What' s a big issue in your country? Crados is currently working on legislation that would revise the Federal code on food additives and legal drugs and their recreational consumption. substances prominently effected are caffeine, nicotine, and tobacco products. Caffeine is being limited to a limit of no more than 140 mg/avg cup of coffee (8 fl oz - 237 ml), 50 mg/avg cup of tea (8 fl oz - 237 ml), 50mg/360ml (1 can) of soda, and 1 mg/ml for all energy drinks with a limit of 250 milligrams of caffeine per drink. Tobacco products also may face tighter restrictions... namely the banning of any ingredient included in a cigaret/cigar that proves exclusively detrimental to one's health (or as a base rule - a product that on it's on is recommended against consuming). If these restrictions pass, cigarets will prove to be much safer to consume (although still incredibly unhealthy). Also as an addition to these restrictions, tobacco companies are being pushed to offer an electronic alternative to their product. This move was made after numerous studies showed the benefits of e-cigarets and e-cigars as healthier alternatives to traditional products. the federal government is setting e-cigaret nicotine levels on a 4 tier scale (low - 8mgs, med - 14mgs, high - 20mgs, MAX - 26mgs); e cigars must not exceed 40 milligrams of nicotine. In addition cigarets are restricted to no more than 10-15 milligrams of nicotine per cigaret, whilst cigars are unaffected by any new restrictions.

These issues were brought up due to the fact that more and more Cradosians are drinking coffee and energy drinks, and 32.3% of the population (18 and above) still smoke cigarets. A National member of the house brought this issue back to the nation's main view as he attempted to introduce a bill on the relegalizing cigaret advertising. Many predict that such may be passed if said company complies with offering an electronic version of their product. Both Labor and Conservative members approve of instituting a national 5% tax on all e cigaret packs (e cigaret packs are set to include 5 cigarets per pack).

80% of Social Democrats, 47% of Labor, 21% of Conservatives, 8% of Cradosian Nationals, and 62% of Green party members also approve of legalizing marijuana for sale. [House of Representatives]
