I'm liking the new style of dispatch page. I approve. :)

I've noticed what I do is a take a blend of what other countries do and make it my own. Is that copying?

Also Noronica some of your links on your gov website are set as nations and says they don't exist.

So long as the end result is distinctly your own or you give credit to the person you've copied from, then it's fine.

Otherwise, I'm going to have problems.

I keep forgetting your the sorp. Ok just making sure.

If you are taking inspiration from (not outright copying) real life nations, that's cool. If you are taking inspiration from a nation on the site, you should ask first and then change it enough to be fully unique.

Ohh

There is very little as annoying as putting a lot of work and research into something only for someone else to rip it off two days later without even reaching out.

Likewise. GOV.ALT inspires such copy cats on seemingly a regular basis.

The ones that always hurt me the most weren't layout ones, which I had occassionally, but when RP ideas were hijacked right after I started a similar RP, and then I never had anyone show interest in mine because the new one would redirect attention. It actually hurt a lot.

Hey guys, I'm going to start a thread for the eastern club soccer league, which will govern the same space as CEFA from the Isles cup. I'm still looking for some cool names to work with, and I'd like to think of something better than, ya know, the eastern league. I think something that plays with the lack of a major land mass would be cool for flavor, ie Island League, ArchipeLIGA, Sunshine League, Liga del Sold, etc would be cool, but anything catchy is fine by me. The League would still be administered by IFAF. Please shoot me some ideas!

As I can imagine :/

Razzgriz and New totzka

I know you're going to probably hang me for this Nights edge but I'm going to want some call center advice as I just got hired to work in one.

A bitter part of me has considered just copying ideas a bit after they start each time someone starts a new RP, but that would be sh*tty.

Just play this game.

Just sent in my map TG, made a decent-looking flag, and made the overview factbook with extraordinarily inaccurate land estimates.

Took me a few hours...I should probably blink now

I'll assume for the time-being that the exchange rate for the Imperial Note is small enough such that if the value was converted into dollars that it would remain under the 30,000 limit for GDP Per Capita?

Yeah it’s equal to the American Dollar. I do really have a GDP per Capita of 2,600.

Yay non-modernized nation

That's a first. Yours would therefore be the smallest economy of player nations after Menna shuli.

Welp, this means war. No one can undercut my poverty.

Menna shuli wrote:Welp, this means war. No one can undercut my poverty.

Well there is a distinct difference between industrialized poverty and non-industrialized poverty. Most of the poor people in Phrion are on the fields working for a feudal lord or something while the poor of Menna Shuli are out on the streets or in a Svalbardian sweatshop.

One is clearly worse than the other.

I will not be undersold! I will beat the cheapest rate!

Since I designed my nation to be a crappy place in this regard, that's a compliment.

All this said, at least my people can surf and smoke pot and look forward to their inevitable deaths with religious fervour.
