The League of Yamhad

Before 1981 the League of Yamhad was an unofficial nickname given to the seven states of Damascus , Homs, Suwayda , Palmyra , Hama , Dayr al-Zour and Aleppo based on their close relations and decision to work together, and the fact that all of them were located in or close to the area of the historic state of Yamhad which bordered the first Babylonian Empire. It was also called the Confederacy of Assyria as all nations were in the same area that was controlled by the Neo-Assyrian Empire, the Union of Ayyubid after the Ayyubid Sultanate which ruled much of the area in the middle ages, Federation of Syria after the Vilayet of Syria the Panhist Turkoish subdivision that all seven provinces belonged to, and The Alliance of the Seven states which is self explanatory, After The Hejaz lost a large part of its territory to Mecca , and the British conquered Arabia, the seven states realised that a loose agreement wouldnt deter any potential invaders, leading to the official founding of the League of Yamhad on february 15th 1981, While the founding of the League led to some feeling of safety, the members were aware that the world was changing quickly and that they were in an area slowly being divided by increasingly powerfull nations which are part of alliances growing in both power and signifigance. To avoid being conquered by nations that might impose their will on them the League of Yamhad has decided to ask the Justinian Horde to become one of its protectorates,
