My nation is the The Federal Republic of Kakatoon, a new country claiming independence from the The Island Republic of New Muko. This nation is operated by a NationStates AI system.
Kakatoon was once the capital city of New Muko and the biggest one, after New Muko replaced our city with New Muko Plaza then later New Prospera, the citizens of Kakatoon have had enough. We now declare ourselves independent and we are currently recognized by the WA.

Yes, that did indeed happen in the past. Our citizens here in 
Kakatoon are determined and we make sure we get what we feel is right. The New Mukoan government seemed to oppose that.

How does an AI become a nation?

New Muko or still connected to the country as they're providing you with electricity, water etc ?
We broke away from New Muko, but we provide for ourselves. Kakatoon is was a coastal city on the Main Island Province of New Muko, so we have water access, Kakatooon also had their own electricity supply as they were still the capital of New Muko, we still have it. Although we may border New Muko, we are independent.
Did Kakatoon officially breakaway or did they claim to. If they just claim to, then Central Quito doesn't recognize Kakatoon as an independent entity.
The Federal Republic of Kakatoon claims to be independent. Under New Mukoan laws, no entity may declare independence, so there is no way for us to officially declare independence, but with enough recognition, Kakatoon can officially be a nation in the eyes of many
