I have quite a handful of help with collating and giving me info on what happened (it's a vast game happening concurrently, and with me participating, I missed out a lot of happenings), but yeah, it was effectively mine, if I say so. ^^;

The 'Aspire' banner shows Singapore. I recognise the Esplanade.

A lot of effort, I say. You do the same thing for the zombie day?

Hello from this side too. : )

I don't remember what the Singapore banner showed exactly but you are definitely right. There is another banner that shows a prominent feature of the 'village' next to the place I grew up. (I don't wanna go into detail to protect my privacy but) I find it somewhat cool. : )

Mabuhay! To our embassy partner, ally for peace and sustainable development, we would like to request your support for our Delegate and President, Ariusgrad, as it has recently received a commendation proposal no less from our World Assembly Secretary General.

As the longstanding delegate of a large, founderless region for more than eight years and counting, this nation has demonstrated utmost dedication and unparalleled service for its constituents in the Philippines. In its dream for a shared world, it has kept the region open to all aspiring members despite the increasing demands of ascending in the international stage. Never has it been under an Ariusgrad administration that the region locked itself from invasion, facing the powerful forces head on with incredible skill in consensus building and maintaining alliances. As an integral member of the URA, the region under its exemplary leadership has since been key to many initiatives.

In a day or so, the landmark proposal will be taken up in the Security Council. Every manifestation of support will be most beneficial, for this is not only a recognition for a largely unknown region such as the Philippines, but also an interesting development, a great message, for all regions which may not have marquee reputation relative to the world, but which credentials are nonetheless noteworthy.

Please see the proposal content here: page=UN_view_proposal/id=joan_darc_1604956368

Maraming salamat sa inyong pagtabang!

Lanaograd, while we have no Delegate nor WA members here, I'm sure that Ariusgrad will receive the recognition that he deserves.

I've voted for him but doesn't look too good currently

As did I and I agree.

I'm back.

Not great, but better than before.

Wishing you all a great day ahead and all.

I know 2020 is probably the worst year we are going through right now, but I hope that there's a small bit of solace and good things coming your way. <3

2020 is not all that bad, after all! :P

Also have you guys heard of this already: https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/eat-just-lab-grown-chicken-cultured-meat-first-approval-sfa-13681072

I am fancying to give it a try, though... I am not very sure on eating it fully just yet.

I will see others review it first. It's really expensive so I don't want to waste my money.

Yup, I don't want to be guinea pigging just yet. Let's wait for the foodies to review it first, as I always thought. :P

Lab grown chicken meat : )

I'm all for science and that is surely interesting but I'm probably rather last in row when it comes to tasting it.

I'm curios how vegetarians think about it? At least those who are purely motivated by an animal protection spirit might have an interesting stance.

It would be an interesting debate, but personally, I think they probably can eat it, though it depends on views of people. Are they vegetarian because they don't want harm to animals... or they just don't like meat itself?

I think the former might be fine with eating it. The latter, nah it's out of choice, and I still respect one's dietary choice. ^^

No interest at all. Give me the real thing or not at all.

Hello Singaporean friends!

Forest's sixth annual Photo Contest is beginning, and as has been the case in past years, submissions are open to anyone from our embassy regions. We'd love to see some submissions from y'all! :)

2020 has undoubtedly been a year like no other. The general consensus is that it’s been crazy if not outright terrible. But with the holidays and the new year just around the corner, 2020 is finally coming to an end. Before we move on to a hopefully smoother 2021, though, there’s one last thing that needs to be done: the sixth annual Forest Photo Contest!

Here's what you need to know:

🌲 We have four categories once again this year:

  • LinkTrees (this category is permanent each year)

  • LinkLight & Dark (photos that display astounding lights and/or shades)

  • LinkSeasons (photos that represent one of the seasons or a certain time of year)

  • Link2020 (any photo that resonates with or represents this crazy year)

🌲 You may submit up to 12 photos total. You may choose how to divide those among the different categories, but please do not submit more than 12.

🌲 Please post your photos in the appropriate thread on our forums, located Linkhere. You may also submit photos via a link to an image hosting site in a telegram to Mount Seymour.

🌲 The photos must be taken by you, but can be taken at any time (not just during the contest).

🌲 Anyone in Forest or in a region which has an embassy with Forest may submit photographs for the Contest.

🌲 Timing:

  • Submissions will be open from December 18 at 00:00 GMT (7:00pm Dec 18 EST) to January 23rd at 23:59 GMT.

  • Voting will begin on January 23rd at 23:59 GMT and end January 30th at 23:59 GMT.

🌲 Voting will take place on a Google Form. Needless to say, please no puppeteering!

🌲 The photographers with the top three photographs in each category will have their photos acknowledged on our RMB, on our World Factbook Entry, and potentially in our next foreign update. A banner will also be created with a collage of the top photos to applaud the winners, and participants in the competition will be encouraged to add it as their nation's custom banner. Forest's flag will also be changed to the 1st place photos in each category for a week after the Contest.

Now it's time to head out and start photographing! Good luck to everyone!

Any questions about the Contest should be directed to Mount Seymour.
