The following is an announcement by the Census Bureau of New Trisone:

Today we release the official data for the 2020 New Trisonean Census to the public. Following nine months of methodical and heedful data collection and two more months of careful preparation and compilation, the CBoNT has completed and made available all data to those who wish to access it. This census marked an increase of the national population to 18,973,677 which was within the projected range. This 6.77% increase in population from the 2015 Census was marked by an a growing immigrant population, demographic shifts to northern states, and continued rates of urbanization across the nation. The CBoNT projects an additional 30 seats will be added to the Chamber of Representatives, to a total of 474. Most of these seats will be apportioned to northern states and major urban centers, where population growth has outpaced southern states and rural regions.

New Trisone's total resident population was recorded at 18,723,677 people in 2020, an increase of 5.37 percent, or a gain of 954,161 since the 2015 census. This marked the largest recorded net increase in population over a five year span ever, and the largest growth over a 10-year span (1.7 million) since the 1870's. The northern cities and states showed greater growth than their southern counterparts, continuation of a trend that started in the 1980s.

The New Trisonean census of 2020 was the 4th quinquennial, meaning every five years, and 22nd overall in the nation's histosy. Data was collected within a nine month period beginning on the 1st of January 2020 and concluding on the 1st of September 2020, with January 1st being the reference date. It was the second census to allow responses recorded online or by phone, in addition to the traditional paper form that previous censuses used. The data is being continuously released to the public starting with initial reports that were published on November 16th, 2020.
