They finally came to fix their mistakes. First arrived two service techs to fix the first problem that had already been fixed weeks ago. *facepalms*
They blamed the new dispatcher. The electrician arrived later, and then had to call another electrician to make sure he was doing it right. (All he had to do was to bind the gas lines. In other words, put a ground wire to the gas pipe. Ten minute job. I told him what he needed to do, he was still confused.)
So now I'm waiting on the inspectors again. Maybe it'll be done in time for me to sell the place. *chuckles*

*thumbs up* Yeah, he said the electrician he called was a 'trainer'.
State re-inspection passed today, "Yep, he got it. I don't know why they don't do right in the first place. Just costs everyone, especially them, more time and money." Tomorrow is the city re-inspection.
Hear is hoping good news arrives by the weekend for you. :)
Alas, the city inspector failed the work again. For a different reason that the other inspectors missed. *sigh* This time it's the gas lines.
Hopefully you are not paying for every time an inspector shows up.
Thankfully no. And yet, the saga continues. Monday morning the contractor called, "We'll be out this afternoon to take care of the gas lines!"
It's Saturday now, and I'm still waiting.
After two weeks and five phone calls, they finally fixed the gas lines yesterday. Back to waiting on the inspector, but he's going to have to wait on me as I'm going to be out of town.
I did get the basement drywall sanded and primed in the meantime.

The day before I left on my trip, the inspector stopped by and everything passed. On to the next project!
My trip was all good, except for a flight delay on departure due to weather, followed by returning to the gate with a passenger refusing to wear their mask (why wear a mask through security, on to the plane, then refuse once taxied and ready to take off?) I ran through the connecting airport from gate to gate and just made my connection. They told me it was 20 minutes between gates, but my phone said, "11 minute workout detected" when I arrived. At 20 minutes, I would have missed it.

That song always reminds me, I had a friend in North Dakota in 1969 - 1971 whose name was Eugene. He and his brother Ron were my best friends at the time.
Eugene changed when he went to middle school. He went from friend to bully. Yes, Careful with that Axe, Eugene. No biggie though, I moved away and we remained friends. The two of them visited me in South Dakota during a deadly flash flood. 200+ dead, downtown was wiped out, they flew home ASAP to get out of the disaster. We were without water/sewer a few weeks, but otherwise our home was fine. My father volunteered with Red Cross distributing supplies. I lived about an hour from Mount Rushmore.

One person we knew described watching the wall of water coming down the canyon towards his A-frame house. He was standing on a ladder, cleaning the A-frame picture windows. The wall of water hit the window, and beyond that he didn't remember how he survived. The house was gone without a trace.
