Ah fair.

Uhh. I don't have a domestic league.

I told someone irl what was actually going through my head and she believed me!! That person was the intake counsellor for mental health services, but still. It's a weight off my chest.

Plus I've gotten several hours of uninterrupted leisure time at home, aka met the basic human need for rest lmao

Oh goodness, what a lovely and definitely not unsurprising way to wake up in the morning, with noises of motors from Light Utility Vehicles, Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Tanks with demining installations such as flails. Dozens of grouchy men holding rifles and wearing snow camouflage due to freezing environment even in cities watching both their infantry comrades and affiliated vehicles slowly and carefully removing a mine from a grid location. The location of the city is named Apveltsa, it's name being a 'Slavicized' name of it's Germanic word 'Apfeltal', meaning it is located in the western region. After hours of stress, loud sounds, anxiety and worry about the bombs blowing up, the Grid is finally cleared from the city of Apveltsa. - "Captain Pajić of Grupa: Sok (Group: Juice) on demining operations, grid 2 of Apveltsa is finally cleared, over." - The Captain and leader of Group Juice talked in his two-way radio device.

The Captain's army overlords spoke.

/\/\ Understood, stand by for new orders in the next hour, grab yourself some lunch for now, but watch out for any potential danger, over. /\/\

- "Roger, I'll advise my men." -

After few minutes, soldiers are laying around what used to be Grid 2, now an open and safe space for the civilians to go through, it consists of city streets, parking lots, one abandoned office building planned to be reused and closed bakeries due to the impact of the war. Although a pretty urban section, it did have fields of dirt with it's older grass burned up, and new small ones starting to grow. Weird thing is, there isn't any snow covering the fields, one man affiliated to the Narodna Armija sat down the field to at least sit on something soft, it looks like the chairs were used as cover or debris by both West and East forces in the said war. He lied down, even though the grass itched him a little, it was way more comfortable than literal concrete and vehicle steel, he wondered if the mechanized division forgot to bring folding chairs. - "Ovo je sranje, želim se vratiti kući! (This sucks, I want to go back home!)" - He complained, the army's duty is more dangerous and complicated than he thought. - "Dovraga, zašto sam se pridružio? (Hell, why did I join?)" - The complaining soldier even seems to be ranked Razvodnik, low but higher than Vojnik (their equivalent of Private).

... There stood a man in the same uniform as an SNA soldier, even wearing the snow camouflage one, the Razvodnik ranked one saw him and waved. Response? The man pulled up his assault rifle and aimed at the laying soldier, the Razvodnik rank was confused and frightened in a moment, and a bullet was fired. The bullet missed and the ground, the Razvodnik rank had to stand up and pull his rifle as well, firing back at the SNA soldier. Multiple shots have missed, but it did put him down after a bullet hit him in the right arm. He pulled up his walkie talkie and reports: - "Vodnik Petrovic (Sergeant Petrovic), come in! This is Razvodnik Bajric of our very same squad, I have a very serious situation, over!" -

/\/\ What's going on? Did a Kraut guerrilla ambush you and your men? /\/\

- "Worse! Some of our own men shot at me, thus trying to kill me. I shot back and hit his arm, he fell but he seems alive, over." -

/\/\ If he truly is alive and only injured, approach him and make sure he doesn't move an inch. Where are you at? Over. /\/\

Razvodnik Bajric ran to the now rolling and yelling man he shot, while seeing street names. - "I'm at the green fields just right at Felix street, near a bakery with a Valish name 'Grandpa's Coffee'." - The moment he got near, the injured man hasn't died, but is bleeding. - "He's not dead, hopefully won't be, over." -

/\/\ Noted. I'm coming there with my men as well, just stay where you are, over. /\/\

The injured soldier kept screaming out of agony, while Bajric grabbed him by the shirt. - "Ti, koji k*rac si mislio da si me upucao? Jeste li mislili da sam jedan od terorista? (You, what the f*ck did you think you were shooting me for? Did you think I was one of the terrorists?)" - He yelled. The soldier did not answer, but it did reveal that he had purple-ish color in his eyes, he picked Bajric's hand and bit it hard. Bajric yelled again, this time in pain. - "SR*NJE! (SH|T)" - In retaliation, Bajric punched the soldier with very aggressive behavior to let the hand go. His left hand was bitten hard, and he was bleeding. Still holding his rifle with his right hand, he shot at the soldier to at least injure and weaken him, the result was totally killing him, he breathed no more. When the Sergeant's men arrived, they found Bajric staring at his bitten hand and the soldier's recently deceased body.

Days later.

The town of Apveltsa had noticed and reported it's rise of aggressive behavior and general violence among citizens and within the military units patrolling the location, brigades of mechanized division and squadrons of utility helicopters to deal with the situation. Aleksic has telegrammed Snow of Brethren to send some help, after being notified that 'demonic presence' has spread within Apveltsa and other locations nearby in the western region, and the military is trying to contain it.

I know, stupid story and plot. Just a way to start the rp ,_,

. . . hm. The dragon's tail flicks back and forth with a fair bit of force, thumping audibly against the floor, as she reviews this message. Apple? Fetch Mum and a copy of the Daemonarium. And . . . I know our resources are limited on this, but would you check Varadinka Aleksic's genealogy for a connection to Allye? Thanks.

Varadinka,

Help will be on the way as soon as possible. Do not, repeat DO NOT, allow any matter from the affected area to be consumed or spread; restrict movement of people and animals, if possible burn all potentially airborne seeds & spores. Monitor soldiers' mental state and be prepared to order them disarmed.

Blessings, Snow.

While you're thoroughly unconscious, Smoke lights a small fire and tosses in some of the herbs you've given them. They don't have most of their tools, now, with their coat having been left draped over you -- but their pockets are still stuffed with worrisome devices and a lot of sample jars.
