The Sky!
The ceiling as well if you’re inside
Space
I didn’t even think about that :( oops
I’m good with what Drachma suggested
I figured Kansas wouldn’t have major population centers, both because you’ve said that before and because I believe you’re one of the northernmost countries
I’m fine with that is Aeri is
Just FYI, each nation is still granted the right to determine the nature of their own nation. If Kansas wants to say that they are a tropical paradise with temperature never even getting low enough to warrant a sweater, that is the final word, regardless of latitude.
Also, I was thinking that the top and bottom edges of the map shouldn't represent the actual north and south poles. Rather, we can imagine that the north and south poles are cut off. The icy north and south are not particularly popular, and that would also somewhat reduce the effects of latitude-based stretching/distortions. I may still put a couple of plots on the north edge for places like Rathoria that actually want to live on the ice. Any thoughts? It saves space for more popular, temperate lands and again reduces stretching but potentially at the expense of being a bit confusing.
United states of gondor, Rathoria, and Cananirevins
Well there goes my methodology for figuring out the most populous cities
That makes sense! Though personally I’ve always imagined Kansas has a bit chillier climate (I think this may or may not have been something Kansas outright said, or hinted at; can’t confirm) but yeah, I get it
Speaking of the largest cities…
I’m going to go ahead and establish where some people are at in regards to where the largest cities are at: I’ve got a few, in my mind based on what I know about the countries geography, climate, and recent RP…
The bottom few are:
-Aerlanica, recent genocide against their people, coupled with great portion of there land is wasteland unsuitable for life knock ‘em down a little bit.
-North South North West Kansas, cold climate, coupled with the fact that Kansasans don’t live in major cities.
-Tyramon, similar reasons as Aerlanica; minus the genocide thing
-Rei Khan, surprising pick; but they just got done with a major political struggle… even if not a lot of people died lots of people more than likely immigrated to other countries.
The higher few are:
-Myself, stable political situation, coupled with temperate climate and lots of habitable land help me out here
-Roxium, admittedly I don’t know much about climate and all that good stuff of the Roxium Augusta Territory, but they are a massive space empire so… it makes sense
-Monsone, stable, rich country. Don’t know a lot about climate and geography but again, the stability and the economic situation more than likely makes them able to support such major cities.
This is what I know so far, if anyone disagrees or I’m missing something please let me know
Monsone, Aerlanica, New Drachma, and Oateria
In Tyramon, people are also spread out more; there's a lotta rural areas. There are a few "large" cities, but nothing competitive.
90,000,000 people total, if you are interested in total population. So...probably as many people as just one of Roxium's suburbs...
You have a voice. That is all anyone needs.
But which part do you agree with? Are you saying that the poles should be cut off?
United states of gondor and Aerlanica
Alright, so sorta like Kansas in my mind
That's actually fairly close to the population of the Roxium Federation Cape of Good Hope Territory's largest city and capital, Ga-Zulu.
Population of the Ga-Zulu city proper as of the Era 4 Year 751 census: ~81 million.
Population of the Ga-Zulu Metro Area as of the Era 4 Year 751 census: ~287 million.
Population of the entire Roxium Federation Cape of Good Hope Territory as of the Era 4 Year 751 census: ~1.3 billion.
I'm fairly certain the parts of the Roxium Federation and Monsone on Augusta would have similar climates due to being on the same latitude, and judging by where they are on Tyramon's map, probably have a generally sub-tropical or temperate climate, depending on where Tyramon sets Augusta's equator.
Mhmm I’ll keep that in mind!
Also, I think Gondor’s total population isn’t actually that much smaller than the Roxium Augustan Territory
I think I’ll do a top-20 ranking sometime today
Well it’s not a top-20… as my head started to hurt around 10; I tried to include some older members and RPers… and be as fair as I could, but here’s the dispatch, if anyone has a question or comment let me know :)
Ga-Zulu, Roxium
City Proper Population: ~81 Million
Metro Area: ~287 Million
Diakyo, Roxium
City Proper Population: ~77 Million
Metro Area: ~189 Million
Republic City, United states of gondor

Metro Area: ~238 Million
Tiyang-Po, Roxium
City Proper Population: ~60 Million
Metro Area:~ 102 Million
Peragrir, United states of gondor
City Proper Population: ~60 Million

Duipon, Galliadurm

Port Azulszia, Azulakas

Sparanoda City, Sparanoda
City Proper Population: ~44 Million
Metro Area: ~175 Million
Gya, WonGya
City Proper Population: ~40 Million
Metro Area: ~165 Million
In addition, most of these are estimates, as I couldn’t find good numbers for a lot of people… nor city names for even more people; if you feel this needs to be corrected please kindly TG me and tell me I also did my best to include a lot of older CGH Members and RPers if you don’t feel my numbers are accurate (which they aren’t) please let me know.
Also, if you had a Dispatch on the size and population of your cities I didn’t do against what you’ve already established so sorry Monsone I believe you get an honorable mention
My COGH Territory has a Population of 54 Million, but my largest city is my Capital Kyievopol 9.32 Million with its Metra Area so...
The Next Biggest would be The Port city of Anchorhead, which has 1.45 Million, Followed by Gordannskipol, which has 900,000.
The Rest is in rural areas in the North Since the Southeast has Fjords.
Thanks! I might go back and edit my dispatch that I made showing the biggest cities in Augusta later…
But right now, what you see is what you get; I tried my best
Sweet, thanks
I see typos. Taiyang-Po is actually supposed to be spelled as Tiyang-Po. Daiyko is supposed to be Daikyo.
I may as well also reveal a bit of lore.
Ga-Zulu and Daikyo are in relatively close proximity to each other. Some people consider Daikyo to be part of Ga-Zulu's metro area. The official government stance is that Daikyo and Ga-Zulu are considered to be in separate metropolitan areas. Ga-Zulu is located on the far-western end of the bay on the right side of my map, with Daikyo being a bit to the northeast.
Daikyo's city proper population is ~77 million. Daikyo's metro area population is ~189 million. If both Ga-Zulu and Daikyo's metro areas were to be combined, it would have a total population of ~476 million.
Tiyang-Po is located on the northern-most point of the land border with Monsone, and is a major port/industrial city.
Tiyang-Po's city proper population is ~60 million.
Tiyang-Po's metro area population is ~102 million*.
*= Excluding all urban areas on the other side of the border with Monsone that could be considered part of the Tiyang-Po Metro Area.
Thanks! Will fix
There aren't urban areas immediately on the other side of the border. It's mostly forest, wetlands, and other natural areas with some villages and towns the further you go in. This is an interesting dichotomy as on one side there is a hyper-industrialized ultra-modern megapolis, with forests, nature, and greenery on the other side.
Yay the school day is ending and I’m going Home
North South North West Kansas and United states of gondor
Alright, I’ll fix it
Welcome to the Cape!
I’ve been here for a bit I’m the old brokonov player but i lost my account
