It had only been a few week's since Vonvak had been appointed chancellor by the senate and he was about to have his first personal meeting with the sovereign; he was so worried that he couldn't even concentrate during his meditation period. Whilst he meet the king when he bestowed him the right to rule during the appointment ceremony, he had not talked to him privately as that would be improper at that time. The main reason he was nervous was not just because of the kings power to send him to eternal damnation but because Vonvak was considered to be a secular industrialist, it was for this reason why he was such a controversial figure in the senate especially in the religious estate, but he reassured him self that if the sovereign had a problem with him he wouldn't have allowed him to be ascend to his position.

He looked outside his apartment looking out at the grandeur of the imperial city, never before had there existed a city of such majesty, he then began reminiscing about his childhood growing up on his mothers estate: the time he spent running around in the red grass of the garden, the times he spent hiding in every hole in the mansion and all the time he spent with his brother. As he continued to stare outside, his wife came into the room with her white vile covering her hair and gown reaching down to her Knee and gave him a hot drink of bogi.

After finishing the drink he would make his way to the hyper rail and go meet the grand sovereign .
