The 5th Election of the Republic

Ending the months of a minority Parliament and total Government inaction, Evacasia once again undertakes a general election. This election is notable for a variety of reasons; the NLF faces a threat from its own members in the form of Labour, the AkFed Fiasco dominates the political scene, and the Fenish Independence Movement is has been shaken to its core by the recent FRA attack on Ivery. Despite the series of catastrophes that have defined the past 4 years, Chancellor Gerissen still holds out hope for a possible majority Government.

Undeniably, it's a strong start for Labour. A public tired and fed up with establishment inaction have turned to the new alternative, and they have turned in droves. The NLF's dominant holding on Evacasian politics has all but slipped away, as their new left-wing rival threatens to usurp their spot on the national stage. Though Labour are not the only major talking point to arise from the election. Uns Allein, who had for the past four years led the opposition against Gerissen and had brought Fenish independence to the forefront of everyone's minds, have begun collapsing.

It's theorised there are two main reasons for this: the FRA's transformation into a ruthless terrorist organisation, and the former party leader Erwin Wendel's proven involvement in the terrorist activities. The conservatives remain generally the same, and will likely become the opposition party in the coming months. For the next four years, it seems as though the NLF and Labour will have to form a coalition if the Government is to survive. This will likely mean Arland Gerissen will remain Chancellor for the next 2 years, followed by 2 years of a Labour Party Chancellorship.

The Creation of an International Court of Sentient Rights

When the Evacasian Government created the Declaration of the Rights of Sentients, it had one vision in mind. The vision of a peaceful world; one where each individual on Kalrania was treated as an equal, and where all could enjoy the freedoms and rights they deserve as sentient beings. This vision was shared with others, the signatories of the Declaration. Together, if only for a minority of nations, this vision was sought for. And so, if only for a few billion sentients, Kalrania became a far better place to live.

But the work is far from done. The Declaration is but a starting point for this vision, and the journey it has set the world on is only at its beginning. The next step of this journey has gone underway, as the Evacasian Government announces the creation of a Kalranian Court of Sentient Rights. This court, to be located in Pforzheim for the foreseeable future, will oversee cases regarding violations to the Declaration of the Rights of Sentients.

The court will consist of judges appointed by each signatory state who decides to participate, with the number of total judges equaling the number of participating nations. Each nation may nominate 3 judges, with one of the three elected by the participating nations. A judge will serve a non-renewable term of 9 years. (OOC: Basically, it functions like the European Court of Human Rights).

Invitations to participate in the court are given to each current signatory state. As well as this, another open-ended invitation is given to all of Kalrania, both to sign the Declaration and to participate in the KCSR. Following their recent statements on the actions of Icewindia, a special invitation for both is issued to Kemonomica.

1st Amendment to the Neutrality Act of 2104

The Neutrality Act of 2104, the guiding principle of Evacasian foreign policy, has received its first amendment since it was passed 22 years ago. The amendment focuses on reducing the maximum number of military personnel who can be employed at any one moment, which previously sat at 1.5 million. Following the legislation, it now sits at 300,000 personnel. Chancellor Gerissen explained the amendment's reasoning further in a public statement.

"When we passed the landmark legislation all those years ago, the Republic was a young nation. We were only a year and a half old, and our army was still extremely large following the mass mobilisation which took place during the Civil War. Our armed presence in the world has since massively decreased, and with it the army itself. The 1.5 million cap placed by the Neutrality Act simply isn't adequate anymore, and so the amendment has been passed. It's a great day for Evacasian neutrality, and will certainly further our nationwide goal of keeping peace and prosperity."

After discussions amongst the various Representatives of the Akschoss Federation, a consensus has been reached amongst the Representatives, as the first diplomatic action of the Akschoss Federation - They were going to host an International Gala.
Additional Discussions, primarily by Local and Regional Representatives, took place to discuss where the Gala would be held. After another week, the location was planned out - The Gala would be held within the City of Tau Volantis, within the Artaecusian State of the Federation.

Preparations immediately began, to clean the City and to make it presentable for an International Event of such magnitude. A specific location was chosen for the Gala to be held at - the Tau Volantis Triumph Hall.
Workers of the Akschoss Federation were soon transported to the Gala Location, to prepare everything up to their specifications. Decorations were brought in from all across the Federation's Territories; Plants - from Alingarch and Liranaholm, Artworks and Statues - from all across the Federation, even so far as to ordering giant Ice Sculptures of the M8 and STALKER Tanks, to use as decorations. After a week, the decorations were finally complete. Rare Plants hung from the ceilings and walls of the Gala Location, their flowers providing an almost enchanted feel to the area. Abstract Statues and Sculptures were placed around the area, for people to view. And, last but certainly not least, to-scale Ice Sculptures of the M8 and STALKER Tanks were brought in, at the center of the Gala Plaza.
Checkpoints were established across the main roads of Tau Volantis, providing security for the to-be Attendees of the Gala. As a final layer of Security, the Special Forces Division known as Manticore Division - the most elite Special Forces team within the Federation.

RP:The Gala

The Platinian goverment considered this invitation as a great oportunity to show other face of Platinium to the wolrd, a more peaceful one, so it was decided that the honourable minister of external affairs, Lairon Bash, and the Platinian future ambassador of the federation, Fabian Reinols, will go to the Gala in Artaecus, with their long clothes that do not show any part of their skin and covering their faces with the ceremonial masks the Platinian envoy is sent.

The transport will be shared with the Alingarchi envoy as a sing of great cooperation and trust, it is planned that in the Gala the introduction of Platinium to the rest of the federation members occur.

Others Affairs

There is no official communiqué about the current war, demonstrating once again how little importance the Platinium government gives to it.

Some sectors of the population ask for a opportunity to spread the word of the Prophet to the rest of the world by missionaries or to accelerate the opening with the phasee 2, no response from the government has been made but as more time passes, the pressure of the people increases.

A change in the sacred readings has been made again, the soulless machine is no longer as doomed as before, in which was suggest that any AI conscious of itself needed to be destroyed, now under the new scriptures this has been reduced to only be a disgusting existence. It is expected that the people will follow these new teachings in the coming years.

RP: Revolts in Stalnoygrad Republic

After several reforms, the Stalnoygrad KSR had rebelled against the new, more liberal government of Kynthes. This is due to their more patriotic stance. They are angered against the parliament and Gatzga Monovich's liberal rule. They had preferred the old Confederate Communist of old. They had been very nationalistic, and anti-capitalist. The ruling party of the Stalnoygrad KSR, the "True Kynthes Party," a splinter group of the "Neo-Confederate Party" has been burning the union flag of Kynthes, and the flags of TNL member states.
The TKP has promised to bring back the "Old Glory of Kynthes," "The Ideological Purity of Kynthes," "The Freedom of Mainlanders and the Colonies," "The Socialist Federation of Gatisians" and the "Death of the TNL members, both former and current, especially Kavastor and Blayredeshia."
This has caused our humble nation to close down, for the quarantine of this group. To prevent the spread of this horrid ideology.

Wanting to make themselves more known on the global stage, the syndicalist union shall attend this gala and would like to offer their own collection of cultural items such as "electro-swing" music, hand-carved redwood furniture, and other accessories to have put on display. At long last, after a night of celebration and bonding in a cleared warehouse on the port of Atomville, the Kuni and Schismians would embark on their journey home, putting an end to the troubling chapter in the outcasts' lives.

Along with the 734 survivors, the Kuni also managed to retrieve numerous pieces of machinery and technology from the warehouse they had set up their temporary shelter in. Among these are such high tech items as microwaves, an old car engine, and a few waffle irons. While such manufactured goods are somewhat behind the times for most in Kalrania, it is nevertheless cutting-edge to the people and states of Antekuna, who in many regards have barely stumbled into the technological and industrial clout that many achieved one or two centuries ago. Accordingly, these items will be shipped to top engineers upon returning to Antekuna, in the hopes that the tech can be reverse-engineered to raise the unfortunately low development in the nation.

The Schismians, too, are not immune from the machinations of planned development. While the states have stopped short of outright forcing the outcasts to work for them, wary of the image it could set for outsiders in future dealings with them, they have begun a bidding war of sorts over them. Offering generous salaries and other concessions, the states hope to gain elusive high skill labor, particularly in the sciences, engineering and medicine, to gain an edge over their rivals. Interestingly, some also are seeking workers in diplomacy and international relations, stemming from a hope that the Schismians will serve as a cultural bridge to the Odrelan world in the far future of deisolation.

With Icewindian presence heavy in the Schismian Islands and the Northern Schism under control of a regime far friendlier and closer to whatever survivors may remain, the Kuni have seen little reason or viability in maintaining their presence in the Schism, and as such have withdrawn all ships and personnel from the waters of the North. In a final goodbye to Sasek'son, who still has the Kuni communicator gifted to him, the crew and survivors bid their thanks and farewell to him, expressing their immense gratitude for his selfless leadership and determination to bring the Schismians to safety. While he was given some time to respond to this, a few hours after making the transmission, the communicators went out of range, severing the final line of contact Antekuna had with the outside world. It seems that from now on, Sasek'son will no longer be able to contact the Kuni.

Once again, Antekuna is in total isolation.

The Status of the Schismians

Having never done a follow up post for this, I want to clarify that the Schismians arrived in Antekuna around a month after the events in this post took place. As for where they settled, around two thirds settled in Qaltoa, the comparatively cool weather there being more familiar and favorable to the Schismians. the remaining 250 or so were largely split evenly between the states of the Kuni Federation and Hwokān. The split varies depending on profession, though; mechanics and engineers skewed towards Hwokān where they would be handsomely paid, while artists, musicians and medical personnel would largely work in the courts of the Federation. Many of the less sought after professions would choose Qaltoa, where they would form their own neighborhood in the mountain valley capital of Kutzir.

With that being said, not all settled in the three great powers. While no more than two dozen would have chosen the other states on the mainland, around fifty chose to settle in Antenesia, where they now reside in the nation's second largest city, Tsola'itsi. A former trade outpost of a Solist empire long gone, the city has since become a haven for disenfranchised monotheists fleeing mainland persecution. The new community here, most likely comprised of the more battered Acheinceolvists who never again wish to suffer under the yoke of religious persecution, are a fully functioning religious community, with their own humble house of worship free from the more overbearing states on the mainland.

ICN: This just in the Hunters of Comaraka have taken over Godesa and have started a civil war in comaraka. They called themselves the Valentus Imperial. There goal is to make the Comarakans one of them and to hunt down the non comarakan. The remaining 10 members out of 300 council members have fled to southern Onatro. Many Onatros and those that remain loyal to council are fighting them nut they are outman as they have 1,500 ironist vs a strong 5,000 growing Hunters. Council member Vila Nox have called on anyone to help stop this mess.

RP: A Flurry of Responses
The invitation from the Akschoss federation, upon being tumbled through the now messy diplomatic systems of the various competing regimes has been met with jubilation by all of them, seeing the invitation as diplomatic recommendation of their side in the conflict with a join statement from the nationalist Augustine Junta (which now controlls most of the country) announcing President Mesny, Armel Marrast, and governor Armand Tiberi would be attending the event with an entourage. As well the socialist PAP rump government in the north also announced it's intention to go with President Alicia Carré to attend the gala with members of her cabinet. However each of these statements was then followed up with another statement condemning the other sides acceptance because of the illegitimacy of their rule. It's unclear who is now going however those in diplomatic circles and those of the Gatisian diaspora are pressuring the Akschoss government to figure out the conundrum, either by choosing a side as a "legitimate" representative of The Gatisland to easily settle the dispute or to invite both sides to attend in hopes of progress on a diplomatic solution and to press for unity. Though the decision must be made quickly as each side prepares to fuel the jets of it's leaders.

RP: The Jungle of Despair
Dublé was once a city of wonder, a rare northern metropolis once serving as the hub of Northern Gatisia's wheat exports south of the Mailès forest, with large amounts exchanging hands between owners of the northern megafarms and export agencies who carted the high quality goods all over the continent. However as the diplomatic crises and economic ruin of the recent years barreled down onto the city, it can be seen more vividly as a city past it's times and struggling under the conditions imposed by the conflict though still surviving through domestic exports to the increasingly needy northern market. Cracked and repaired roads, broken windows, and crumbling infrastructure contrast greatly with the large propoganda banners and jubilant broadcasts of the Worker's Salvation Government and even the pervasive eyes of Dubois placed on every poster seem oblivious to the true nature of the surroundings. With the elements of Dubois' army reaching the city late into the night, several thousand civilians attempted to flee what they knew was coming however hundreds were arrested and anyone thinking of doing the same was quickly penned into the city by Dubois' forces. The city is a lynchpin of northern infrastructure with the outskirts of the city being comprised of the three residential districts of Sarroux, Forsel, and Anesse on the southern as well as the industrial district to the west which contained many of the factories dedicated to the processing of grain and wheat as well as the famous Dublé train station and export yard where the city was linked to the world and where it got it's fame. As you enter into the more denser center you find the old city of Dublé where you find landmarks such as the imposing Pasquier Unification Memorial, the old charm of the Beron market, and the austere former Auber palace (now the Northern Cultural Museum) as well as the business and investment districts where the former offices of state and foreign owned grain giants who conducted the business that kept the constant hum of business in Dublé going now lay gathering dust with many high-rises laying empty and the Northern Stock Exchange having only a few support staff left to keep the lights on. In the very center is something common to many Gatisian cities, the administrative quarter. It is here the former municipal hall and provincial assembly lie and it is where Dubois' has planted his new headquarters as the tyrant of the north, ensuring that he can guide his forces until the very end and has already begun radio speeches to inspire bravery and further devotion among the populace. Now his armies man the edges of the city, establishing barricades in the quiet suburbia of the south alongisde MG and sniper positions in the many building dotting the area, as well cutting off transport links and arranging the train cars and shipping containers of the west into a veritable fortress. It's clear already that this won't be an easy fight, Dubois is dug in and from his bombastic propaganda addresses his message is clear and he aims to make every step into his forbidden city a painful one.

An expeditionary force is to be drawn up from troops not assisting in the suppression of the rebels in Hassan. The expedition will consist of :
- 3 divions if infantry plus additional auxiliary regiments totaling about 40,000 troops
~ 100 MBT's
~ 300 AFV's

- A half dozen warships to escort and assist the EEF in fire support operations
