the Spring wrote:How does the previous leader of your nation compare to the current leader of your nation?

In Montrandec, leader is replaced if there is a really bad quarter for the corporatocracy. Last leader had a bad quarter and was replaced by a better CEO. In the newquays, the last leaders were gracious and polite, as are the current ones.

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is your computer's screen saver, or what would you set as your screensaver if you could set any image or animation?

If I could set it to anything (and I could, since they're fixed images), it'd be the Thriller album cover. Or maybe Boston, or Abbey Road.

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is the favorite sport for your leader to watch?

Here, in Montrandec, I'd assume leader had better watch the stock exchange lest he be replaced with a more efficient figurehead. In the newquays, however, leader likely watches the national sport and gets quite distraught if anyone gets hurt.

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is your favorite Olympic sport to watch?

Skiing! I've skied myself, and what they do is simply mind-blowing!

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is on the license plate on your leader's vehicle?

Leader doesn't want to incite doubts of their efficiency by spending on vanity plates. In some way, the deeply corrupt corporatocracy grew into preventing corruption withn corruption (corruptception!)

Warden of the Spring wrote:Ayyy! Welcome, Unitedstatesofbadass! Everyone, what is one tip you would give to a new NS-player or new Wellspringer?

As a new NSer, remember that there's always someone on the other side of the screen, as a Wellspringer, thank your lucky stars you spawned here! It took me years to get here!

Warden of the Spring wrote:If you could automate one part of your daily routine what would it be?

Transport! From walking to riding the metro, no more thank you! (Some walking is fun, I enjoy walks outside when I have the time)

Warden of the Spring wrote:Does your nation have a space program? How is it going?

After probes noted no new trade partners to be found, only asteroid mining operations remain.

Warden of the Spring wrote:What is the last movie or TV show you watched? Would you recommend it?

I wholeheartedly love Seinfeld!

Warden of the Spring wrote:If you could have a garden in your backyard that grows an endless harvest of one fruit or vegetable, what fruit or vegetable would you choose?

Mango, of course!

Warden of the Spring wrote:If you could pay your taxes in something other than money, or get your salary in something or than money, what would you opt for?

Definitely food, or cleaning supplies, or both.

Warden of the Spring wrote:Last night, many people across the world magically bent the flow of time and skipped an hour in the name of Daylight Savings. Does your nation follow Daylights Savings Time, or practice any other quirks in the way it tracks our journey through the fourth dimension?

I'd assume all my nations have synchronised time, with no DST jumps, or perhaps constant DST, for the sake of simplicity.

Warden of the Spring wrote:March is Women's History Month and yesterday was International Women's Day! Who is your favorite woman from history?

Perhaps Marie Curie!

Warden of the Spring wrote:Yesterday was the State of the Union Address in America! Tell us about the state of your union. What is the biggest challenge facing your NS nation right now?

Profit! The higher you go, the higher you have to reach to surpass yourself!

That I remember from the early twenty tens, probably something by bruno mars (locked out of heaven is his best one), or instant crush by Daft Punk, but I don't remember any music I actually really liked, just somewhat enjoyed.

Simple Man cover by Shinedown. The rock version aka the correct version. The acoustic version doesn't hit the same.

Hello, I just joined the Wellspring, and am excited to see it prosper! Glory to Great Andania!

Interesting! You all answered the question in a different way than I meant when I asked it! Very cool! I meant to be asking about childrens' songs. My favorite was Apples and Bananas (I like to eat, eat, eat, Apples and Bananas...). I never listened to pop music (any music really) until I was in middle school aside from the kids' songs like the one i mentioned, so I can't speak much about that. :)
