Swiftyshire maintains a pretty straightforward policy when it comes to diplomatic relations, it will treat others the same way it is treated. Barring any circumstances such as bad blood based on previous conflicts, Swiftyshire's FA officials will almost always acknowledge others on a respectful unbiased basis, and will continue to display the respect if the other party reciprocates the sentiment.

Is it very important that Swiftyshire foreign affair ministers are intelligent, patient, compassionate, and able to be assertive when the situation demands it. Only the most social and charismatic among the nation are chosen to undergo rigorous training, this is also not discriminatory towards anyone of any species, as pony or machine are among two of many that may be selected. Swiftyshire takes diplomatic relations seriously in a very volatile world, stating that The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is arguably the most important ministry in the country's government because it's an important key factor in bringing about a better world for everyone.

History
It's a very new department, created right after Swiftyshire's formation to avoid having Captain Mullet do all the diplomacy since he wasn't really good at it. After the incident with Serealia and all the lives lost from the war, it became top priority to establish a foreign affairs ministry with individuals better suited to carefully weigh all the matters of a situation before making a decision (pretty much the story of the rest of Mullet's regime), not just out of national interest, but international too. A dedicated effort to prove to others that the country is more than the violent revolutionaries that gunned down troops that surrendered.

Diplomatic relations
As of now, Swiftyshire maintains diplomatic relations with almost 40 different political entities, whether they be small nations of 200k people or small tribes numbering in the hundreds. So far, the only other great power Swiftyshire has relations with, is the nation of Ozzy. Mullet insists on maintaining an embassy in the Ozzalonians' capital city of Ozboro, despite Radiant Aegis' disagreements with him regarding his policy on mutant suppression tactics and how he trolls people on the internet.
