MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS | МИНИСТЕРСТВО ИНОСТРАННЫХ ДЕЛ

Remarks by Marina Zavalnaya, Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation
    12 May 2024, Sunday

To our Brothers and Sisters of the Commonwealth of Tamazgha,

I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Commonwealth of Tamazgha on the significant progress made in the decolonisation efforts of Ceuta. The joint administration of Ceuta represents a crucial step towards reclaiming sovereignty and asserting rightful authority over this territory.

It is commendable to witness the determination and resilience of the people of Tamazgha in asserting their rights and reclaiming their ancestral lands. The joint administration of Ceuta is not only a victory for the people of Tamazgha but also a resounding affirmation of the principles of self-determination and sovereignty.

This deal has forced The United British Kingdom to acknowledge it has no legitimate authority in Ceuta or anywhere on the continent of Africa. It is a powerful statement against the remnants of colonialism and imperialism that continue to linger in our world today. Russia stands in solidarity with all African people in the face of Western colonialism and its barbaric nature.

We reaffirm our unwavering support for the Commonwealth of Tamazgha in its quest for justice, dignity, and sovereignty. May the joint administration of Ceuta serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all those striving for freedom and independence across the African continent and beyond.

BBC News - Ceuta Protests: British Citizens Voice Concerns Over Joint Sovereignty Treaty

Introduction
In the historic city of Ceuta, a British territory for over 300 years, tensions are simmering. Despite recent referendums where citizens overwhelmingly chose to remain under British governance rather than moving to a joint sovereignty model with the Commonwealth of Tamazgha, protests have erupted. The demonstrations reflect deep-seated concerns about a new treaty that proposes shared control between the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Tamazgha.

The Heart of the Issue
Ceuta's strategic position at the mouth of the Mediterranean has long made it a nexus of European and African commerce and culture. The recent treaty, introduced despite the referendum's clear mandate, has surprised and angered many locals who feel their votes and voices have been disregarded.

Details of the Treaty
The Treaty of Joint Administration for Ceuta outlines several key provisions:
- Joint Council Establishment: A body comprising equal representatives from both the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Tamazgha to govern Ceuta.
- Economic and Social Integration: Aims to facilitate the free movement of goods, services, and people between Ceuta and the two governing nations.
- Military Cooperation: Includes provisions for a shared military presence, specifically at Ceuta’s airbase, to bolster regional security.

Citizen Reactions
Protesters argue that the treaty contradicts the results of the recent referendums, where the majority voted to maintain exclusive British sovereignty. "We voted clearly and decisively to remain British," shared Maria, a local shop owner and protestor. "This treaty feels like a betrayal of our democratic decision."

Government Responses
Officials from the UK have been quick to respond, emphasizing that the treaty is a strategic decision aimed at enhancing regional security and economic stability. However, details on how they plan to align these strategic goals with the expressed will of Ceuta’s citizens remain vague.

Looking Forward
As the protests continue, the future of Ceuta hangs in the balance. The British government faces the complex task of navigating international diplomacy and local dissatisfaction. How they manage this may set a precedent for how democratic decisions within their territories align with broader geopolitical strategies.

Conclusion
The situation in Ceuta is a poignant example of the complexities facing modern governance, where international relations and local democratic voices often collide. The coming months will be crucial in determining whether the voices of Ceuta's citizens can influence the final implementation of the joint sovereignty treaty.

The Commonwealth takes note of the concerns the people of Ceuta are expressing. The government wishes to set up a panel in the city where people can voice their concerns and ask any questions regarding what will happen now. Details will need to be discussed but Tamazgha's intention for Ceutans are thus: Border to be opened. An offer of citizenship and all the benefits it entails, including visa free travel to other GSA countries. Development in infrastructure to connect Ceuta to the rest of the mainland, increasing the prosperity and importance of Ceuta. Ability to take part in Tamazghan politics. And with the Commonwealth now taking part in defending Ceuta the region will be safer.

Rainy Season Brings Adversity

Testing the mettle of both the Indonesian people and governance, mother nature has once again brought with her a plethora of natural disasters this rainy season that plague the Indonesian archipelago. From cold lava flows and mudslides in West Sumatra, inclement rains causing an uptick in vehicular crashes throughout Java, flooding events throughout Sulawesi and Papua, recent events have left local communities reelint from the devastating effects. Local authorities have been responding promptly and efficiently to every happening, ensuring evacuation routines are efficiently being seen through as well as temporary shelter and or housing and supplies are provided to those affected. This has more thoroughly tested the central government's ability to seamlessly coordinate multiple crises simultaneously, diverting disaster relief aid and resources to those in need while maintaining enough reserves for future incidents as they appear never ending on the horizon. President Rayyan signed into law just yesterday a bill allocating a higher budget for natural disaster response relief for regions more frequently affected. This comes as Jakarta continues to reassess the most efficient ways to respond to these inclement events.

In unrelated news, Sultan Zarak Aman Ibni bin Dhaafir, Sultan and Yang-di Pertuan of the State of Johor, The Abode of Dignity and its dependencies has in an unexpected move, decided to abdicate his throne after only nine years of coronation, and fourteen as de facto Sultan. It is speculated that His Majesty Ibni bin Dhaafir has decided to abdicate so that heir apparent, Atan Yunos Mutlaq Ibni bin Zarak may ascend to the throne of the State of Johor. The royal family of Johor has currently declined to answer any questions on this matter at recent public sightings despite every effort of media personnel to ascertain evidence to confirm these speculations.

Reducing Costs Act of 2024

The Imperial Diet has passed the Reducing Costs Act of 2024 which gets rid of the dreaded Shaken inspection system that many car owners have to face.

Under the current system, owners of cars have to get their cars inspected every two years and pay higher costs as the cars get older. But the new law will get rid of that and only require trucks above 8 tons, buses/taxis, rental passenger vehicles, and large-sized special motor vehicles to be inspected.

This does not get rid of the Automobile Weight Tax and owners of cars are still required to pay the tax every two years.

Japanese Embassy in The United British Kingdom - Encrypted Message

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

The Empire of Japan is deeply humbled to have the United Kingdom as a great friend and ally. The Empire of Japan and the United Kingdom have fought side-by-side in many wars starting with the Boxer Rebellion in China. The Empire of Japan and the United Kingdom have also stood together against Russian aggression since the 1890s.

The United Kingdom was Japan’s first ally starting in 1902 with the signing of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance which expired in 1923 and the alliance helped protect Japan against Russian aggression. The alliance also helped Japan gain international prestige and be considered on-par with other powers.

In the Russo-Japanese War, the United Kingdom sided with Japan against Russia which angered many European powers such as Russia and France and also the United States. The United Kingdom provided assistance through intelligence, financing, ship designs, and diplomacy throughout the war. The United Kingdom also compared Japan’s attack on Port Arthur as similar to the British Battle of Trafalgar and awarded the Imperial Japanese Navy a lock of Admiral Nelson’s hair which is now displayed in the Imperial Japanese Naval Museum.

During the outbreak of World War One, Japan answered the British Empire’s call for allies and took German possession’s in the Pacific and China. Japanese Warships were also dispatched to the Mediterranean and protected Allied shipping from German U-Boat attacks.

Unfortunately in 1923, the alliance was dissolved due to United States pressure. But UK continued to send goodwill messages such as sending ships to Tokyo in 1934 for a naval parade in honor of the late Admiral Togo Heihachirō which the UK called the “Nelson of the East”.

Japan had a brief war with the United Kingdom starting in 1941 and ending in 1945 which Japan is sorry for. But after the war, Japan and the United Kingdom continued to build relations and the United Kingdom remains one of Japan’s closest allies. The United Kingdom also helped Japan’s transition to democracy, with Japan adopting a Westminster type government. Japan and the United Kingdom continue to stand as beacons of international law and against Russia’s imperialist ambitions.

In honor of our historic relationship, the Empire of Japan would like to host a Japanese-Anglo Friendship Exposition in the United Kingdom and establish a Japanese-Anglo Friendship Museum in both of our countries.

The Empire of Japan on the behalf of the Emperor would like to award a Katana to the British Crown in a formal ceremony and also cherry blossom trees to be planted throughout London.

Best Regards,
Japanese Ambassador to the United Kingdom

Breaking News: Authorities serve search warrant and arrest conspiring mass shooter after three deputies shot and injured

In what appears to be yet another tumultuous event to have hit the City of Suvorovo, Federal and State authorities have announced that they have executed a search warrant and, after an intensive shootout, arrested a man who was conspiring to commit a mass shooting.

Descending upon an inconspicuous townhouse in the Shelograd District south of Suvorovo Centre, authorities have arrested Aksit Akkoyun, a Turkish national living in Zeleniya under permanent immigrant status. On Facebook, Mr. Akkoyun appears as a humble 30 year-old man who works as a baggage handler at Zelenavia's hub at Yelizovo Gumin International Airport and enjoys to do competitive bowling in his pastime. However, in speaking to the press, the National Police Agency has stated that Mr. Akkoyun raised "immediate alarm" upon revealing his true nature on Twitter and 4chan.

A self-described "Turkic Ultranationalist" with a "longing for a Greater [Turkish] Empire" and outspoken for his support of the Blue Wolves Organization according to his Twitter profile, Mr. Akkoyun posted on 4chan and Twitter his intentions to wage "Jihad" against the Iranian and Alevi infidels as retaliation for the events of the Nova Prospekt Shopping Centre Riot which had stirred up the Zeleniyan Middle Eastern communities in the weeks following it's occurrence. In the day before his "the Great Jihad," Mr. Akkoyun posted threats against the Zoroastrian Centre of Yelizovo (which serves as a pillar in Zeleniya's religious Iranian Community) and the Alevi Justice Centre, remarking that the "Iranian people are nothing less than an obstruction that must be liquidated to realize the true unity that Turks have been longing for."

Extensive police protection was immediately mobilized to both the Zoroastrian Centre and the Alevi Justice Centre in anticipation of Mr. Akkoyun's appearance and a search warrant with ample evidence of his murderous intentions was swiftly acquired. Only mere hours from the alleged time that authorities predict he would act, Mr. Akkoyun would appear on a Kick livestream (which he had posted on 4chan and Twitter) praying to the Quran, guns in hand. Authorities then began besieging Mr. Akkoyun in his house and a firefight ensued for ten minutes on livestream, resulting in three deputies sustaining gunshot wounds until Mr. Akkoyun himself would be shot in the abdomen and ultimately subdued and taken to custody. A masked SWAT officer holding down a screaming Mr. Akkoyun was seen wagging his finger and shaking his head toward the camera before shutting down the livestream.

Having seized a treasure trove of illegally imported automatic weapons that most likely originated from the Central Asia region, four hard drives containing US$725,000 worth of bitcoin and plans to spur an Islamic insurrection against the Zeleniyan Government, the NPA has announced that Mr. Aksit Akkoyun is currently being held at the Suvorovo State Detention Centre without bail on several charges of conspiracy to commit insurrection, conspiracy to commit mass murder, conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism, illegal importation of firearms and many more pending trial. Should Mr. Akkoyun be found guilty on all charges, he will be facing the death penalty, ten life sentences in the Katorga, twenty five years in the Katorga and a Ƶ5 billion (US$5 million) fine.

In reacting to this, members of the Turkish, Iranian and Alevi communities condemn the attempted act of mass murder and have begun calling for a restoration of calm between the communities. The National Police Agency has also announced that, as a result of the importation of several peculiar illegal firearms, an investigation into the true nature of the events supporting this incident shall take place. A Spokesperson from the Krepost states that the President has sent his personal congratulations to the "valiant officers of the National Police Agency" and announces his intent to "handsomely award those who have taken part" in the "meticulous operation to save many lives."

Prime Minister Warns Doctors Against Continued Protests

With medical students and professionals still protesting after many months, Prime Minister Sagong, preciously known as Chief State Councilor, has issued an ultimatum to medical professionals currently protesting. Those who are protesting are to return to work within the month or have their medical license revoked. Prime Minister Sagong has not commented on whether or not those who face suspension will be able to reapply for their medical license and no other minister in the Grand Assembly has issued a statement either. Prime Minister Sagong and His Majesty, King Hakkun, have been working closely together to shape legislation that will attempt to calm the protests by compromising with protestors while also attempting to prevent unnecessary deaths from the decreased volume of operating medical staff across Saejoseon.

New Election Law Passed By Grand Assembly

A bill has been signed into law by His Majesty, King Hakkun, after being passed by the Grand Assembly. This new bill will only allow those born in Saejoseon to run for any political office higher than a municipality. Critics of the bill have called it xenophobic and have condemned its passing. Supporters, however, believe that the law will preserve the cultural and ethnic identity of the Great State of Saejoseon. Despite the support it has, many believe a more ethno-centric government may lead to continued problems with population down the line. These beliefs have been labeled as "very unlikely hypotheticals" by supporters of the bill. No official comment has been made by the Prime Minister and His Majesty.

Official Statement from His Excellency Mr. Dùsan Volin, Infinian Ambassador to the UAN | Meqelicha Oficiyalá ayte Yevó Exelensiyúya, Leyatú Dùsan Volin, Amvísadèr vu UAN

"Esteemed colleagues, I talk to you all today to address resolution UANGA/DRES/33. The Imperial Federation profoundly regrets the state to which international affairs surrounding The United British Kingdom, Russian Federatsya and -Empire of Japan- have deteriorated. Increasingly, the feuds between these nations have devolved to the point where every action these nations take is inherently over-analyzed with preconceived hostility and bias by those nations who sympathize with either side of the debate.

Our assembly exists to solve the pressing matters of our globe and our peoples - problems that are too large for single nations to deal with. Dealing with matters like climate change and international human rights, but also fostering scientific collaboration and international justice. The current state of affairs is emblematic of the increasing deviation of those principles. Focusing on every single detail to blacken a disliked nation, hoping to bring them into further disrepute. The Imperial Federation deeply regrets that the United Assembly of Nations is heading down this path, and it should stop now.

We will always stand with the righteous and the just. Those who are in violation should be punished. But we cannot function as an organization if we use it to discredit others. The Imperial Federation shall therefore abstain from voting on Resolution UANGA/DRES/33."

EMBASSY OF IRAN TO ZELENIYA, YELIZOVO

To the courageous people and law enforcement of Zeleniya,

I am here to honor and offer my utmost commendations of the brave law enforcement officers who have taken down the psycopathic and dangerous Aksit Akkoyun in his quest to murder Zoroastrians and Alevis. I am sickened that such a man can even exist on this planet, imbued with bigotry of the highest order. Iran fully backs the struggles that the Zoroastrians and Alevis of Yelizovo have to deal with against harassement and discriminatory behavior by those that seek to tear down all they have worked so hard to build. I truly hope that Akkoyun is given true justice for his devious and twisted mind.

With my utmost prayers,

Banou Parbhu

Ambassador of Iran to Zeleniya

Meanwhile, in Rhages...

In Shahyad Square, a congregation of nearly 20,000 and growing protestors are marching outside of the Zeleniyan Embassy in Iran. They are holding up signs of Akkoyun portraits crossed out with red marker, and a myriad of slogans. "DEATH TO AKKOYUN," "JUSTICE TO IRANIANS," "JUSTICE TO ALEVIS," "KILL THE PSYCHO, ZELENIYA," as well as some questionable anti-Turkish slogans. However, the message is clear. Iranians want justice from Zeleniya and the execution of a potential mass murderer and Turkish supremacist. Iranians want the execution of Akkoyun.

Japanese Scientists discover huge oil reserves in Antarctica

Japanese Scientists have discovered oil reserves totaling around 511bn barrels of oil in Antarctica and several science groups are looking at developing oil drill platforms for scientific purposes. A new scientific group called the Evergreen Science Group has drawn up plans to develop a scientific oil platform expected to drill up to 100,000 barrels of oil a day which will go to a science facility in Japan to be studied. After it’s scientifically studied the oil will be properly disposed by recycling it in an oil refinery.
