Babylonian forces, backed by UK forces, carried out a surprise raid on a Pro-GF hideout in the highlands of Makhmour district, a local official said Tuesday

The two-day military operation was carried out by a special force comprising members of the Counter-terrorism Service (CTS) and the Babylonian army's 14th Division.

The special force destroyed several hideouts belonging to Pro-GF remnants in the Qara Chokh mountain range, south-east of Mosul, Ashur said. Some PRO-GF members have been arrested, while others have gotten killed. A Korparian has also been arrested for crimes against the Republic. He will soon be interrogated and sent behind bars, he will not be sent back to Korpar.
