The sounds the monster now hears is the explosive impacts of Kirk rocketing through the city after the Forgotten, leaping across hurled sections of buildings and through the floors, then jumping from those still standing to close the gap. His sword still burns with fire, but this time he is more ready to give chase and stay within range of the monster that impersonates his wife's final moments, close enough to slay it permanently.

And his jaws are clamped tightly shut, locked tight in resistance of rising to the monster's taunting bait. It takes everything he is to not respond to the vile monster daring to utter his daughter's name. He has a special hell in store for this loathsome thing.

The Forgotten beast watched as its foe now was rapidly closing the gap despite its best efforts to putting lots of obstacles between itself and the vessel of the fractured Old spirit, though with each passing second it realised that the Zoconian was closing in. Though while the best was starting to worry, it was the spawn of Salem's ambition. Self assured and arrogant, to it Kirk was beginning to fall into its clutches. While that may not be true, it could sense that Kirk was reaching an emotional breaking point.

It manoeuvres its way through buildings, leaping back through streets before suddenly rushing into Kirk's face and hitting him head-on with explosion magic concentrated into a pin point released into his body. She didn't care what became of the city, the more she could deny her masters enemy the better. The old ones must not regain their foothold in the domain her master wants so dearly.

Once the explosion goes off she immediately climbs into the air, launching several tracking missile spells she made to track and explode on impact with force of several tons of TNT. They will quickly follow and attempt to destroy him and several buildings around him to deny the Zoconian's more of the ancient knowledge of their ancestors.
