Economists warn of "overheating economy"
The Yelizovo Stock Exchange opened strong this morning with a resoundingly loud opening bell, a sign that's indicative of Zeleniya's exceptionally strong economy which has grown precipitiously in the previous years as being among the most productive in the world. However, despite this resounding economic success, which was found in the neoliberal, bogsem-centric economic reforms of the late 80s and early 90s, economists in Zeleniya are beginning to sound alarms of a potentially dangerous situation: an overheating economy where productive capacity and economic growth begins to exceed aggregate demand. Citing the surge in the nominal GDP, low unemployment and increased vulnerabilities in supply chains attributed to the recent unpredictability of global tensions, economics researcher Alexei Cheng of the YSU School of Business warns that if the Zeleniyan government does not take steps toward cooling down the economy via a "comprehensive monetary and fiscal policy" that prices for many goods and services will increase and that any potential economic downturn could turn catastrophic.
In response to the alarms raised by economists such as Mr. Cheng, a spokesperson for the Central Reserve of Zeleniya, which governs the monetary policy of the country, states that the government is "aware of potential conditions for economic overheating" and that it is currently taking "active but cautious steps to sustainably foster further economic prosperity within the country."

In a shocking turn of events, a powerful 8.5 magnitude earthquake struck the bustling city of Ciudad de Matirote in the South American nation of Vardagos earlier today, sending shockwaves throughout the region. The earthquake, one of the strongest recorded in recent history, has caused widespread panic and significant damage to infrastructure.
The quake hit at approximately 10:30 AM local time, catching residents and authorities off guard. The epicenter was located near Ciudad de Matirote, a densely populated urban center, exacerbating the impact of the seismic activity. Eyewitnesses reported buildings swaying violently, with many collapsing as the ground shook beneath them.
Emergency services are scrambling to respond to the unfolding crisis. Local hospitals are overwhelmed with a surge of injured individuals, and the full extent of the damage is yet to be determined. For new players, the nation application should be utilized. For those wishing to expand their claim, the expansion application should be used, and for those wishing to bring a puppet to the region to serve as a rebel group within their country, or something to the same effect, the rebel application should be utilized.
Following the completion of any application, a link to the factbook that contains the application should be sent either via telegram to Geopolity Customs for processing, AND/OR may be submitted to the #applications tab on our 
Regional Discord Channel. Requests for rectifications may be made before you are accepted.
Please allow at least 24 hours for a response. Please note as well that if you apply via Discord that the process will be much quicker than if it is submitted by telegram. Should you ever take significant issue with the review of your application, you may send telegram/Discord DM with your complaints to Labyrnna or any of the RP Coordinators. Response times may vary. This should be reserved for complaints with regards to conduct of the review, not to what rectifications are required.
When your application has been accepted, a notice will be posted on the Regional Message Board. Until said notice is posted, new members are not permitted to post on the Regional Message Board or conduct RP. All posts will be suppressed, and all RP will be invalidated.
Notes:
Submission of an application is considered verification that an applicant has read the Geopolity regional rules, and the contents of this factbook, and understand them thoroughly.
Land claims should be kept reasonable in size, and ought to hew very closely to the real life conditions of the land being claimed.
Changes to population and GDP will be permitted only marginally, and not at all for wealthier, more populous states. Wikipedia is recommended for largely up to date information on GDP and Population statistics, and in the case of disagreement, will be considered the most valid reference. Should an administrative division be lacking economic statistics one may utilize the GDP per capita of the nation to which it belongs, and multiply that by the population of said administrative division to ascertain its GDP.This region does not use NS Stats in any way, shape or form.
Land claims that are varied in scope (taking lots of different bits of modern day states) may be rejected without sufficient reasoning for such a claim fleshed out in the history. Significant displacements of ethno-cultural groups is largely not permitted.
With regards to nation names, it is all but required that you utilize your NationStates account name. The administration reserves the right to reject an application if that name should be silly, or otherwise unfit for a nations name.
You MUST be an accepted member of the NationStates World Assembly to apply to the region, and this membership must be maintained over the entirety of one’s stay as a RP member of the region. You will be given a single warning upon submission of an application, and there will be no follow-up until WA membership has been achieved. Should you lose WA membership following your acceptance, for any reason, you will be removed from regional Roleplay.
Land Claim expansions should not be considered within your first six months of regional membership, and will only seldom be granted. They will be minimal in size and scope, and should be utilized for purposes of story, not as a land-grab. Reliance on such expansions for RP is strongly discouraged, as they will be few and far between. When granted, use of puppets to represent the land being acquired will likely be permitted.
Rebel applications should be used sparingly, and may be rejected if the administration feels they are unnecessary to accomplish what is desired. Please note that these rebel groups are 100% internal, and cannot be utilized in other nations without said nations permission, nor can they be used for land claim expansions.
Should you be removed from RP for any reason you must submit a new application, following all guidelines presented here.

WUZURG FRAMADAR GAANJIA ARRIVES AT ASHGABAT FOR PEACE TALKS
The Wuzurg Framadar of Iran, Behdis Gaanjia and delegation, following a brief communique with President Ghaniyev of the Central Asian Union, has arrived in a motorcade driving from Tus, the closest major Iranian city to the Iran-CAU border, to Ashgabat. The trip took roughly 6 hours, with 5 hours reserved for driving and 1 hour for the daily prayers of the day. Arriving at 16:00 local time, Gaanjia and delegation, accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Framadar (Minister) Zamin Firudinli, shook hands with President Ghaniyev and delegation and travelled to Oghuzhan Palace, the official place for negotiations.
During his opening speech in the middle of Independence Square (OOC: I don't know what the RL name of this is, I apologize if it is different from the RL name), Gaanjia proudly stated, "Central-Asia and Iran share a deep history together. This act of peace points to Iran's extending of her graceful hand for diplomacy and peace! Iran strives for peace in a turbulent region."

RFFSA approves $7 billion real extension to Trens Intercidades
The 350 kilometer-long extension to link São José dos Campos to Rio de Janeiro in 5 years

- The Rede Ferroviária Federal, Sociedade Anônima (RFFSA) has accepted a proposal from the Rio state government to extend its Trens Intercidades* project, a decision which would allow passengers to reach Rio de Janeiro from São Paulo in just under 4 hours.
A future extension of the Atlantic Line, forking from Santos to Guarujá and Itanhaém, to serve the Baixada Santista metropolitan area;
A feasibility study into the Expresso Pequi, which would link Brasília with Goiânia**; and
A $2.3 billion USD proposal to link Boa Vista with Georgetown***.
The Trens Intercidades is currently being built and becomes operational in just over 2 years. Its four routes - the Northern Line, Western Line, Atlantic Line, and Northeastern Line - branch off from São Paulo, terminating at Americana, São José dos Campos, Santos, and Sorocaba respectively. The new extension runs from the original Western Line terminus to Rio de Janeiro, with 7 stops at Taubaté, Guaratinguetá, Resende, Volta Redonda, Nova Iguaçu, Mesquita, and São João de Meriti.
The extension is 350 kilometers long and expected to cost $7 billion reals. Construction begins in 7 months' time and will conclude after 5 years.
Talks for the extension had been in place since the RFFSA inaugurated the project, but had only made headway after the state authorities in Rio pledged to foot the bill for the extension.

HRH will endeavor to enhance the relationship with Greenland by representing The Nordic Kingdom and The Crown. Policies include arctic preservation, economic development and other areas that Greenlanders and Nordic People can find common ground and build a strong relationship. We aim to help build the future for Greenlanders and to stabilize the economy.
We want to work with Greenland during this difficult time, where many young people have complained of the lack of opportunity to it's government. We are happy to assist these requests.

=-= A WORKERS' PARTY NATIONAL CONGRESS HAS SEEN A NEW NPC ELECTED, AND THE WORKERS' PARTY OPENS UP! =-=

What's happened?
As the debate spurred on within the Workers' Party between the Refreshers, the Rocks and the Wisers, an emergency Workers' Party National Congress was called by the Party members. This congress was voted on and passed, and has now been held. The results? A newly elected NPC, removing many of the members from the previously elected NPC, which only rose to power recently.
In addition, after being elected, the NPC called an immediate vote within the congress on whether or not the Workers' Party should be opened up to non-worker members. This vote has passed. It's now official, the Workers' Party of Zadago will begin it's transformation to: the People's Party of Zadago.
The new NPC.
The prior NPC consisted of 11 Rocks and 1 Refresher. Now, the newly elected NPC is a bit more diverse, with a Refresher majority. 8 out of 12 members are Refreshers, 3 are Rocks, and 1 is a Wiser. The NPC is now much more representative of the party membership.
Towards the People's Party!
Now that the Workers' Party has voted to remove it's workers' only membership policy, it has announced that the party will be doing some re-branding, changing it's name to the People's Party.
Vincent Orrantia, a popular Refresher on the NPC, had this to say:
"We have succeeded in our aims, the Workers' Party will now open up to non-workers, a huge step forwards for diversity, inclusion, and strength. The NPC, with the power entrusted to us, has therefore decided to rename the Workers' Party to the People's Party. A new membership policy will be put in place, with the only requirements being a commitment to the Democratic Centralist structure of the Party, alongside Socialist ideas and active participation.
In addition, we hereby recommend that the People's Assembly votes to change the name of our nation. Moving away from the Workers' Republic of Zadago, and towards the People's Republic of Zadago, or perhaps the Socialist Republic of Zadago."

After the release of the most recent economic numbers for Poland, The Sejm wrote up a defense budget which was passed on to The Senate. This morning, The Senate pass the bill onto the president which was signed into law. The budget maintains 4% of GDP expenditure on all military goings on. Annual acquisition budget for the armed forces will also remain at 42.5% as the increased manufacturing of armor demand a consistent budget. There was a measure to include a $5B black marked slush fund, but that was ultimately denied.

The answer is simply no, we do not have plans to invade Poland. Despite recent history, Poland has begun to grow as a friend with its Special Relationship in the European Council. Additionally we have a strong friendship and ally with the United European States.
We had been conducting routine flights to monitor activity in the Baltics, but this has not been directed at Poland itself. We have a right to monitor and defend sea lanes and air space across the Baltics. We maintain this.
Poland itself will never be a target, nor any European nation. The Nordic Kingdom will defend itself and allies, but never invade.
We are committed to growing and building our relationship with Warsaw.

The National Arabian Navy has officially negotiated the purchased of 4 Frigates from the Polish Navy for the price of 100 Million US$.
On the morning of 3rd February 2024, the current Commander of the National Arabian Navy V. Admiral Fahd al-Ghofaily has stated that the ships will depart from the city of Gdansk and arrive at Jeddah in 8-12 weeks, he further states that the ships are named,
1.) FG5 Sigismund I the Elder
2.) FG6 Sigismund II Augustus
3.) FG7 Sigismund III Vasa and
4.) FG8 Frederick Augustus I
Their class and short description are Bolesław I the Brave class, 4,200 mT, count: 4, American. Although this will be slightly modified to Bolesław I the Aden class.
Ship history: The Polish Naval Commander stated that the 4 Frigates have not been used in important events very much, they were often put on simple patrol mission. The Polish Naval Commander also mentioned that these ships were rather well maintained and had not experience severe ware. Due to the change of the Polish armed force's intrests, the ships were planned to be retired, being perfectly good ships, the Polish Navy selled it to the National Navy of Arabia.
In Summary, The Navy of I.S.A has purchased four multipurpose second hand, well maintained frigates from the Polish Navy for 100 Million US$ on 3rd of February 2024. The frigates are expected to arrive at Jeddah port in 8 to 12 weeks.

All application forms can be found below, and should be copy-pasted into a factbook and filled out. These must be placed in a factbook, and all Nation Applications must be preserved, unedited, following approval.
For new players, the nation application should be utilized. For those wishing to expand their claim, the expansion application should be used, and for those wishing to bring a puppet to the region to serve as a rebel group within their country, or something to the same effect, the rebel application should be utilized.
Following the completion of any application, a link to the factbook that contains the application should be sent either via telegram to Geopolity Customs for processing, AND/OR may be submitted to the #applications tab on our Regional Discord Channel. Requests for rectifications may be made before you are accepted.
Please allow at least 24 hours for a response. Please note as well that if you apply via Discord that the process will be much quicker than if it is submitted by telegram. Should you ever take significant issue with the review of your application, you may send telegram/Discord DM with your complaints to Labyrnna or any of the RP Coordinators. Response times may vary. This should be reserved for complaints with regards to conduct of the review, not to what rectifications are required.
When your application has been accepted, a notice will be posted on the Regional Message Board. Until said notice is posted, new members are not permitted to post on the Regional Message Board or conduct RP. All posts will be suppressed, and all RP will be invalidated.
Notes:
Submission of an application is considered verification that an applicant has read the Geopolity regional rules, and the contents of this factbook, and understand them thoroughly.
Land claims should be kept reasonable in size, and ought to hew very closely to the real life conditions of the land being claimed.
Changes to population and GDP will be permitted only marginally, and not at all for wealthier, more populous states. Wikipedia is recommended for largely up to date information on GDP and Population statistics, and in the case of disagreement, will be considered the most valid reference. Should an administrative division be lacking economic statistics one may utilize the GDP per capita of the nation to which it belongs, and multiply that by the population of said administrative division to ascertain its GDP.This region does not use NS Stats in any way, shape or form.
Land claims that are varied in scope (taking lots of different bits of modern day states) may be rejected without sufficient reasoning for such a claim fleshed out in the history. Significant displacements of ethno-cultural groups is largely not permitted.
With regards to nation names, it is all but required that you utilize your NationStates account name. The administration reserves the right to reject an application if that name should be silly, or otherwise unfit for a nations name.
You MUST be an accepted member of the NationStates World Assembly to apply to the region, and this membership must be maintained over the entirety of one’s stay as a RP member of the region. You will be given a single warning upon submission of an application, and there will be no follow-up until WA membership has been achieved. Should you lose WA membership following your acceptance, for any reason, you will be removed from regional Roleplay.
Land Claim expansions should not be considered within your first six months of regional membership, and will only seldom be granted. They will be minimal in size and scope, and should be utilized for purposes of story, not as a land-grab. Reliance on such expansions for RP is strongly discouraged, as they will be few and far between. When granted, use of puppets to represent the land being acquired will likely be permitted.
Rebel applications should be used sparingly, and may be rejected if the administration feels they are unnecessary to accomplish what is desired. Please note that these rebel groups are 100% internal, and cannot be utilized in other nations without said nations permission, nor can they be used for land claim expansions.
Should you be removed from RP for any reason you must submit a new application, following all guidelines presented here.

A member of The Polish Liberal Party, Mr. Maykl Vazovski who represents Novy Sącs, announced his candidacy for the office of the presidency after a law passed that he regarded as “disgusting.” The majority party, The Law and Justice Party, forced through a new abortion restrict in which a woman may get an abortion for any reason up to fifteen weeks. After fifteen weeks, the only exceptions to be made are for danger to the health of the mother, evidence of s*xual assault/inc*stuous relationship and fatal deformities of the fetus. Mr. Vazovski made a statement to media, in which he stated: “I’m frankly disgusted that PiS would restrict women’s access to medical treatment in such a brazen manner.”
President Popławski, in hearing these criticisms, dismissed his claims: “Mr. Vazovski fails to realize that we took into consideration extenuating circumstances when writing this bill. This bill is now the law of the land of Poland, now, he’s free to try and overturn the law but I don’t see that happening. I stand behind the new law, my party and the coalition that helped pass this legislation. I do however wish Mr. Vazovski the very best of luck with his bid for the office of the presidency.”
