With the election drawing closer, a poll of support has been conducted. It has revealed that support for the monarchy to take the reigns of leadership has drastically increased.

As per the Venetian constitution, every voter has the choice of electing the Monarchy to rule absolutely for a term, and after rumours of corruption in the ruling conservative party, many of their support base have shifted towards Royal absolution.

The role of the Monarch, otherwise, is to administer Local level spending in accordance with a constituency's spending vote taken at the start of the year. This close working relationship between the Monarchy and it's people may have also had a hand in the increased support.

The vote for absolution has only ever won once in the constitution's entire existence.

Further recruiting the help of re-titled Minister of Finance Johan Helo, the Hallita and his cabinet worked diligently to orchestrate an orderly and smooth evacuation of private Finnish assets based in China. Aiming to supplement the brotherly bonds sowed by all these nations commitment to GAUNTLET and its EcoZone, the MGC is officially designated as a form of inner economic and military pact. The duties of these two aspects are assigned separately to newly formed committees given the responsibility of overseeing financial matters and joint-defense concerns separately, yet all the while under the umbrella of the same organization.

Most uniquely, and somewhat controversially, the Hallita stated without hesitation that the MGC's mission is not formally devoted ideologically to Gravonism. However, he did act rather dismissive of the notion "for the immediate future," as his primary goal currently with the new sub-alliance bloc appears to be the integration of other GAUNTLET states, namely Arabia, Yemen, and Kuwait, into it, mostly appeasing the concerns of party hardliners.

More on matters of defense were soon to follow. With the past five years' projected population boom in the Kongolese Free State, a concurrent rise in the nation's overall military prowess has come as a pleasing development in the safeguarding of international harmony in Central Africa. Following the official announcement of the MGC's formation, KFS President Johannes Graff attended the commissioning of a new Bouvet class Air Assault Lander in Adalstadt. In a radio address from Alexandrios this morning, President Constantine announced the formal withdrawal of Makedonian diplomats, military personnel, and business interests from Persia. The President cited growing un-democratic sentiments within the country, along with the growth of expansionist tendencies within the nation's governing officials. Additionally, President Constantine made clear the dissolution of the defense pact that had been present between the two countries for almost a century. In a follow up statement provided shortly after the radio address, Constantine also left open the possibility of embargo, if Persia were to attempt to overthrow neighboring democratic nations, or construct weapons of mass destruction.

The World's Betrayal! - December 1st, 1955

Following the return of Premier-Führer Abram Volder from a special convention of the General Assembly of the Congress of Nations, he would proceed to relay a most treacherous series of developments before the National Assembly and the Angolan people. Taking to the wireless and the newly renamed party-sanctioned Patriotic Network, or P-NET on television, Comrade Führer Volder reported that Angola had suffered its greatest betrayal yet: "a betrayal by the world."

Condemning what he called, "the 20th century's most blatant sham," Volder confirmed that the C.N.A.L. had voted to officially approve CN Resolution 9, outlining a number of false allegations against the Angolan government, namely the Premier-Führer himself. Among the consequences for this "plunging a dagger deeper into the heart of the Revolution," are a total arms embargo on Angola and the fanciful naming of the Republic as a "rogue state." Volder continued to deride what he described as an international cabal of imperialist aggressors hellbent on the utter destruction of the Angolan people.

Most despicably of all, it would be immediately reported from the Advisory League's corridors that the South African delegation had voted to approve of this same proposal. Hearing word in person, the Premier-Führer immediately called South African Consul Victor Harewood, demanding an explanation. Ending with Volder telling the "foolish traitor to decades of friendship," himself that all ties would be cut between Angola and the rest of the South Atlantic Treaty Organization, or S.A.T.O., the former stated before the National Assembly that this marked the final slight of a cascading collapse of relations between Angola and all nations of the world.

Following a rousing speech defined by a furious refusal to stand down by the Premier-Führer, Interior Minister Reinhard Ulrich gave a more logistics-oriented statement addressing possible concerns over the effect of a possible expanded embargo of Angola's food imports. Ulrich would continue to make clear that "there is really nothing to worry about," owing to the Führer's ingenious work in facilitating a policy of agricultural autarky. As a result of this, as well as what the Interior Minister alluded to as "possibly increased grain and coffee quotas," it has been made all but certain that Angola will continue to thrive, no matter what the so-called "international community," wishes to throw at it.

Introduction of the "Eternal and Violent Self-Defense" Policy - January 10th, 1956

Just ahead of the incoming 1956 Olympics in Luanda, Premier-Führer Volder has doubled down on his doctrine of standing against the malignance of Angola's neighbors and their "imperialist overlords." Speaking before a gathering of professors at the University of Volderburg, Volder announced that he saw it fit that the nation at long last "rise to a historic occasion." Following nearly two years of his advocacy of the expansion of the nation's borders to a "Greater Angola," he stood in the lecture hall, pointing with a newly-invented protractible metal stick pointer apparatus-device at a large map, and outlined multiple regions which he described as holding a historic claim by the Angolan people.

Included in this map were regions currently under the control of South Africa, Kongo, and Rhodesia. After completing his presentation, the Premier-Führer announced that henceforth, Angola would officially claim these regions to be its own rightful and stolen territory. Further citing the works of the medieval Queen Nzinga of the N'dongo, Volder made clear that he would now seek out the integration of rightful Angolan clay back into its embrace.

Later following-up this announcement, War Minister Naaman Bogote delivered a statement at a conference of the military high command that this doctrine of "Greater Angola," would be supplemented by his own brainchild, with special credit given to the Führer as well: the policy of Eternal and Violent Self-Defense, or E.V.D.S. Making no definitive statements on what exactly this entailed, the War Minister made clear one thing: in order for Angola to properly secure its own self-defense, it must arm itself through the most advanced and deterring means possible.
