Unfortunately, it would be entirely typical of Werreales to turn up in the middle of his own funeral. So it might be prudent to wait.

A future under the Northern Star.

The results of the election had been counted and with bated breath, on October 1st, 2088 at 01:48, The Order of The White Star, and it's leader Galerkin Deniovich had won the election by 52% of the total vote, winning an outright majority in the Parliament. The Liberal Siberian Party came in second place in a major upset during the counting of Magadan and Omsk, taking 28% of the Electorate with Tanka Pavlovna as their leader. Delov Yegor of The Soviet Federalist Party conceded the election after a recount was done during a tie in the city of Omsk, and thus leaving the Parliament with a 3 way split.

Order of the White Star: 234 Seats.
Liberal Siberian Party: 126 Seats.
Soviet Federalists: 90 seats.

With the conclusion of the Election, The Russian Provisional State was soon renamed the Russian National Republic as The Russian Congress was soon to hold elections on who would become Prime Minister. Though Galerkin Deniovich was the most popular candidate, Whoever came in second during the Congressional election would hold the Office of the Vice Presidency.

Only time would tell but for now...Russia's future seemed bright.

Örebro, Sweden. A sizable city with a long history, most vibrantly displayed by Örebro Castle, built under Magnus IV and later expanded by Charles IX. For a long time it served as the residence of the governor of the Örebro area, however in 2032 it was simply turned into a museum, although being equipped with an armory and small barracks under it. Initially these barracks seemed useless, even Hugo claimed they were as much during a speech in 2078, however a certain group believed they could find a use for them.

Outside of the city rested the Army of the Searchlight Republic, Lera ever present, and ever vigilant. While they had ran into a few civilian areas before, most of them ended up supporting the cause, and those that didn’t pledge to the cause, just said they’d remain neutral in the matter, however, those were small towns with no more than 50,000 people in them, this was a bustling city of 570,000 thousands Swedes, and even though the group outnumbered the city, they hadn’t had to deal with much in way of conflict, much less aggressive civilians. Lera feared another Parliament Incident, but on a much larger scale.

Lera realized how stupid he was to not use his helmet’s zoom, he just had to use reflective glass binoculars. They were able to spook off the first couple of civilians to approach them, but eventually the overwhelming horde surrounding them was too much to handle without possibly injuring civilians, however they found that the civilians equally didn’t wish to injure them, practically smothering the force in bread, rum, and soup. Almost all of the city had come to a realization after the Parliamentary Purge footage was released, would they rather live under a tyrant, or a military force promising democracy. To them, the latter seemed like a much better idea to pledge loyalty to, it had just been a matter of waiting for them to show up.

Örebro Castle’s armory was just what Lera had been hoping for. Sitting in a security cage, and covered in dust, was the 和平使者 PA suit. It had been captured after a communist group attempted to coup the monarchy under King Adolf III, who wasn’t exactly pleased to see an insurgency kicking around a city only 100 miles away. Granted 100 miles is a good swath of land for a group to cross, but Adolf wasn’t the type to take risks. It wasn’t captured because it was destroyed though, in fact it had held up quite well against the hail of plasma blasts and laser shots, it had been captured after it’s makeshift fusion core ran out of juice. While it had only encountered H-45 PA troopers, Lera, alongside a few advisors at Fort Charles, believed strongly that it could still hold up against modern PA troopers. First order though was a new paint job and visor glass, the mint blue being replaced with a dark navy blue, and the red visor replaced with one of the same shape, but instead a milky white. It’s inscription was left alone, it still fitted the cause it was serving after all.

Västerås, Sweden. A former economic powerhouse within the Swedish nation, however, after a series of disasters involving the Big Top Atomic company, it was a derelict shell of it’s former self. No longer did the streets bustle with the newest cars, or shoppers trampled each other for the best deals in the city’s several malls. It was now only busy serving wildlife, greenery slowly invading the former streets and buildings.

In the waters outside of the city, another past relic lurked, one that painted the image of the military research that was once carried out in the area surrounding the city. This hunk of metal, slowly rusting away, was the XSV-62. It was planned to be a replacement for aging Malmo class submarine, however it was a far worse craft, it’s propulsion system being overworked, a single small reactor powering three massive drivetrains for such a massive craft was known to cause constant breakdowns, and that was ignoring it’s radiation management issues. It’s ICBM silos, while larger than the Malmo class’, weren’t more numerous and were far more dangerous, the radiation shielding, created curtesy of the Big Top Atomic company, was so poorly constructed that it just made more sense to not even bother closing them, as they only decreased CPM counts by one or two. Eventually, the damned thing was so irradiated that it was near impossible to stay inside for testing, which lead to the craft being abandoned in the bay, where a small barge was connected up to it for further observation.

Since then, someone had gone out of their way to build a small shack on the barge, but not much else had gone on with it. This, in Lera’s eyes, was a perfect opportunity, and a chance for the Glowstick Ghouls to prove their use. It seemed as though the radiation didn’t affect them, and they aggred to test this further by attempting to operate the craft. It took two hours, and an inspection reported the left elevation propeller had a cracked drivetrain, but eventually it quietly purred to life. “Sir, she’s not in too bad a shape outside of the drivetrain, and it seems the rust has been limited to the outside deck. All four ICBMS are intact and her torpedo loading system is still in an operable condition with all 16 torpedoes still present.” “Good to hear. Now we just need to wait for the others to get their surprise up in the air.”

This surprise was the XDDS-62, developed the same year, but with a significant difference from the XSV-62 project. That large difference being that it was a rigid airship rather than a submarine. Even still, it was a far cry from the zeppelins of the old world, the craft, while having lifting balloons, the ship was assisted by four NT-36 engines, and was also far larger than a normal zeppelin, considering it was planned to be used as a assault force drop ship, being equipped with Vertibirds, PA stands, and other such accommodations.

Also unlike the XSV-62, the XDDS-62 was actually functioning, and was known to hover above the city during tests, it had only been abandoned because the CPM count was getting too high for anyone to handle as several Big Top reactors spewed radiation into the air, alongside the trace amounts leaking from the XSV-62. Even though this had long since been managed, contaminants domes being temporarily placed over the reactors until the last bit of material was removed in 2075, but they chose against trying to salvage anything, residual radiation they had reasoned, was far too high. Fortunately the Searchlight Republic had no such qualms.

Getting the ship into the air was quite a struggle, mainly because the valves for feeding the ships balloons were rusted shut, and the fuel for the NT-36’s had long since become stagnant. They attempted to lighten the load of the ship by detaching all the Vertibirds, however even this wasn’t enough for the engines to be able to assist, they ended up having to waste 11 hours dragging themselves to Örebro and back for jet fuel. However, it ended up being worthwhile, as by the time they returned, her balloons were swollen with helium, and she was at a light hover, restricted only by the hangar, and limited thrust of the NT-36’s. One quick fuel replacement, and she was even able to have the Vertibirds reattached.

Lera and the Glowstick Ghouls had long since fallen asleep, making a small camp on the barge, however when morning broke, they were pleasantly surprised to see the airship moored on an old building. Another asset for the Republic was secured, however they also had to be careful now, the XDDS-62 was an obnoxiously large aircraft, and only god knows if radar had already picked it up.

A Leviathan sat in orbit of the oceanic world of Zerichs-II hanging over the planet waiting to receive its new set of passengers. Kerrigan was going to help her allie in expanding her reach. having a hold on one planet was one thing however expanding her reach was something that the Xenomorphs where not good at with no ships of their own. That left them having to get a hold of ships via having their kind sneak on or purposely brought on board and, ending up on another planet. So her she was going to taxi them to a new planet to start another hive. Should be a rather fun endeavor all in all.

When the large creature came down the share of the hive leaving poured into the beast. Alongside the normal swarm of xenos a few of the outliers also where joining the group.

(This is going to be fun.)

(Hardly, if we do this right the locals won't know where around until the Hive is already fully active.)

Ali looked at the Praetorian who was destined as the new hives Queen.

(Oh you would like that Alasandrai wouldn't you? that the poor aliens on the new planet won't know about us until your all settled in, just plan for things to not go as you want them to.)

(Yes yes, no plan survives contact with the enemy. So always plan for when things go wrong)

Ali gave a wry smile before saying her next bit of two cents to her.

(This is the Zerg they hate stealth from what I understand and would rather just swarm over something like the soviets of old earth.)
