I may disagree with them, but I can't deny their bravery. Enemies can still have respect for each other. The Taliban were true patriots. They're a deeply religious organization who love God and maintain family values. Also, they're fighting against ISIS right now.

Don't mind woman's rights though, they belong in the kitchen anyway /s

It's a different culture for sure. We have to remember the the US and Western Europe are the exceptions. Not the rule.

Indeed. I'm not being that serious rn. I will say, though, it isn't out of possibility that the US and Afghanistan reconcile at some point. We've had way shadier allies. Of course, I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon.

Now, people often fantasize about a world where Huey Long became President. Some say the US would be a better place than under Roosevelt. I once fell into this crowd, but I don't anymore. I believe Long was the right man for Louisiana given the circumstances and his character. But the senate and the federal government are a much different landscape. And we can see how he was unsuited by just how unpopular he was.

That's more or less the playbook right now. First, we're focusing or cementing our connection between us and our allies by creating new measures to dissuade China. This is the case with Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. They're the most important players here. But we've also been supporting other states like Vietnam.
