The Yelizovo embassy's new design is based on French architect Étienne-Louis Boullée's Cénotaphe à Newton1, 2, featuring a hollow dome atop two cylindrical office floors where the embassy's core functions are discharged. Inside the dome is a 'sensory cinema' that pairs independent films with Italian-Brazilian culinary delights. The cinema is open outside the embassy's regular office hours (Mon-Fri, 9.30AM-noon) for public use.
The Yelizovo embassy will host the premier of The Girl from Ipanema, a production by K95 Studios which was financed by the FSSO superannuation fund. Top Secret: Agreement for Military Base in Brazil
Beijing — The Imperial Ministry of National Defense has signed a secret agreement with the Government of Brazil to open a military complex in the Fernando de Noronha archipelago in the northeastern Atlantic region of the country. The complex shall be named the Fernando de Noronha Integrated Refuelling, Logistical Support, Anti-Piracy, and Rescue Station. As its name indicates, it will serve as a military complex that will provide support for anti-piracy and rescue operations, and to fulfill strategic missions in the region. No public announcement will be made regarding this base and its capabilities will remain classified as top secret.
Military engineers in Beijing have used the Yǒngshǔ Reef military base¹ as an inspiration to build this new military complex in Brazil. The complex is a combination of an airstrip, a seaport, a military base and a Signals intelligence (SIGINT) facility². The concrete runaway will be 3,125 meters long (roughly 1.9 miles) and will have 15 hardened shelters (to house mobile missile launchers) nearby, designed to withstand storms and enough hangars to accommodate 24 combat aircraft and 4 larger planes. The runway is long enough to land a Xian H-6N strategic bomber. The military complex will have enough space to house 17,000 Chinese troops with enough facilities to support logistical operations from there.³
The military complex is designed to have piers and docking sea-walls, as well as an enclosed lagoon that will house a deep-water port. Therefore, the military complex will have the ability to dock an aircraft carrier fleet if necessary. Military engineers foresee the installation of significant weapons systems, including anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems, and CIWS defense systems that will enhance the protection of the base. Additionally, it will have an early warning radar site, 15 satellite dishes with the capacity to intercept, decipher and pinpoint the origin and destination of signals coming from ships, aircraft ans satellites.
Overall, the land reclamation for the artificial island will be more than 290 acres, which will bring the total area for the military complex to 680 acres. The construction of the military complex is expected to take 3 years and will cost around ¥7.12 billion (USD$1 billion). China, as a GSA-aligned nation, aims to use this new military complex as a way to preserve peace, prevent state coercion, and deter aggression against the government of Brazil and the GSA as a whole.

A police raid on the site of so-called "Third Republic of Counani" ended with 1 killed and 5 injured, prompting the Republic's self-styled 'Ecumenical President' Kuranosuke Spencer-Boisrond to go on the run.
The Third Republic is an unrecognized microstate with a population of 120 that is governed in accordance with fundamentalist Mormon values such as the law of consecration. It is located around a radio tower in the municipality of Calçoene. The tower had been seized by Spencer-Boisrond and his followers over a year ago, prompting the tower's owner to lodge proceedings against him in a local court. As time went on, more sympathizers of Spencer-Boisrond's cause flocked to the area, squatting on an empty plot of land adjacent to the tower.
The owner of the tower, who was joined by the owner of the adjacent plot of land months later, won their case and were permitted to remove the trespassers. The pair were allegedly fired upon when they approached the radio tower, leading to a fierce shootout when police were called to assist.
The shootout killed 1 police officer and injured 5 more. 2 of the injured officers were airlifted to Macapá.
Police stormed the premises after two hours, finding on-site 3 assault rifles, 4 handguns, 2 pieces of body armour, farming implements, and at least 200 rounds of ammunition. No arrests were made as the 120 residents had seemingly vanished into the jungle.
Spencer-Boisrond made an online statement shortly after the altercation, decrying the state government for its "oppression of the Mormon faith". He warned that his followers were armed, and would vigorously pursue a war of liberation against the government.
"We are God's chosen people, selected for a singular destiny, and that is to claim our Promised Land," he wrote. "The Utah Church had failed when they broke from the teachings of Smith, Young, and Taylor. We now claim a new Promised Land - the Guianas - to escape from the revisionists in America. The heinous attack on us by the courts and their officers is no more than a conspiracy by the Brazilian government to cheat us of this right. And we will not submit so easily!"
