FOREIGN MINISTRY: MACRON LIFTS SANCTIONS AGAINST SGRI (Alzarikstan)
      VTH REPUBLIC | PARIS, 2022

    | HELM OF DIPLOMACY, MINISTÈRE DES AFFAIRES ÉTRANGÈRES - | In an unprecedented move President Macron has lifted all French sanctions which have been in place against the SGRI for several years now. He went on to state: "We must give our Russian brothers an opportunity to make things right. Therefor I will encourage the SGRI to make investments in France and I encourage French businesses to make investments in the SGRI." Macron aims to align France with Germany (Bayern kahla) and the United States (Paramountica) which have recently been cooperating with the SGRI in various ways while citing SGRI President Vladimir Putin's recent push to normalize relations with the European Union. The President did however make it clear that if the SGRI acts out or behaves aggressively towards any NATO or EU counterparts, this period of "good grace" will come to an end and the sanctions will be reimplemented. |

EUROPEAN COMMISSION

Foreign Policy Commission

The Commission has noted the decision of France to lift sanctions which were imposed by the European Union by Decision 19 April 2017 (D n°EU/184/2017) which limited trade between the EU and Russia and pushed sanctions on key members of the SGRI.

As in accordance with the Treaty and with general principles of European law, Member States may not, unilaterally, take action against a common european law made by regulation, directive or decision.*

In accordance with a letter sent by the French Government, the European Union will convey on a foreign policy meeting to revise Decision 184/2017.

The rapporteur for the modified decision will be Ricardo Landeros

*"C02/56, 12th March 1956 - Commission v. Belgium Tax Administration
As opposed to other international treaties, the Treaty instituting the E.E.C. has created its own order which was integrated with the national order of the member-States the moment the Treaty came into force; as such, it is binding upon them. In fact, by creating a Community of unlimited duration, having its own institutions, its own personality and its own capacity in law, apart from having international standing and more particularly, real powers resulting from a limitation of competence or a transfer of powers from the States to the Community, the member-States, albeit within limited spheres, have restricted their sovereign rights and created a body of law applicable both to their nationals and to themselves. The reception, within the laws of each member-State, of provisions having a Community source, and more particularly of the terms and of the spirit of the Treaty, has as a corollary the impossibility, for the member-State, to give preference to a unilateral and subsequent measure against a legal order accepted by them on a basis of reciprocity."

GALICIA ALMOST UNDER TOTAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL

MARCH 2022

Failing to seize the momentary advantage that they had, rebel Forces in Galicia were unable to establish a frontline to prevent Spanish reintegration of the region, leading to only token resistances in key locations. Only few mountain Villages now remain where the Spanish Army have not yet ousted rebel forces, however, are actively beginning to do so. President Abascal declared the operation a complete success which marked the renewed presence of Spain in Galicia and the Basque region. The de facto end of the majority of hostilities has meant that the Spanish Military, formerly concentrated internally, can now return to its original and intended duties. The end of these hostilities also allowed the Franco Family to return to their estates in the province, which has without a doubt betrayed the memory of Franco himself.

Elsewhere in Spain celebrations were held throughout the night, many waving falangist flags alongside the Spanish one. It had ended a potentially bloody situation that could have boiled into a greater conflict, however, the surprisingly skilled leadership of the Vox Party has proven that it is not merely capable of ruling spain, but also maintaining stability in the Country.

PUTIN-BORIS SUMMITS RE-ESTABLISHES UK-SGRI RELATIONS; SGRI UNITED CONGRESS OF EURASIA OVERTURNS PUTIN'S BAN ON MEDIA COMPANIES

MARCH 2022

After hosting Prime Minister Boris Johnson of Canovia, SGRI President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has announced that Alzarikstan and Canovia have agreed on a proper path toward a detente and rapprochement toward renewing relations between the two countries. After an extensive conversation, the United Kingdom has agreed to follow the direction of Metropolitan Francais in removing UK sanctions against the SGRI on the pretense of respecting the national borders of EU/NATO member-states. Vladimir Putin, having agreed to these notions, hailed Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his willingness to communicate the position of the United Kingdom during this difficult process.

In addition to the renewal of relations with the United Kingdom, the SGRI United Congress of Eurasia officially scrapped the ban on Western medias, indicating that it is a direct violation of the SGRI Constitution in suppressing opposition voices and sources of media that provides a "free marketplace of ideas and the triumph of national conservatism." Not seeking to instigate a bureaucratic war between the SGRI Congress and the Imperium, Vladimir Putin has decided to agree with the SGRI United Congress of Eurasia and repeal the previous ban on Western media. To avoid a public demonstration of disagreement within the SGRI government, Vladimir Putin has allowed for the United Congress of Eurasia to scrap the now defunct measures to prohibit and suppress access given to Western medias to cover and report in the SGRI.

SPAIN GIVES FORMAL NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL TO THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL

MARCH 2022

Due to the utter disunity of the members of the European Union on simple and common issues, issues which whether intentional or not boil over to Spain due to the freedom of trade and movement which exists within the EU, Spain has issued its formal notice of withdrawal to the European Council which in turn allows negotiations on the withdrawal to begin. In the words of President Abascal :

"Spain has been taken for granted, our trust breached on numerous occasions not by the union itself but the members which constitute it. We find our position within the EU untenable as a result, which is regrettable due to our lengthy membership in the union and the many achievements we have made with our colleagues within it. Spain however cannot sacrifice its interests in the name of unity, we cannot endure the pain of betrayal in order to appear united to those outside of the union. We do give our heartfelt thanks to those which in the past months supported our attempts at underlining a common European policy on certain issues, but we must accept that we have failed. As has happened many time in our history, our attempts at achieving a favourable settlement for Spain has been foiled by the British and French."

By invoking Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union which begins Spain's withdrawal, a long and potentially multiple year-long process has begun whereas Spain must negotiate its new trade position with the European Union, after which Spain will be able to conclude trade deals with foreign Nations at its own leisure. It was invoked by the handing over of a personal letter from President Abascal to the President of the European Council in Brussels, Jans Magnussen. The letter dictated that Spains intended ETA for exit was the 5th of March 2025. Confirmation of the letter and intention of Spain to leave was confirmed by the Spanish Parliament within four hours of being directed to conduct the vote by the President.

Despite having included a referendum on EU membership in its manifesto, the Vox Government had intended to remain within the European Union on the long term, a plan which sadly has been foiled by bad faith shown by only a few of its counterparts. President Abascal has stated that it is currently bound by the existing EU sanctions on Russia, and as a result cannot meaningfully increase tariffs during the withdrawal process however upon the completion of the process in march of 2025 intends to introduce a full embargo of all Goods from Russia and its Colonies.

The Spanish Government has, as a result of the withdrawal, dictated multiple "red lines" which it must achieve in order to vote for a deal, these red lines are :

- Freedom of movement with Gibraltar

- Freedom of movement with Portugal

- No Freedom of movement with France

- Continued Freedom of Trade with the EU if possible

- Fishing Regime which allows both parties to continue current operations

- Reduced Spanish exit-payment

The Speech of the Red-Greens
18th, Febuary 2022
Play This: https://youtu.be/NY1PAB2c1C0

The 59 members left the Riksdag to the sounds of protesters shouting and chanting. While some of them tried to leave the crowds, many of them stayed behind with the protesters. Among those that stayed were Agne Elliasson, Elin Nobel, and André Forssell.

Anybody could tell that the protesters was teetering on the edge of becoming a riot any second now. The crowds were angry with many of the protesters hiding weapons or carrying objects to attack with. All that was needed was a spark to light this powder keg.

Agne, Elin and André went out to the gate door and met up with the protesters. They were given Megaphones as the crowd's became silent waiting to heard what they had to say.

André Forssell: "Holm's Government is nothing but a bastardization of Sweden's views and ideals! Our nation was built on the ideas of Equality, Peace and Democracy!"

Agne Eliasson: "Holm has destroyed our equality with his attempts to make Sweden some ethno-state and with his views that are not far off from segregationists like George Wallace or Strom Thurmond!"

Agne Eliasson: "He has threatened the peace and neutrality of Sweden with his fervent Anti-Russian beliefs! He has attacked our democracy by trying to suppress our voices!"

Elin Nobel: "This time, however, they will not silence our voices any longer!"

André Forssell: "We will NEVER allow Sweden to become just a puppet to the 1% who seek to oppress and silence the Worker and the Minority!"

André Forssell: "Holm is not a man of the people! He is just a member of the 1% seeking to crush us under his heel! But we will not let him oppress up without a fight!"

As the speech went on the protesters started to get louder and louder as they got more and more enthusiastic about their speech.

André Forssell: "We must stand in Solidarity against this threat to Sweden's very soul! These people will not be stopped by peaceful means! They will fight us tooth and nail to stop us but we will win! We will win because our cause is just!"

André Forssell: "This is the only way! To save Sweden's very soul we must start the Revolution right now!"

The Crowd went into a frenzy at the end of the speech. While many of the protesters didn't join in, nearly half of the almost 11 thousand protesters started to riot and loot the city. Buildings were destroyed, guns were taken from the police and people were assaulted. This was just the beginning of The Swedish Insurrection.

Home ownership hits high levels; business community expresses optimism for the future

_______________________

A new report put by the Ministry of Finance & Treasury led to much optimism and happiness throughout the halls of government as well as the streets of the capital...: the day of Soviet tenants is dead.
-
According to the report, home ownership has hit its highest levels in Baltic history, and mortgage lending is also on the up. For many western countries, this would be co soldered a smaller achievement. However for the Baltic’s, it is an incredible reflection on the progress made over the past 30 years to bring the country up to par with its European counterparts such as Germany (Bayern kahla), and the United Kingdom (Canovia)
-
Approximately 42% of Baltic citizens own their own house. That is up from 35% in 2020. There is good news for those who don’t own homes as well though. Through ambitious programs financed both publicly and privately, many of the run down ghetto apartments from the Soviet age have either been demolished or renewed into more modern flats or townhomes. This can be evidently seen in Riga, the countries largest city, where quaint apartments line the upper floors of businesses and restaurants.
-
A lot of this growth can be directly credited to a near full embrace of capitalist economic policies. Through legislation in the early 2000’s, regulation on who could purchase a house was stripped by over half. In addition, better wages and more jobs have led to an increase in paychecks, thus also leading to residents opting for property over apartments.
-
The new report is not controversy free, however. Some environmental groups, including the prominent Baltic Fund for Conservation, have expressed concern around the potential environmental impacts of massive home building. They cite the suburbs of Vilnius, where some of the once rolling fields or quiet forests have been turned into British, and to an extent even American, style neighborhoods. Police were called to one construction site outside of Vilnius where a group of activists linked arms to prevent work trucks from reaching the site. Companies and even the government have hit back at these concerns, citing the fact that the Baltic Republic already has a lot of environmental protection laws, and that many of these new neighborhoods are being constructed via ‘green techniques’, such as including solar panels for electricity or leave buffer forest to protect streams and waterways.

ALGERIA | AN ERA OF CHANGE

As 2022 steams forward, Algeria finds itself at a crossroads for transformation. Three years ago, unprecedented protests against incumbent president Abdelaziz Bouteflika led to his resignation ahead of the 2019 election. In his place, the independent candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune won with 58% of the vote and became the new president. In November 2020, a referendum to revise parts of the Algerian constitution passed with 66% of the vote. The reforms implemented by the referendum include imposing a two-term limit on the president and members of parliament, requiring the president’s party to hold a majority in parliament in order to appoint a prime minister, requiring the prime minister to form a government within 30 days of their appointment or resign, replacing the Constitutional Council with a Constitutional Court, and creating a more independent judiciary.

However, despite these reforms, there is still significant tension within the Algerian government and society at large. Fractures are beginning to show within the big-tent National Liberation Front (FLN) party as factions start to form. There are growing divides between left wing politicians who want a greater expansion of socialism and anti-imperialism, centrists who wish for a return to form and re-emphasis on Algerian nationalism, and a growing third-way faction based on pan-Arabism. There is also considerable friction between President Tebbourne and his Chief of Staff Saïd Chengriha over constitutional reform and foreign policy. It is likely that these divisions will come to a head during the next legislative election, which is scheduled to take place in May 2022.

The Hirak movement, which organised the 2019 protests against Bouteflika, has formed into the Forces of the Democratic Alternative(FDA), a broad coalition of liberals, socialists, feminists, and Berberists who aim for greater democracy and civil rights in Algeria. However the FDA has been hampered in its goals by the government; public protests were banned in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and several leaders of the movement have been arrested for violating the ban. There has also been vigilante violence against the FDA by reactionary groups, which the police have done little to stop.

There is a growing threat of renewed Islamist terrorism in the south of the country, as groups such as Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Magreb(AQIM), Boko Haram/ISIL, and Nusrat al-Islam take advantage of the nation’s fresh political instability to grow their strength. In October 2021, a car bomb detonated near a commercial area in Tamanrasset, killing 29 civilians and wounding over 50; AQIM claimed responsibility. The government responded by deploying a battalion of soldiers to the city and launching an airstrike on a terrorist training camp near Idlès, killing 15 insurgents. However, sporadic attacks have continued as the violence has bled further north, including the assassination of a police chief in Biskra in January 2021.

Internationally, the Algerian government wants to maintain close ties with Russia and improve its relations with France, while still remaining relatively independent. There have been foreign policy disputes between President Tebbourne, who wishes for Algeria to join MECO and increase its international presence, including militarily, and Chief of Staff Chengriha who strongly opposes such measures.

Overall, Algeria has undergone significant change over the past 3 years. As the legislative election looms ahead, and with the protests and promises of 2019 still fresh on the mind of the nation’s young citizens, further transformation seems inevitable. It remains to be seen, however, how such a transformation will pan out.

Chega-Led Coalition Narrowly Secures Victory; Political Violence Escalates
Ever since the awaited snap election was open for votes, people around the world have held their breath to see if this would backfire or turn it in the left wing's favor. However, none of these happened as the socialist and communists did indeed gain seats, but not enough, as the Chega Coalition won by 20 seats, a decrease from the margin of 30 seats seen in the last election. Nevertheless, the victory for the coalition consisting of Chega, PSD, and CDS has been secured, and the people wait anxiously to see exactly how right wing this government will be.

Meanwhile, the socialists have taken to other measures as riots and in some cases outright rebellion have occured, mainly in the provinces of Faro and Beja. However, with an extremely small army and a subpar police force, they are being overpowered by communists, leading some to doubt how well the regime can handle this. A small socialist group has declared Faro of the capital of the Portuguese Socialist Republic, as they battle the real regime throughout. Despite this, Andre Venturas is assuring the EU and the Portuguese people that they will have it under control in no time, and not to worry.

SPAIN BEGINS INTERVENTION INTO PORTUGUESE INSTABILITY

- approved OOC

MARCH 2022

With the Portuguese snap election leading to yet another Chega victory, the aggressive left-wing forces within Portuguese Society have yet again disregarded the results and are attempting to proclaim their own socialist republic. Portugal, having a relatively small Military for its size, may in the eyes of the Spanish Government not be able to suppress these subversive elements in the fashion that Spain has just accomplished. Fearing a socialist uprising of larger scale if the Military does not strike quickly, the Spanish Military with approval from elements of the Portuguese Military has crossed the border in several locations. Amounting to a total of 24,800 Personnel, Spanish Forces equipped with light Vehicles would be able to deploy quickly to sensitive and important areas to secure them for the new Chega Government.

Advertising the move as one of Iberian Unity, President Abascal stated that Spain will stand united with the democratically elected Government of Portugal: that being the Chega Government. Spain has further authorized the transfer of 8,200 CETME Rifles formerly held in stockpile to the Portuguese Government with the intention for them to rapidly expand their armed Forces with pro-Chega personnel. The Spanish Foreign Ministry has assured NATO and the EU that their actions are in complete coordination with the democratically elected Portuguese Government, and that their quick action without prior consultation is merely a result of the suddenly arising hostile situation.
