Forget the union. If the employer has been dissolved, the union has no say. I believe the bigger problem is the legal difference between commissioned officers and rent-a-cops and the differing levels authority.

Frankly, a security guard has no more authority then anyone else that happens buy. No power of arrest, no legal command authority, no power to legally detain anyone. The list of things that could go wrong with that arrangement is enough to make one of those night time TV commercial lawyers positively orgasmic with glee.

If one of those guards got into a lethal force situation... The implications go beyond a civil court spanking.
