It is Trans Awareness Week.
We wanted to give a special shout out of love, support and appreciation to our members and friends who identify as Trans, as well as those who support and care for them.
You are Seen! You are Heard! And You are Loved. The Time and Talents you show are so important to us, but your presence in our lives is invaluable both online and in real life.
As we take this week to acknowledge and support our friends, that our ally-ship, and love for them continues on beyond this small period, but should flow through every moment, and that it is so important to actively support, and be there every day for our Trans friends and family members through both the beautiful moments and the toughest ones.

THE DTA or Digital Transgender Archive is a fantastic resource hosting a absolute ginormous amount of historic information about Transgender history, and LGBTQ+ History. They have a huge database and I definitely recommend giving it a perusing:

The Trevor Project is a wonderful program that offer a safety and support hotline for LGBTQ+ invidiuals. Its one of the most well known and trusted organizations out there. Translife line.org is a crisis call line offering direct emotional and financial support to transinvidiuals in the United States and Canada. As a courtier of Caer Sidi, I urge you all World Assembly members to vote AGAINST the Security Council Resolution. The raider in question deserves this condemnation and if it is repealed this will only be a major victory for them. On another tone, this raider has been the best in his craft, even the best of the best bad guys deserve the recognition that they infamously deserved.
I do not speak for Caer Sidi's leadership, but I urge you all to vote AGAINST the Security Council Resolution to Repeal Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls.

I rarely step out of character, but I think I'm going to make the decision to do so for this.
It is possible that the nominee is deserving, but I doubt it. I doubt it because the badge is worn as a symbol of pride in a playstyle that boils down to little more than middle-school bullying, bluster, and intimidation. If you were at the beach, and a kid was running around kicking over the sandcastles that other people had built, you'd look at that kid and go "that little bastard is an asshole", or you might go "that kid is a bully", you wouldn't walk over to him, give him a gold star sticker and say "wow you've done a great job being a villain today".
This equates the same to a NationStates region. In the grand scheme of things neither a NS region, or a Sandcastle, matters much. They're both ultimately temporary things that some people spend a great deal of time building, and enjoying, and which some people grow greatly attached to. Which is why the correlation between raiders destroying region, and a bully kicking over sandcastles rings so true. Likewise a Security Council badge, and a gold star sticker are roughly the same. Neither of them really matters, except that they convey a tacit endorsement of a behavior and awarding one to a person encourages them to repeat their behavior.
The security council should not be encouraging raiders to continue to raid by rewarding their playstyle with a badge. It is against the ultimate goal of the security council, spreading peace and goodwill, to do so. Condemning raiders encourages them.
