In the early evening of June 2nd, Kalranian military satellites worldwide detected the dreadful double flash of a nuclear explosion in Lemuria, Artaecus. Within minutes of this social media and news organizations across Artaecus began flooding the internet with scenes of an fiery hellscape. While it isn't clear who was responsible what is known is that the entire city of Lemuria was vaporized in the blast. Without a clear understanding of who was responsible, panic and paranoia are expected to set in worldwide.

RP || Artaecus: A day of infamy
- A helicopter from the Skyburner’s 33rd Reconnaissance Company was enroute to Firebase Alpharius Omegon to refuel for further training sorties. Out on the rolling skyline, fifty miles away, a lancelike ray of blue-white light shot up into the gathering dusk--a clump of five rays, really, from five deep shafts in an irregular pentagon half a mile across, blended into one by the distance. An instant later, there was a blinding flash, like sheet-lightning, and a huge ball of varicolored fire belched upward, leaving a series of smoke-rings to float more slowly after it. That fireball flattened, then spread to form the mushroom-head of a column of incandescent gas that mounted to overtake it, engorging the smoke-rings as it rose, twisting, writhing, changing shape, turning to dark smoke in one moment and belching flame and crackling with lightning the next. One of the pilots, Inaros Sulyvahn, took pictures of the sight and it was immediately reported back to command. They didn’t believe it, neither did those up at high command, but in a flash more than a million lives had been lost.
When confirmation came, all available manpower was dispatched to the former city of Lemuria. The news spread fast, within half an hour, pictures of the devastation had spread all over the internet. It was nothing Artaecus had ever seen before, this was the very destruction that the Artaecusians sought to avoid by going underground. But now they’ve seen a move as drastic as that could not even prevent their worst fears. An announcement was made by Kaathe himself within the hour;
“Friends, family, the people of Artaecus. The city of Lemuria has been… Destroyed by a nuclear device. We aren’t sure who did this, or why they would do this but I can tell you something I’m sure of; We’ll make them pay. A million has died today, without warning or reason, but we will make those responsible for this pay tenfold. I will ensure that those responsible will receive nothing short of eternal suffering, it is the least I can do for my people. Today will live in infamy, a day that Lemuria fell.
But we shouldn't tear ourselves apart and create division. No, we will unite. This event should not destroy our resolve, but strengthen it. We will not break, we will endure. We, as Artaecusians, will push forward until our bodies give in. And even in death, we shall serve. I ask you, the people of Artaecus, to volunteer and aid relief efforts in Lemuria. This request extends out to those outside of our nation as well, any help would be gladly appreciated.”
A sarcophagus is currently being constructed to be placed over Lemuria, help is requested in the construction of said sarcophagus to speed up the process. The first responders were dispatched with old tanks repurposed for firefighting and wore radiation-resistant power armor. Aircraft from nearby bases have been dispatched to help combat the raging inferno.

Bucuresti, Rumania - The reports of a nuclear explosion within Artaecus took Rumania by surprise. Shortly after receiving word of the explosion, the government convened a special council on the issue, much like the one established in the wake of the Ivery City Attacks it was made up of Prime Minister Averescu, President Ignacy, Ciolacu, and several other prominent figures; the council convened to determine future risk and course of action following the devastating events in Lemuria. Hours after convening, Prime Minister Averescu met before the press to issue an official statement regarding the events, expressing sorrow for the great loss of life and promising to provide humanitarian and construction aid to the Artaecusians. The conference was followed by a national prayer service for the victims of the explosion.
After making the address to the press, Averescu offered to deploy the Federal Aid Corps and Rumanian Corps of Doctors to Artaecus to aid in the medical and humanitarian response. To help build the sarcophagus and to aid in clean up work the government offered the Artaecusians the assistance of the Military Engineers Service and The Board of Nuclear Waste Management (BNWM). Having dealt with the results of several nuclear spills and one reactor meltdown in the past, the BNWM has prior experience with running nuclear recovery operations. In addition to providing manpower, humanitarian aid, and clean up aid, the government has offered to construct and donate parts for the sarcophagus and to provide tools and protective materials for the clean up and recovery teams.
RP: Averescu Declares Reconciliation Talks a Success, FTA Signed with Icewindia
Bucuresti, Rumania - Prime Minister Averescu has declared the reconciliation talks with President Hemlock of Icewindia a "great success" stating both sides came to a clear and easy agreement. She expressed hope that through future meetings Rumanian-Icewindian relations could continue to ease. Speaking to the press Averescu said that the dangerous relationship that had previously existed between Icewindia and Rumania has begun to heal and has admitted Rumanian fault in escalating tensions with the Icewindians, becoming the first Rumanian leader to acknowledge Rumanain wrongdoing. Soon after the meeting the Foreign Office would issue a formal apology to the Icewindian government for the issues caused by previous administrations and ended the notice with a message of friendship.

RP: Discovery
Within minutes of the blast going off in Artaecus, a broadcasting system believed never to be used was for the first time activated. All standard programming was interrupted, as were all phones, in favour of displaying the words. An Artaecusian city had been destroyed by some weapon or event more powerful than any that had come before.
The government would be called into session in the hours following the event to discuss what should and would be done to help their allies following this incident. They begin sending over volunteers and aid money, nearly 170,000 volunteers and $980 million so far, with more expected to follow. The ports of Liepaja, Massawa and Vyazma have seen huge activity with shipping towards Artaecus, especially of ‘nuclear safety suits’, though there is doubt over whether they actually work.

RP: War Deficit
As result of the current riots in the Borderlands, the Commonwealth administration has declined the invitation to the War Games. Furthermore, with the nation still recovering from its recent civil conflicts, the Atomic Schism has been pouring less funds towards military projects, evident by the Commonwealth's general lack of a proper navy. Nevertheless, the nation's civilian navy, consisting of private fishing boats and trade ships, has seen a resurgence with the reconstruction of towns and cities in the Northern Schism, bringing economic booms towards the coastal towns of the tundra
RP: Aid to the Broken
Despite the Atomic Schism's shortcomings militarily, the Commonwealth's government has decided to offer a hand in friendship to the civilians of 
Conglagateia. With much of the Schismian populace ignorant of the events taking place overseas, several humanitarian organizations in the Schism have raised awareness of Conglagateia's conflict with the Nationalist League. As a result, President Sózei has offered to send aid in the form of first aid, Schismian doctors, and several tons of excess construction materials via cargo planes. Holding a press meeting in her hometown of Valley, President Sózei also spoke her voice on the ongoing conflict,
"The ongoing violence in the world has no merit. The death of tens of thousands has no merit. The oppression of democracy from so called republics has no merit. Let this be condemnation of those who continue to subvert the freedoms of those they only wish they could control, and to those who steal land that will never be rightfully theirs. . ."
Shortly after, the Sózei's administration passed an official condemnation of Blayredeshia, Icewindia, and other regimes in the Nationalist League supporting the continuing conflict.
RP: Compromise of Kratker Street
On Ejuoleiousei 4th, 46 E.S. President Sózei met with the 'Reappeared' rioters to directly discuss and pacify their wants. As expected, the demand for their old homes and jobs was the primary point of discussion. However, with many of the homes and businesses in question now occupied by the remaining Forwestian migrants, such concessions would be impossible to meet without booting out the migrants themselves. In response, Sózei traveled to the city square, where she threw off her presidential garb and spoke to the city as a common citizen.
". . .today we are here not because we wish to be here, but because the actions of a regime with no regard to our livelihood believed that knew how we should live. Because of their actions yesterday, they have left us with no choice where we can live. Our homes, abandoned or occupied, lived in in or demolished, are tainted by the sins committed on the soil where no life can grow. But yet we survived and they have not. We grow, while they wither. And I ask of you, not a your President, but as your friend and fellow Schismian: agree with me when I say we are in need of a new understanding. Our chance for healing and understanding is not tomorrow, it was not yesterday, but it is right now at this moment. . ."
Unexpectedly, Sózei's speech has managed to calm the majority of the rioters. Though few still attempted to continue with the protests, they became quickly discouraged by the citizenry. In the following week, a new compromise was drafted by Sózei and the leaders of the riots. With the promise of new land to be colonized solely by the 'Reappeared' Shangralorians, those unable to find new homes in Bunker City have been promised safe transportation to the areas east of Dominold.

Hearing of the nuclear blast soon after its occurrence, the Evacasian Government convenes to hold an emergency session. The hours long meeting concluded with a decision to provide aid to the Artaecusian relief effort, and with a plan to try and understand the causes and effects of the explosion. The Government will continue to convene at regular intervals, and will discuss the situation alongside Evacasia's allies.
Among the plans for providing support, a central commission was established by the Department of Foreign Affairs. Dubbed the 'Commission on Charitable Donations (CCD)', it is responsible for monitoring the many charities and funds in Evacasia. It has compiled a list of criteria for all charities to abide by, alongside setting up a leaderboard of the most 'reliable and commendable organisations in the nation'. This leaderboard is displayed publicly, and those who wish to support the relief effort are encouraged to donate to one of the top charities on the list.
The Government itself offers to send aid directly to Artaecus, including monetary aid totaling ₭100 million as well as a volunteer force of 15,000 workers to help with constructing the sarcophagus and performing repairs. The Chancellor requests that other KERU members aid in a union-wide research operation of the nuclear blast, using KERUSI as a means of doing so.
Internally, the citizenry feel a mix of shock and grief. The media assure that such a blast cannot happen in Evacasia, while the Air Force begin flying routine patrol flights over the airspace. Many feel the need to contribute in some way, and so charities see an enormous increase in donations and volunteer work. Overall, few feel paranoid, given Evacasia's relative neutrality on international matters.

RP: The Season of Adventure
Alessa Feylani walked along the snow covered streets, almost skipping such was her excitement. The water from melting snow would be dripping down the drain, as a pool would be under the white glow of the streetlights, running down Avari boulevard, the primary shopping street for Lutrillia, at least that region which lies above the surface. It was late, nearly 1 am, but she wasn’t worried about the time, rather about the place. Something was going on outside the Mall of Liranaholm, and whatever it was she wasn’t about to miss it because it was cold.
As she wandered through the icy streets, she could see a warm glow up ahead, most likely that of a lamp or even a fire. Hopefully not the latter though, that would be bad. Either way, she continued undeterred. The fog was sweeping across the area, making the glass and brick of buildings on either side fade away into a haze of darkness. The crisp winter air would be getting colder rather than warmer, and she pulled her coat tighter around herself, almost slipping on a patch of white ice.
She would soon arrive with her friends, where it turned out they had in fact started a fire, though it was far away from any burnable materials. A warm glow would roll out from the fire, covering the nearby area though being held back at a certain point by the icy northern winds rolling across the ocean from as far away as 
Etrius.
She shivered, looking up at the vast greenhouse that dominated from the skyline. Maybe she’d gotten herself into too much when she’d agreed to this. The others were all drinking, and she was pretty sure it wasn’t the kind of drinking a group of 15 year olds were allowed to do. In this kind of weather as well, it would be a problem. She had no idea when her mum would be back from Southern Liranaholm, but she knew it would be in the next week, and she didn’t want to be in prison when that came around.
On the prerogative on one of her friends, she glanced around for a rock, though the fog was still thick and she couldn’t see anything for it. One of her friends passed her something. It wasn’t a rock, rather a log from the now extinguished fire. Suddenly, one of them threw a rock at the window of the greenhouse, which pinged against the side. Disheartened, they began to throw something bigger. Alessa finally chucked the log, and the window cracked and broke. She smiled, until she looked over.
A policeman on night patrol was jogging towards them, attracted by the smash. Seeing what was happening, he frowned, placing his hand on the gun holster that was the norm for Lirana night patrolmen. She began to run, down the direction she came, before turning into a side street.
She got home at 5:00 am this morning, collapsing onto her bed, exhausted. The night had been crazy, and she rolled her eyes, thinking that she may have caused a problem hanging out with them. A knock on her door rung out, and she pretended to be asleep, so her aunt wouldn’t know what happened. Instead, her mother stormed in, as she looked up. “Where the hell were you?!”

RP: Unification Referendum to be Held in Carpathia Following Arad Accords
Pecs, Magyarorzag - Rumanian and Magyar Leaders agreed to hold a referendum in County Carpathia to determine the region's future after increasing calls for unification with Rumania. County Carpathia, the southernmost county of Magyarorzag contains the majority of the nation's Carpatho-Rumanians, who have increasingly sought to rejoin Rumania following Magyar independence. Tensions between the Carpatho-Rumanian majority and Magyar minority in the county have escalated after county officials threatened to hold their own independence referendum after years of accusing the central Magyar government of ignoring them. Violence between the CLA and MFA has seen a drastic increase in the weeks leading up to the conference and just days before the Magyar delegation left for Arad the Magyar government was forced to deploy military forces to the border city of Satu Mare in response to a violent anti-government protest organized by the CLA. The day of the referendum is expected to see large amounts of civil unrest across the county. According to the agreement signed in Arad, the referendum will be overseen by Rumanian and Magyar officials to prevent fraud and tampering with the results.

After an intense and tight election, incumbent President Jordan Montane has been elected to serve a second term. His main opponent was Britain Progressive Francis Orion, who was only a few hundred thousand votes short of defeating the current president.
