I would most likely go for a lightsaber with a thin purple blade. The handle would be long enough to fit both of my hands comfortably with a circular pommel. I imagine the color would be a mix of silver and black with odd nobs and switches to effect the length and intensity of the blade. Outside of that I might have a slight curve to help fit in my hand a bit better.
I'm simple. green, double bladed staff saber. Smooth wooden grips with little greebles all over it to make it look cool/utilitarian.

Probably some form of spear, as I would want that blade as far away from me as possible. If I were actually expected to fight other lightsaber-wielders, I would give it wings like a corseque, to help keep their blades as far away from me as possible as well. For colour, I would choose something in the range of turquoise.
