I was looking at a WA resolution to condemn a nation. The condemnation is to express "shoack and dismay."

If that's the criteria, what wasn't this nation condemned long ago?

I really don't know. Probably because it wasn't a World Assembly-worthy issue back then.

Didn't expect Star Trek to wrap up that B-plot this early in the show. They did a good job with it though. Yet another castmember appears to be able to sing, and we're still waiting for a musical episode.

Someone summon Mel Brooks.

The good news: The US Supreme Court told the State of New York the government there must follow the US Constitution. Thank [insert deity of choice here] for President Trump and his picks for the high court.

The bad news: There are still three communists on the high court.

In response to the Supreme Court decision on Abortion, Nancy Pelosi (Communist Clown-CA) says the never to be sufficiently damned Democrats will continue to fight against gun rights and for abortions.

Think about that for a minute.

Thought about it. You and your Fox News-spouting nonsense have successfully run me out of Texas. Why you felt it necessary to turn this perfectly nice region into your own little propaganda outlet evades me. I've had enough of it.

Sorry, Big Tex. I'll miss your Saturday Breakfast posts. Bye.

Just a casual reminder to those in support of the new supreme court decision on abortion that we're not deciding between abortions not happening and abortions happening. We're instead choosing between dark alley abortions with coathangers or safe, legal abortions that we can pass appropriate legislation to decrease the frequency of.

Hope that creates some clarity.

Shame on Indian Empire for spreading Left wing waste material! Where did you get that talking point? The View? Some Facebook meme?

Let us see if we can straighten you out. The decision on Dobbs v Jackson Womens Health Organization[1] does one thing, and only one thing. That decision resets a constitutionally flawed earlier decision on Roe v Wade and puts that law making back where it belongs with the states. This decision brings the precedent back into conformity with the Tenth Amendment. In case you forgot, that one reads: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Abortion is not covered, nor was it ever covered in the US Constitution. (Here's a hint, neither is murder.) Roe v. Wade flagrantly violated the 10th amendment. The Supremes corrected that error by returning abortion lawmaking to the States and the people.

How did you get all the way through high school and not know these things?

The good news is the remarkably poor decisions made by single issue abortion voters may start to correct themselves now that the abortion debate is no longer a federal issue.

Now here is a casual reminder for Indian Empire. I am pro choice up to the point the fetus can be reasonably expected to survive outside the womb with today's medical technology. I am also pro Constitutional government. I am not in favor a government made up as we go along based on someone's feels on that particular day.

Not many people seem to understand the difference between banning abortion and the question (posed to the supreme court) of abortion being constitutional. It was the right decision to return it to states power as no abortion is not a constitutional right ... because it isn't in the constitution.

Whether abortion should be banned is a completely different debate to have

***** Texas Chat Reminder *****

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, or 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours.

The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php

Please register with your nation name. This is a great opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, debate, talk about the weather, stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff, and more. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and talking about the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates at the moment. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans, VirtualTexans, and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome.

We have added a new feature to Texas Chat, Texas Movie Chat! Chat with Texans while watching a movie. Fun stuff! So far we have watched Halloween, Shootout at the OK Corral, and Red, and recently a couple of new Star Trek series episodes. Want to watch something together?

Texas Chat, 894 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 17¾ years! Check it out! Good stuff!

But this region is a microcosm for Texas itself. The more Texas enacts conservative policies, the more liberals will leave.

I disagree. I think it is sad that Frisbeeteria chose to leave over opinions and facts that nation disagrees with rather than remain open to certain realities, or at least make an attempt to show us where they disagree with the facts set before them.

I do not celebrate their departure. There is plenty to be enjoyed here and they could have simply ignored the things I wrote.
