Region: The Hole To Hide In

Blayredeshia wrote:RP: Explosive Landing
Before the Accord landing craft can reach the shore a large series of explosions rock the coastline as massive pillars of smoke and fire emerge from the Pontricare Wall and Port Justice. It has become evident that the Confederate High Command has ordered the destruction of the Wall and Port Justice in order to prevent the Accord from gathering any resources or advantages from it. Many of the resources, ammunition, and guns have been removed and the concrete shell has been destroyed. The only sections of the Wall that still remain are the Southern Wall where the Blayredeshian Fleet has fled to and the Northern Wall where the Battle of The Northern Coast rages on. The Central Wall though now lies in ruin meaning that while a landing will be slightly difficult for the Accord it will be unopposed. It is unknown if there were any Accord casualties from the explosions.

RP: Cold LZ

The invasion came to a screeching halt when the entire ocean front of Port Justice became engulfed in a cloud of fiery smoke. No bombing runs had been scheduled for the day and the shelling from Naval guns had been paused for the duration of the landing. The invasion force tasked with landing on the coast to the north of the city continued onward and landed on the beach with little issue. Scouting reports indicated a lack of hostile presence in the city and with haste, the landings resumed. With the infrastructure turned to ruin, the landing party (consisting more of army engineers) had to clear out the rubble to enable further unloading form the main force. In a day, albeit hastily done, a perimeter is established on the town's outskirts consisting of snipers atop rubble mounts and MG nests hiding in windows of the buildings still standing. Currently, the army engineering corps are performing mine sweeping and bomb removals should any be found.

A large chunk of the invasion force, a rough 4/5ths, is forced to use the beach due to the currently disabled port infrastructure. Tanks, supply trucks and later with command crew and vehicles are unloaded on the beach and sent to drive into the town which will be used as the command center of the continental invasion force. The airwings would continue performing sweeps around the immediate airspace to prevent Blayredeshian interference of the establishment of the Front.

RP: Rebuilding the Port
With a direct shipping line needed to reinforce the newly established mainland front, efforts are underway to rebuild a section of the port of Justice, renamed by General Jack Granger as "Liberty's Mantle". The army Corps of engineers, now split up into a hundred groups or more are focusing efforts on clearing out rubble, establishing a defensible position and making the docks semi-usable. New building materials and construction crews are being shipped in from the port of Iroray to Liberty's Mantle in a desperate effort to rebuild the docks.
