The Imperial Federation
It was a few years after The Continental War; right now The Federation extended it's hold throught the great part of Europe and had it's hold in Northern Africa secured through Algeria and had it's sphere of Influence secured in Europe and Northwest Africa.

The Economy was always foward and growing; worth as one of Aerth's most powerful, wealthy and prosperous nations and whose story this century has been one of a rollercoaster before the actual period of relative peace where the European Empire wasn't threatened to be wiped off the map; Pax Europaea. A period that begun after the Coronation of Her Imperial Majesty and Empress of Europe and The Europeans, Juliette VIII.

This period of peace was only disrupted temporally by the The Continental War between The EIF and The Russian Empire against; The German Empire, which now was long gone as the nation begun the process to make sure the annexed territories became part of The Imperial Federation. However, they knew there was more up in the skies; space.

The future of the world was up there, beyond our skies. Up there civilization waited to push for a new home; and as such, they did that thing.

Project Gaia; the project that called for the colonization of planets and it's terraformation for Human Life. The EIF because of other pressing affairs wasn't able to take part like it wanted in the Mars Terraformation and it's colonization, but yet it will see it's fruits and will land to set the first three cities being bulit in Mars: Gaia, Terra and Nova Pompeii.

While half of the resources for the project was going to the colonization of Mars through the Basset Space Center, the Hammaguir Space Center and then to the bases of Admiral Nicholas and Admiral Juliette. The other half was decided to be spent on aiding the Overlordian Efforts of Project Eden.

The Imperial Federation was just a step close to set feet in Mars and two in securing it for the future of the nation.
